It’s my great honor to present my lesson here. To make my presentation much clearer, I’ll describe my thoughts in the following 6 aspects: analysis of teaching material, analysis of students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design. Now I am going to present them one by one.

1.说教材Analysis of teaching material :

1)教材的地位与作用

地位: This topic is the first period of unit 4 in book 5 PEP

内容: This text is about .../The content is.../The main idea is...

作用: This is an important lesson in this book. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their society sense. It can help students to attain “four skills”request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.

What can you do

This topic is the first period of unit 4 in book 5 PEP ,the content is close to the students' real life ,let the students learn happily and easily. This course's main idea is cultivating the students' quality of loving labour and protecting environment .

My schoolbag

Today I’m going to talk about Part B of Unit 2, PEP Primary English, Book 3. This lesson includes two parts: Let’s talk and let’s practice. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about “What’

s in the schoolbag?”and the answers. And in section 2, it provides a real situation for the Ss to prastise the pattern: How many +n.(pl.)+ do you have? And the answer: I have 23 +n.(pl.)

What can you do

Based on the new curriculum standard ,the teaching objects are:

Knowledge object is grasping the phrases , sweep the floor ,cook the meals ,clean the bedroom ,water the flowers ,empty the trash .and learning the sentence pattern "what can you do ? I can ....,using it to introduce housework that he can do .

Ability object is fostering students' form the observation competence , thinking ability,and self-study ability .

Emotional object is arousing students' learning interest ,and helping the students form the good habits of paying attention to hygiene and Loving of labour , they can finish the work in team cooperation

What are you doing for vacation?

The teaching aims are established according to Junior School English syllabus' provision and the teaching material. As follows:

Knowledge Object :In this unit students learn to talk about future plans.and learn some key vocabulary: camping, visiting and so on . Use the Present progressive as future in the daily life .

Ability Object :To train the students’ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. and ability of making future plans.

Moral Object:students know the truth "You can’t work efficiently if you don’t have a good rest.""Making a good vacation plan can make your trip happy."

3)教学重点、难点

Based on the objectives, I make the teaching key points and difficult points as follow.

Teaching important points:

a.help the students master the key vocabulary, understand and use the target language , master the usage of the different forms of “be”in the target language.

b.The study of five new words: time, clock, breakfast, lunch, supper.Learn to use three important sentences to communicate with each other, asking and answering questions about the time. Teaching difficult points:

a.help the students use the target language to talk about the future activities.

b.Help the students to pronounce the word "breakfast".How to grasp the use of three sentence structures.

What are you doing for vacation?

According to the teaching material and the students' characteristic , I think the key points are helping the students master the key vocabulary, understand and use the target language , master the usage of the different forms of “be”in the target language.

The difficult points are helping the students use the target language to talk about the future activities

2.说学情Analysis of Students

Students in grade 5 have studied english at least more than two years, and they've had certain skills in english. They are eager to learn, eager to show and their abstract thinking is developing . what's more they are forming the ability to explore english konwledge and skills with some tools such as pictures, radios, dictionaries.

The pupils of grade two are very active, and have curiosity about new knowledge. Besides, they are willing to play games under the teacher’s guidance, but their abstract thinking abilities are still not fully developed. Before this lesson, the students have already learned the number from 1 to 20, and they’re also familiar with time through the daily life, but they are not quite familiar with the five new words.

Students of Junior 1 grade have strong interest in English study, they have a definite English learning motivation and active learning attitude. Besides, they own the ability to complete tasks by cooperating with each other. What's more, their abstract thinking ability is not fully developped, while their image thinking ability is comparatively strong. Their attention can be scattered easily.

3.说教法Teaching method

according to the new curriculum standard and the situation of students, in this class, i will mainly use task-based instruction, and students will work in pairs and in groups to explore the comparatives changing rules, and the relative sentence pattern.

According to the students physical and physiological characteristics,I will adopt task-based language teaching method, TPR method and the situational approach to improve the students enthusiasm,design a variety of activities , make the students learn to play and play to learn .

As we know, it’s the best way for the junior students to learn English mainly by tasks. So with the help of the multi-media and balckboard, I’ll use the task-based teaching approach together with the communicative teaching method ,the situational teaching method , competition method and audio-viual methods.

4.说学法Learning methods

The students can get comprehensive language using skills by autonomic learning, cooperating, exploring, etc.

The learning Methods of this class are Pair work, Group work , Individual work and discussion. With these methods, it can make the class active and stimulate Ss’enthusiasms.

Thirdly ,I will talk about the teaching methods and learning methods

As we all know,the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative”teaching method, “Audio-visual”teaching method and “Task-based”teaching method. That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the target language. I’ll give the Ss some tasks and arrange six kinds of activities: watching CAI, writing some activities, listening, make conversations, listening practice and group activities.(教法)

At the same time,the students will pass “Observation—Imitation—Practice”to study language,study English language by Communication.(学法)

During the teaching process , Multi-media computer, Tape recorder, ppt and school things will be needed. (教具)

5.说教学过程

OK, so much for the teaching methods and learning methods. Now it comes to my most important part, the teaching procedures. I t include the following steps:

Step 1: warm up

I use the VCD to play the content "let's do "in unit 1 of book 4, ss will say and do as the chant, the aim is revising the verbs phrases by listening, speaking, and doing , attracting the ss' attention concentrate to the class .

Step 2 :preview

I use the VCD to play the part "let's chant "in unit 4 book 5 , all students read after the recorder ,then sing it in group ,let the ss get in touch with the sentence pattern "what can you do ? I can ..." ,and enter in the next part naturally .

Step 3:presentation

Using the multimedia to create a real situation, present a dirty and littery classroom ,I will do a individual activity,look at the screen ,ask and answer .I will ask the students "what can you do ?" ss answer the question "I can ..."

Then the ss do pair work activity, play a new chant that is about the housework, two ss cooperate to ask and answer .Thus students can use the language into the actual life .

Group activity,students watch the chant again and discuss in group what they can hear ,they can play the main role in self-study .

Next ,I do actions ,the students look and guess ,after that find out the word card and read for us ,in this way ,ss' initiative and enthusiasm can be mobilized and their self -confidence will be enhanced .

I assign a task ,let the students find out the rule of learning ,form a good habit ,have cooperative ability and consciousness . Students discuss in group how to remember the new words well .

Step 4 practise

Task 1 Play a game:"snowball" divide the whole students into four groups ,accumulate the phrases and hold a competition in class .

Task 2 make a survey .by the mean of investigation , realize the theory of "learning by doing ".students do a survey in groups ,then report the result .

Task 3 make a dialogue in group .I will show a scene in the screen ,students make a

dialogue and act it out .

Step 5 consolidation

At last ,to cultivate the ss' communicative ability in English .I will show the students some word cards and sentence cards ,let them make up a situational dialogue,act the dialogue in role .

Step 6 homework

Report the result to their parents using the sentence pattern and phrases .

2)初中英语教学过程参考样本:

Dealing with trouble

Step 1:lead- in

In this step I will show some pictues on the screen to the Ss and ask them what they will do if they are in those situations, Let them discuss in pairs freely and then ask some Ss answer the question after 3 minutes.

The purpose of showing pictures is that arouse Ss’imagination to deal with the troubles when they see someone are drowning, trapping in fire and being robbed. The Ss will get excited to talk with their partners in English . Therefore, the topic of this lesson is naturally led in by discussing.

Step 2: pre- reading

In this step , I first ask Ss see the title , subtitle and the photos on the book and then let them discuss in groups in order to try to guess the answers of questions in B1 and B2. Next , I ask the Ss to listen to the record to try to grasp the general idea of the passage.

The purpose of this design is to train the speaking and listening abilities of students.This also can be feedback to check other students whether they grasp the general idea of the passage.

Step 3: while- reading

I mainly use task-based method to help the Ss improve their reading skills in this step.

Task1. Scanning for the questions in B2

Finish those questions using scanning strategy. That is to say, you must let your eyes “scan”the text quickly to find details that you are looking for, you can find information quickly without reading the whole text. This activity provides practice in “scanning”. Read out the reading strategy for this unit. Explain it in more details and make sure students understand the difference between “reading for meaning” and “reading for detail”. Let Ss do a race. Encourage them finish these questions as quickly as they can. Ss who do a good job will get a star for his group.

Task2. Read the passage carefully and do true or false exercises on the screen.

The goal of this task is to let Ss get further understanding of the article and check their reading results and the deployment of the reading strategies.

Task3. Find out the new words and phrases. Let them guess from the context. New words: argument/ argue, dial, steal, notice, robbery, detail, railing.

New phrases:hold out, in handcuffs, be afraid of, go on, shout at, stare at, and run away.

This task pushes Ss to improve their ability to guess the words and carry out exploration study.

Task4. Listen to the tape twice and fill out the missing words of the diary on the screen.

Invite some students from different groups to answer the questions. Those whose answers are right will get a star (prize) for their groups.

This task aims to cultivate Ss abilities of memory, observation, imagination, and analysis. So does listening practice.

Step 4: Post-reading

In this step I design 2 activities to help the Ss strengthen what they have read and learnt before.

Activity1. Deal with a trouble---role play

Ask 10 Ss a group and give a play about the event of the diary .

The purpose is that let Ss act and ask questions and learn by themselves. Ss can practice their spoken language, as well. Focus on self-learning.

Activity2.Retell the article according to the photos on the book and some key words.

This activity focus on their speaking ability and organization of material.

Step5: Summary

Ss summarize what we have learnt and key points. Make an assessment on each group. Count all the stars and pick out the best group---Group Know in this class. Emphasize the importance of group work and self-learning.
