告知(informing)是将对方想要了解的事情告诉对方，让对方知道。
告知不同于通知，书面通知多是单位为了部署工作、传达事情常用的文体，以公告或布告形式贴出，把相关事情通知到相应的人或单位，并张贴在显眼的位置。
书面通知有严格的格式规范。
比较而言，通知行文用词都比较官方化、格式化。
告知多是从个人的角度出发，将自己所知道和了解的事情告诉对方。

写作时，语气客观而不失友好，内容真实但可以有自己的观点和看法。
