Free talk.Do you like holidays?Are you happy in holidays?What ’s your favourite holiday?What do you do in holidays?How’s your summer holiday?Great or OK?’Step 2 Presentation1.Now we are going to listen to a dialogue about holidays. After listening, please answer a question—How was Mark’s summer holiday?2.Next have kids open the books and listen again , then answer the questions—Have you got a plan for the new year? What are you going to do in Year 6? Try to underline the answers on books.3.Then have kids open the books , read the dialogue and then try to finish the exercise ‘Tick True or False’ .4.After that check up the answers together, and help kids understand the sentences. Teacher can choose kids to explain the meaning of those sentences, make sure that every kid understands the meaning.5.Reading exercise. Play the tape-recorder, have kids follow it several times, next read together, then role to read.Step 3: DrillFirst show pictures about the plan for the new school year. Help kids understand the meaning of the phrases. Have kids open the books, try to look and read the phrases.Next Choose some good English learner to make an example with the teacher. Have them answer the question ‘What are you going to do in year 6?’Help kids use the phrases to talk about the plan.Then have kids choose 3-5 phrases to talk about the plan for the new school year in pairs.Step 4: PracticeRead and talk with your friends about your plan for the new school year.
