教学设计与反思

一、教材分析

本节课是六年级第一单元的第四课时,要求学生能用形容词的比较级来谈论自己、朋友及其他事物,能在活动中准确表达。通过这节课的学习,引导学生关注自己身边的人和事物,培养学生分析观察的能力,并为以后学习形容词最高级打下基础,在教材中处于举足轻重的地位。

二、学情分析

尽管本节涉及的内容前三节课的学习已有基础,学生对形容词的比较级已有了解,但是还有少数同学在活动中该方面知识运用起来有困难。因此,在本节学习中还应该以练习为主,通过对比学习使学生更好地掌握比较级的用法。这节课中涉及到heavy,thin,big的比较级形式,和前面学习的比较级形式有区别,所以学习时应正确引导,避免学生走弯路。

三、教学目标

知识目标:1、能听、说、读、写形容词的比较级形式:bigger,

smaller, longer, thinner, heavier.

2、熟练掌握句型A is heavier than B. C is thinner

than D. This apple is bigger than that

one.等。

能力目标: 1、能用以上形式描述人物和动物的特征;

2、能根据let’s play提供的小图进行替换练习,

让学生在自然的情境中运用所学单词,进行对话。

情感目标:通过本节的学习,引导学生关注身边的人和事,培

养学生观察分析的能力。

四、教学重点和难点

教学重点:掌握本课时要求四会的五个形容词的比较级形式。

教学难点:掌握形容词heavy,thin,big的比较级构成形式,以及

在交流中灵活准确地运用形容词比较级结构。

五、教学过程

(一)复习旧知

提问两名同学:

T: What’s your name? How old are you ? How tall are you

板书: 12 13

145cm 150 cm

T: Who is taller? Who is older? Who is stronger ?

引导:Zhang is older than Li. Li is younger than Zhang .Zhang is taller than Li.Li is shorter than Zhang .Zhang is stronger than Li.

(出示词卡)指名学生把单词贴到黑板相应的位置

(二)授新课

1、导入新课:今天我们学习PartB.

板书:Unit 1 How tall are you ?

2、Play game: 吹气球比赛

请两名学生上台吹气球,教师发指令“Make it big”.这两名同学一边吹气球,其他同学随他们吹的节奏加油:Bigger ! Bigger!Bigger !看谁在指定的时间内吹得大,谁就获胜。板书:bigger。

T: Can you make it smaller ?

学生然后拿着吹大的气球,慢慢地放出空气,其他同学喊“ Smaller !

Smaller ! Smaller ! ”板书:smaller.

3、操练单词bigger 和smaller。

(看大屏幕)(出示一大一小两个苹果)说句子:This apple is bigger than that one. That apple is smaller than that one .

(看大屏幕)指名说:This orange is bigger than that one. That orange is smaller than this one .

3、师拿出卷尺,一边拉长一边说:Longer ! Longer! Longer!

慢慢放松卷尺,说:Shorter ! Shorter ! Shorter !板书:longer 和shorter

(看大屏幕)(出示两个女孩像)生观察,说:Lily’s hair is longer than Lucy’s.Lucy’s hair is shorter than Lily’s.

(看大屏幕)指名说句子:This ruler is longer than that one. That ruler is shorter than this one .

4、学习heavier和thinne

教师指名一学生到黑板前,和老师作比较,能用哪些词说出相貌特征?

(1)tall, short (2 )fat, thin (3)old,young (4 )heavy thin (板书)thinner heavier

仔细观察以上两词,看他们的书写有什么特征?

小结:a、双写最后一个字母加 b、变y为i加.

(大屏幕上)出示一男一女对比效果明显的图片,说句子:

例如:He is fat but she is thin . She is thinner than him .

He is heavier than her.

5、小组合作:四人小组运用所学的形容词的比较级,配上自己喜欢的节奏

自编chant.,交流展示。

6、出示单词卡片,领读单词,打开课本,听录音跟读。

7、小结:形容词比较级的变化规则。(课件显示)

(三)学习Let’s play .

1、教师与一位同学比手掌大小,比手臂长短引出:

My arms are longer than yours .

My hands are bigger than yours .

解释:yours =your +名词

2、游戏

两人小组比身高,体重,五官,身体部位,至少说出一种自己的优势。

例如:I’m taller than you ,I can catch the picture. My legs are longer than yours .I can run fast .请两小组板前展示。

(四)拓展巩固

1、唱let’s chant .(课件显示)。

2、(看大屏幕)用形容词比较级自由描述动物特征。

七、学生学习活动评价设计

本节教学过程中,基本上以两大组或四人小组来活动。通过让学生以小组形式对比说句子,提高学生的分辨能力,也可以暴露学生说错的地方,以求教学效果更好。让学生黑板前通过展示肢体优势练习比较级,表现好的有掌声鼓励。既锻炼了学生说英语的能力,又增强学生说英语的信心。总之,不管是教师还是小组成员的评价,实际上都是对学生当堂知识掌握的一种鞭策,无形中使学生体会到成功的快乐。

八、教学反思

本节课我设计了许多游戏活动,如:吹气球比赛,肢体比较等,让学生在轻松愉悦的氛围中学习英语,这样无疑在很大的程度上可以提高学生的兴趣,但是如果学生整堂课都处于高度兴奋之中,注意力都集中在游戏上,而忽略在游戏中使用和巩固相关语言知识,那么这样的活动无疑是个无效的活动,因此在每次活动后,我都设有检查和小结环节,引导学生归纳总结所学语言知识,整个教学过程动静结合,节奏快慢结合,学生不易疲劳,乐于学习,运用所学知识进行交流,课堂效率较高。

不足之处:本节课虽说听说读写面面俱到,但说句子时拖音太长,给人造成发音不准的感觉,无形中给学生带来说英语不利的一面。如果再让我上这节课,除了改正不足之处,可能情况还会变化,我应该因材施教,,因人施教。
