1 until
与till同义,意为“直到……”,
till多用于口语,until可以放在句首,till则不能放在句首。
until用于否定句中,构成not...until,意为“直到……才” ,表示直到某一时间止某一行为才发生,之前该行为并没有发生。
此时主句的谓语动词往往为瞬间动词。
They worked until late into the night.
Don’t get off the bus until it stops.
I did not go home until my mother called me.
2 beside prep. 意为“在……旁边;在……附近”。

如何将特殊疑问句变为宾语从句
1一般情况下, 特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时只需将原来的疑问词作为引导词并改为陈述语序即可。
Where is the restaurant?
→Could you please tell me where the restaurant is?
2将What’s wrong?/What’s the matter?/What’s the trouble? 等句子改为宾语从句时通常保持原来的语序, 因为what此时本身作主语。
What’s the matter with her?
→Did you know what was the matter with her?
3 当主句的谓语动词是wonder, know, tell, remember, forget等,
且主句主语与从句主语一致时, 可简化为“疑问词+不定式”的结构。
How can I close the window?
→She wonders how she can close the window.
简化:She wonders how to close the window.
4主句谓语动词是tell, ask, show, teach等, 且后带双宾语,
从句主语和间接宾语一致时, 也可简化为“疑问词+不定式”的结构。
What should I say?
→Could you tell me what I should say?
简化:Could you tell me what to say?
5 宾语从句有几个特例
I don’t know if Jeremy will come. (if引导宾语从句,主句为现在时,从句用将来时)
The teacher told us (that) light travels faster than sound. (客观真理,从句一直用现在时)
She isn’s here.
