初中英语口语考试资料

初中英语口语考试资料Hey, guys! If you're a junior high school student getting ready for the English oral exam, you've come to the right place. I'm going to spill all the beans on how to rock this exam.Let's start with the very basic - greetings. It's like the key that unlocks the conversation. You can't just walk into someone's house without knocking, right? So, in the exam, a simple "Good morning, teacher" or "Hello, examiner" is a must. For example, when I first walked into my oral exam room, I nervously said "Good morning" and that little greeting set the tone for the whole exam. Now, talking about self - introduction. This is your chance to shine. You're like a star on a stage and this is your moment to introduce yourself to the audience (the examiner). Don't be too plain. Spice it up a bit. Talk about your hobbies, your favorite subjects, or something unique about you. I remember one of my classmates said, "I'm Tom. I'm crazy about basketball. Every time I play, I feel like I'm flying in the sky. And I also love English because it's like a magic key that can open the door to different cultures." See? It makes him stand out.Next up is answering questions. This can be a bit tricky sometimes. But don't panic. It's like solving a puzzle. The examiner might ask you about your daily life. For instance, "What do you usually do on weekends?" Well, you can say something like, "Oh, on weekends, I often go for a walk in the park. It's so relaxing, just like a little escape from the busy study. I might also read some interesting books. Reading is to me what water is to fish."And don't forget about expressing your opinions. This is super important. If the examiner asks you something like "What do you think about school uniforms?" You can't just say "Good" or "Bad." You need to give reasons. I once said, "I think school uniforms have their pros and cons. On one hand, they make us look united, like a big family all wearing the same clothes. But on the other hand, they might limit our personal style a little bit. However, overall, I think they're okay because they represent our school spirit."There are also some useful phrases that can make your speech more fluent. Phrases like "in my opinion", "as far as I'm concerned", "to be honest". For example, "To be honest, I'm not really good atmath, but I'm trying my best to improve."When it comes to pronunciation, it's like the melody of your speech. If your pronunciation is off, it's like singing out of tune. Listen to a lot of English podcasts or watch English movies. Imitate the way native speakers talk. My friend Jack practiced his pronunciation by repeating after the characters in "Harry Potter" movies. And it really worked for him.In conclusion, the key to acing the junior high school English oral exam is to be confident, be prepared, and be yourself. Just think of it as having a friendly chat with someone. Good luck!。

Unit 11. I think this has something to do with people's moods and personalities. A person in high spirits often enjoys quick-tempo music. When one feels blue, the choice is more likely to be slow, sad music to fit that mood. .2. Personally, I prefer pop music, Classical music composed by such great musicians as Beethoven and Mozart is indeed brilliant, but few people can really appreciate it. .Pop music is popular with all people. We can easily understand pop songs. What's more, anyone can sing pop songs without much difficulty since they require little professional training.3. I think so. At a sports meeting, the music is often fast and cheerful. Quite a few students prefer to listen to a Walkman or a Discman while they are doing their homework. On the other hand, many demand absolute silence before they can concentrate on their academic work.4. I like to sing at a karaoke bar to relax. First of all, I can sing whatever I like to the accompaniment [əˈkʌmpəni:mənt] of the music from the TV. And then, after singing loudlyor even screaming for a while, I often feel relaxed and forget my worries.Unit 21.Personally I prefer watching a DVD at home. In this way I feel more relaxed. I don't have tosit on a chair. Instead, I can lie on a sofa. I can drink tea or coffee while watching the movie. I can also press the PAUSE button, go to the kitchen or toilet, and then come back to continue the movie. More importantly, if I don't understand a section of the movie, I can replay it.Obviously, the advantages of viewing at home outweigh the advantages of viewing it at a theater.2.Different people have different choices, each with their own reasons. Generally, older peopleprefer old, classic movies, while young people choose contemporary movies, though we can find many exceptions to that pattern. When old people see classic movies, their memories of the past will be activated. I prefer movies on contemporary themes. First of all, the technology has improved, and therefore we can enjoy better scenes. Second, the directors, actors and actresses have all improved their skills. Third, contemporary movies are often closer to our daily lives, and after seeing them, we can understand our society better. In other words, new movies have better educational value.3.I like foreign movies It can take my mind off to a distant land. The outlandish setting oftenexcites me, and the different values tend to give me much food for thought. However, my lack of background information often requires me to make too many inferences, and sometimes I cannot understand certain parts of the movie. By comparison, I feel more at home with Chinese movies.4.I want to see the movie first. A movie is meant chiefly to entertain, If one reads the book first, one will know the outcome of the movie in advance. With hardly any suspense, the movie will lose much of its appeal in spite of its colorful scenes. On the other hand, if we see the movie first, we can still appreciate the corresponding book. The book is usually longer than the adapted movie, and therefore you can still find a lot of new stuff. What's more, while readinga book, you can stop from time to time to think about the deeper meaning. So you see, afterseeing the movie, you can still enjoy the book.Unit 31.Generally speaking, marriages based on love are more successful than arranged marriages. Asfor marriages based on love, they are not without problems. In the contemporary world, arranged marriages have almost disappeared. Boys and girls go out on dates and gradually develop a love between them before they get married. Strangely, the divorce rate has kept rising. And the reasons for divorce are that they can’t communicate with each other very well or just they've gotten bored with him or her. In spite of the drawbacks of marriages based on love and the occasional successes of arranged marriages, it is obvious to all that the former are more in conformity with human nature. The traditional practice of arranged marriages should not be restored.2.I think a girl should not marry someone who is too old or too young for her. With a wide agegap, a couple may be physically incompatible, and their ways of thinking may differ largely from each other. Cases of a middle-aged woman marrying a much younger man seem to be rare. Generally, we would do well to follow nature, and a girl should select her spouse from among people close to her own age. This will prevent many unnecessary difficulties.3.In the past, It was natural for men to pay. Things have changed. It is natural that some girls nolonger want men to pick up the check. Instead, they prefer to share or "go Dutch" to show that they are equal to males.4.Many Chinese believe that marriage is a major event in life, and they choose to spend a lot ofmoney to celebrate it. Usually, the couple invites a large number of guests. The bride and the groom toast each other and the guests cheer. In the past the food was the main part of the wedding ceremony and some hungry guests made pigs of themselves. But with economic development, food is no longer so important. Now the parents of the couple may give speeches to express thanks to each other for bringing up such a nice young man or girl. Also, they wish the couple will love each other for life. The groom and the bride may also thank their parents. After the feast, guests may visit the couple's new apartment, where they tend to make a lot of noise to increase the jubilant atmosphereUnit 41.If we ban all the ads, this seems fair to all manufacturers(制造商). But consumers will nothave enough information about products to make a choice. Worse still, they may not even know a new product has been turned out, let alone buy it. Perhaps we had better accept ads, but we can impose restrictions(限制)on them to protect consumers' interests. For example, an ad should not include an untruthful statement or exaggeration. Also, advertisers should not claim that their products are superior to others. Restrictions like these may partly compensate for the shortcomings of advertisements.2.Ads provide valuable information on the function, quality and price of a product. But weshould be ware of ads that do not tell the truth. Comparing ads for similar products, we may become better informed and judge them more accurately. In addition to advertisements, we can depend on other consumers for information. A consumer has no personal interest in a product and therefore is likely to be more objective than the advertiser. Finally, our common sense is also very important. To summarize总结, we can turn to various sources for help before we decide on an advertised product.3.Advertisements have negative social effects as well as economic effects. First, the posters andbillboards can block scenic views and ruin the environment. Second, people who cannot afford the advertised product may develop a sense of inferiority. Third, as often as not, ads encourage unnecessary buying. Fourth, ads usually portray young and beautiful people. Thusolder, plain-looking people may feel as if they do not belong to the contemporary world.4.I do not think it is a good idea to imitate a movie star's clothes. Students should focus on theirstudies. In the case of students from disadvantaged families, they have no reason to add to the financial burden on their parents. A fashionable dress costs too much for their parents. If a student has done his work well and has plenty of money, then I have no objection to his wearing a film star's fashionable clothes. Wearing such clothes, some people may feel content and then concentrate on more useful pursuits.Unit 51.Some feel lonely and need company. Other people keep pets for security. Still others buy petsjust to be in fashion. Finally, some people keep animals at home just out of love or pity. Their hearts are full of love, which pours out naturally for animals as well as humans.2.Dogs are more loyal to their owners than cats are. Also, dogs are more intelligent than cats. They can carry out human instructions and perform fairly complicated functions. Moreover, with its strength and agility, the dog is capable of protecting the house and its master. However, I wouldn't go as far as to claim that cats are worthless. Their soft fur, meek tempers and cute faces are very lovely.3.If a pet like a cat is kept in the apartment without much chance of going out, it looks sad andinactive. Without proper physical exercise and enough exposure to the sun, it tends to become weak. But in a human household pets are normally well fed. I should like to point out that a pet's intelligence is also an important factor. A dog or a cat may be intelligent enough to feel lonely.4.In my opinion, it is all right for us to eat meat such as pork, beef and chicken. When we die,our bodies become the grass. And the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life. In the case of dog meat, people's opinions seem to vary. I think with the progress of human civilization and improvement of the living standards, we should discard the habit of eating dogs, since they are so intelligent and so loyal to us.Unit 61.Some people believe that good girls should never wear a miniskirt because it is too revealing. However there are girls who prefer to break with tradition, play a new, independent role in society, and therefore they choose to wear something daring and rebellious such as a miniskirt. As for me, I'm in favor of the former point of view and don't like those who wear a miniskirt.2.As far as I'm concerned, I would feel confident in a new dress. This has something to do withmy childhood experiences.3.Obviously fashion shows have been around for a long time in various parts of the world. Thisfact shows that they are an indispensable part of the modern culture. However, I'd like to point out that the pursuit of fashion should not take up the greater part of our lives. After all, work and study are far more important than fashion shows.4.Some people do treat me differently according to what I'm wearing. They are often calledsnobs. Fortunately, those people do not represent the majority. Most people judge you by your ability, intelligence and moral integrity rather than by the clothes you're wearing.Unit 71.I may feel differently in different circumstances. If a close friend or relative of mine happensto be in trouble, I will be only too glad to lend a helping hand. However, if it is not an emergency, I will hesitate about lending my hard-earned money. I may make a excuse andadvise him to save up for things he wishes for. If a stranger claims to be in real trouble and wants to borrow money from me, I will first find out if they are really in a jam. If that is the case, I may lend some money to help tide them over the emergency.2.If I could get a big windfall of one billion dollars, I would use it in a sensible way. Certainly Iwouldn't spend it like water. First, I would buy an apartment to ensure that I have a comfortable home. I would also put a small portion of the money in the bank for a rainy day. However, I would prefer to spend the greater part of the one billion dollars in some meaningful projects. I may contribute to an educational foundation in support of the Hope Project. I am also interested in financing significant projects like a pipeline to carry natural gas from west China to east coast cities and diverting the Yangtze River water to north China.3.To achieve success in business, one should acquire a good education as a first step. However, not everyone who graduates from a privileged university can always thrive in business. One also needs a high IQ and a high EQ (emotional quotient). With high intelligence, one can easily understand a new situation and find opportunities. With a high EQ, one tends to get along well with people. Popularity may give people golden chances. However, many clever people with good interpersonal communication skills remain poor. Obviously, good luck is indispensable.4.We are not usually rich, they may choose price over quality and brand name. If shoddy or fakegoods can last for a few years, they may be all right with some students, who can throw them away upon graduation. After graduation, students work and make money. Then they can afford better quality products that will last a long time and prove to be worth the higher prices in the long run.Unit 81.Different cultures often require different approaches. In Western schools, especially inAmerica, students often like to deal with bullying by them selves. As children, they may not want to talk it over with a teacher if they are bullied, for they do not like to be considered a tattletale or a chicken. In Asian countries, it is not surprising that when a pupil is bullied by a big guy, he may consider the class as a collective to depend on and thus tell the teacher in charge of the class all about it.2.First, lock doors and windows before going to bed. Many people are beginning to use irondoors and steel bars outside their windows; some people even install an alarm to scare off a possible burglar. If the whole family goes on vacation, you should arrange for someone to pick up mails and newspapers delivered to your door.3.I don't think the death penalty can prevent crime altogether. Capital punishment has beenaround for thousands of years, but crime has never been stopped. Others may weigh the material benefits against the risks involved, and thus decide to go ahead in spite of the risks. If potential criminals know a certain crime will cost them their heads, some of them may stop, but some others may commit more serious crimes to avoid getting caught. Thus, the security situation could get worse.4.Many factors such as poverty, the gap between the rich and the poor, lack of education, emotional outbreaks and loose law enforcement can let people commit crimes.Unit 91.When two cyclists bump into each other, they may have a bad fall off their bikes. Then theymay point their index fingers at each other, yelling, "You bastard, don't you know how to ridea bike?" or "You should be more careful in the future; you might be hit by a car." Some otherpeople may accuse or curse at each other. Sometimes they may threaten each other with fists, but often they can easily be parted by the watching crowd, uttering something like "Let's wait and see" before they leave. Some people may give priority to their "face" or personal dignity.2.It is necessary to wear seatbelts, especially when we are driving fast on the highway. When acar suddenly stops, the driver without a belt will be thrown forward. If the car has been driving at a high speed, the driver may be thrown through the windshield, killing himself. When a vehicle is driving at a slow speed, it is also wise to wear seatbelts. I think wearing seatbelts is essential when the vehicle is moving at a fast speed.3.Driving too fast, one may not react quickly enough to avoid an accident. Also, when yousuddenly accelerate beyond the speed limit, others may not expect it. You are then inviting trouble.4.This is significant not only to you, but also to your family and the public in general. we shouldwarn our friends and relatives not to drink alcohol before driving. More importantly, the police should constantly watch out for drunk drivers, stop them, measure the alcohol levels in their blood, and punish them according to the law. If all those measures are taken simultaneously, the cases of drunk driving will surely decrease.Unit 101.In complete darkness I may be scared out of my senses. I will try to find out whether there is acandle or flashlight. If there is no candle or flashlight, I can draw open the curtains to let in some light from the street lamps.2.From my point of view, if you are afraid of an examination, you need to be thoroughlyprepared. Then you'll feel confident when you walk into the examination room. In this case, you might shut your eyes and take a long deep breath to calm yourself down. Then you can glance over the exam paper and find those questions that seem relatively easy for you. By answering those simpler questions first, you can gradually build up your confidence. Then, when you deal with the more difficult questions, you are unlikely to break into a cold sweat.3.We should help him to shake off his fear step by step. First of all, we can ask him to go to awindow on the 20th floor and look out of it. Then, we can order him to try looking down for a little while. Gradually the time he looks at the street below will increase. When he becomes bold enough, we can lead him to the balcony. To start with, he is asked just to put one foot onto the balcony, with the other still on the floor inside. Then he can venture out and stand on the balcony for just a second. He is allowed to retreat anytime, before he utters a scream. As time goes by, he will become more and more courageous and stand on the balcony for a long time, just like a normal person.4.If his or her English is not good enough, I will of course ask him or her to memorize a lot ofsentence patterns and useful expressions. With improved language proficiency, he or she may gradually build up his or her confidence. Also we need to encourage the student not to feel ashamed of his or her mistakes in speaking English. He or she should be told that the most important thing is successful communication. So long as you can get your ideas across, it does not matter a great deal if you make a few grammar errors.。
