when i was a little girl, i usually played with my friends in the river in front of our house。
it was a small river and the water can just submerge our calf. the river was so clean that its bottom can be seen through the water。
the tadpole moved freely in the water。
the flowers opened here and there. the birds were singing leisurely。
that’s the most beautiful scene in my memory about my childhood.several years passed，the river is no longer like the past look. when i go back my hometown，the river shocks me。
waste paper and used coke cans are discarded everywhere。
plastic bags fly in the sky and get caught in the trees when the wind blows. garbage floats in the river and pollute the water。

Protect the Environment
I’m worried about my country.我很担心我的国家
There is pollution everywhere. 到处都有污染
It’s time to do something about it.是该做点什么的时候了。
We need fresh air to breathe. 我们需要呼吸新鲜空气。
We need pure water to drink. 我们需要喝干净的水。
We need a clean environment to be healthy. 我们需要整洁的环境，身体才会健康。
People have to stop littering. 人们必须停止乱堆垃圾。
We have to respect our surroundings. 我们必须重视自己周围的环境。
We must become friends of the earth. 我们必须成为地球的朋友。
First, everyone must get involved. 首先，每个人都必须参与。
Everyone must lend a hand. 每个人都必须帮忙。
Together we can clean up our neighborhoods.我们可以一起把周围打扫干净。
Second, we can practice conservation. 第二，我们要保护自然资源。
We can reduce waste and reuse things. 我们可以减少浪费，并重复使用物品。
We can recycle paper, bottles, and plastic.我们可以回收纸类，瓶子和塑
料。
Third, we can put up more ”Don’t litter” signs.第三，我们可以多竖立一些禁止乱丢垃圾的告示。
We can put trashcans on every corner.我们可以在每个转角都放置垃圾桶
We can pick up garbage when we see it. 我们可以看到垃圾时，把它捡起来。
We must take action to fight pollution. 我们必须采取行动来对抗污染。
It’s our future we’re protecting.我们是在保护自己的未来。
It’s our duty to keep our planet clean.我们有义务要保持地球的整洁。
So, please don’t pollute.所以，请不要制造污染。
Don’t be a litterbug.不要乱丢垃圾。
Don’t be afraid to remind others, too.也不要害怕提醒别人不要乱丢垃圾。
Lets protect nature’s beauty.让我们保护大自然的美。
Let’s make our future bright.让我们把未来变得更有希望。
