有关雅思口语考试的Do’s and Dont’s
去年年底第二次参加雅思考试，8.5的口语分数有点出人意料。
高中毕业时在北雅培训完，那时候的雅思口语是7.5分，当时的我对这1.5分的差距（满分9分）一点概念都没有。
现在到北雅从事听力口语的教学，在与同学密切接触互动之余，我感到有必要重新审视下自己的考试经历，以此来帮助更多的同学提高成绩，获得成功。
关键是，这三年多以来我都做了些什么？
看了一年美剧。
阅读了半年英文书刊。
用一个月接待到学校交流的美国学生。
到美国学习一年半。
我记得我刚到美国的时候，就有人问我：“你以前在美国生活过吗？”我说：“为什么这么问呢？”“因为你的口音太美式了。
”
啊哈。
我们都会遭遇自己的“啊哈时刻”（Aha moment），身边的人时不时地点醒我们，让我们意识到之前没有注意的事。
我当时想我估计看太多美剧了，而这绝非有意为之。

孩童在7岁之前拥有熟练掌握任何一种语音的能力，到青少年时期，这种能力逐渐下降，因为母语在脑海中逐渐形成既定印象，对与母语语音格格不入的外来语进行排斥。
想要克服这种退化，就要不断对语言中枢进行刺激，最好的方式无疑是调动其他感官，通过音画结合。
然而刺激的有效性是建立在不断重复的基础上的，因此一部电影或者一集电视看上十来遍完全不足为奇。
我个人就把《生活大爆炸》看得滚瓜烂熟，基本已经到了听一句能接下句的程度。
我比较不推荐看《绯闻女孩》或者《吸血鬼日记》之类的美剧，前者容易让人沉迷于太过戏剧化（over-dramatic）的情节，后者的对白无论是内容还是语境都缺乏实用性。
《老友记》这一类的情景喜剧堪称经典，虽然小部分的俗语可能稍显过时，但是可以用《生活大爆炸》之类的剧集来弥补这一缺陷。
还要提醒一点，网络上流传的美剧通常有双语字幕或中文字幕的。
建议反复看双语字幕的直到无需借助中文字幕。
如果听力和自律都比较好的同学，可以看中文字幕的同时尝试把听到的原文记下来，有时候可能会听到一个不认识的单词，如果能把语音记下来的话，一样能够查到意思，最后跟字幕对照检查——我曾经通过这个方法积累了一定的词汇——主要是我个人觉得别有乐趣……
我觉得如果之前没有跟来自英语国家的人交流的经验的话，口语要考到6.5分以上几乎是天方夜谭。
好在现在很多考生都没有这一层忧虑，因为许多初中高中里都引入了外教课程。
这样的资源应该要好好利用起来，平时多拿外教练习一下自己在美剧里培养起来的语感，顺便可以练胆子。
说完了应该做的，说下不应该的。
口语考试的任何时候，都不要丢掉了自己。
为什么这么说呢？我见到很多同学，非常喜欢把别人的故事生搬硬套到自己头上。
呈现在考官面前的，一会是一个思维简单的初中生，一会是一个阅历丰富的中年人，一会是一个辞藻华丽的英文老师，把考官弄晕对考生并没有任何好处，因为洋人的思维通常都是比较直接比较粗线条的，他只会简单地认为你是借鉴了——至于是间接引用还是恶意抄袭就要看考生具体的语言表达了。
其实有一个并不复杂的方法，可以帮助大家从这种拾人牙慧的窘境中走出来。
每次得到一个自认为很精妙的模板，考生应该结合自己的思考对模板进行一些改良使它能为自己所用。
比如说年初的新题：Describe an occasion that you heard some foreign music. 有的同学决定采用别人准备的classical concert模板。
我不知道如今多少学生对古典音乐真正有兴趣，但是如果假想下是我的话，我应该会说自己一开始并不想去，但是拗不过朋友的邀请，勉强去了，虽然自己对古典音乐一窍不通，没想到挺喜欢这种形式，以后还想买些CD来听听看——这就叫在故事中体现了自我（let yourself come through）——这样比痛苦地背诵一大堆作曲家作品名字还有管弦乐队种种的要轻松多了，其实考官也听得轻松多了，可谓双赢（win-win）。
关于雅思口语的几点注意就先讲到这里。
