英语说课应注意的问题

我认为说课首先要展示的是个人的英语口语素质:发音准确、口齿清晰、语言流畅优美、语调正确(即汉语所说的抑扬顿挫)。这是说好课的先决条件,满口说错的单词,掌握不好语流、语速及重音,就无法说一口地道的英语。评委在评分时这是最主要的依据之一。

第二方面要展示的是教学过程设计。所谓的教学过程设计,说白了也就是大家如何上课就如何说。为什么把教学过程设计放在第二位呢?因为评课教师往往会先入为主,你一上台俊男靓女,激情澎湃,热情洋溢,再说一口流利的地道的英语,还有必要再刻意注重你的教学过程的设计吗?我认为评委首先考虑的就是你的个人的英语素质与休养。

第三方面可以展示一下你的书写。板书的时候不要太多,最好是只板书课题就行。如果你的书法是强项,也可以适当多写一点。扬长避短。但写的太多会占去不少的时间。要板书的时候,说到时就板书。

第四点就是语言的运用。不要用生僻的单词,要多用口语化的简单的英语。英语和汉语一样,也有书面语和口头语。能用简单英语的地方就不要说的太难懂,尤其是不要使用你自己都说不准的单词。另外,一定不要用汉语说课,既使你的声音很有磁力,普通话也如播音员。

最后一点就是说课的时间。一般规定是15分钟,我认为7-10最好。因为你一上台亮相,一开口说话,评委基本上给你定好格了。

下面我就以八年级上册Unit 10 I’m going to be a basketball player.为例,来了解教材和具体的说课。

首先大家先来了解Go for it!这套教材的编写体例。这套教材按单元编写,每单元分Section A,Section B和Self-Check三个部分。从八年级下册开始,每单元加了一个Reading。根据教学情况,一般可以分为五个课时进行教学:Period One—Section A:1a-2c,

Period Two—Section A:Grammar focus-4,

Period Three—Section B:1a-2c,

Period Four—Section B:3a-4,

Period Five—Selfcheck.

(Period Six—Reading)

其中第一、三课时为听说课,第二、四课时为读写课,第五课时为复习课,第六课时为阅读课。如果内容较难就每页一课时进行教学。

说课时多数是按页进行的。也就是每单元的第1,2和4页为听说课,第3和第5页为读写课,余下的为复习课和阅读课。而且说课时多选读写课和阅读课。但也要注意例外情况。

以上说的是教材,下面我们来探讨一下如何说课。

首先是问候和介绍。Eg. Good morning/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Nice to meet you here. My number is _______. Today I will say something about___________(加上你要说课的标题并板书). 然后简单介绍一下本课时在本单元的地位。(一两句就可)但一定要注意内容转换时的过渡语。

其次是教学目标的设定。这是老师们在备课时最感头的问题。大家可以参考课本目录。按词汇、句型、功能、语法和学习策略等方面高置,但不要太复杂。2-3个目标即可。

第三是教学重点与难点。

第四是教学过程。这是说课中的大头,实际上就是你上课要采用的步骤与方法而已。说明白你对每个环节所处理的方法就行。在我所写的说课稿中,所采用的都是固定的形式及课堂日常用语。

以下是以人教版新目标八年级第10单元内容为例的说课模板。其中,The first period与The second period为听说课,The third period为读写课,Self check为复习课,

特别提示:如果你是说课的新手,只要将文中划线的部分换成你要说课的内容就可以了,其余的部分就都是套话了,无需变动,照着说就行了。

The first period

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

Nice to meet you here.

My number is _______. Today I will say something about The first period of Section A (1a-1c)in Unit 10. The topic of this unit is I’m going to be a basketball player.(on bb) In this unit the students will learn how to talk about future and intentions. Here is the first period of this unit. According to the contents of this part, I design the following teaching aims of this period:

The first, the students can read and spell these new words: grow, grow up, programmer and so on.

The second, the students can use the following patterns freely: A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B: I’m going to be… A: How are you going to do that? B: I’m going to …

And here is the teaching importance: The students can use What are you going to be… and How are you going to do that? correctly and freely.

The teaching difficulties are the students are able to use “be going to ” to talk about their future.

In this class I’ll use these teaching aids: a tape-recorder, some pictures and a computer.

According to these, I’ll teach this class using the following teaching steps:

Step one: New words and expressions.

How to teach the new words is very important and difficult. We can use many ways to teach them. I will use three steps to do this.

First I’ll get students to try to read them by themselves according to the given sounds. Then check them and ask the students to spell and remember them. At last I’ll give them some exercises about these words.

Step two: presentation.

In this part I’ll show students the picture in the textbook and ask the students to talk about it. Then get the students to read the words and phrases together in the box in 1a, and finish it.

Step three: Listening.

First, read the words and expressions in the box in 1b. and now get the students to listen to the tape twice and finish 1b. Third, check the answers together and ask the students to listen again and repeat loudly. At last get the students to act out the conversation.

Step four: pairwork.

In this step, I’ll get the students to look at the picture above again and read the short conversations in it. And I’ll write them on the blackboard. Now get the student to make their own conversations in pairs.

Step five: consolidation.

In this step, the students will do some exercises to consolidate what they learnt in the lesson.

Step six: sum up.

The last step: homework.

I’ll give students the following homework: first, remember the new words and expressions learned today. Second, make conversations according to the blackboard. Third, preview the next lesson.

The first, the students can read and spell these new words: grow, grow up, programmer and so on.

The second, the students can use the following patterns freely: A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B: I’m going to be… A: How are you going to do that? B: I’m going to … A: Where is Cheng Han going to move? B: He’s going to move to…

In this class I will use some pictures to get the students to revise the words and the patterns of “be going to do sth.”First show them the pictures and get students to talk about them using the words and expressions they learned. Second ask them to make their own conversations with What are you going to be when you grow up? How are you going

to do that? Where is Cheng Han going to move?

Step two: presentation.

This step is used to prepare for listening. First get the students to look at the picture in 2a, I’ll ask them two questions. Then students talk about the picture in pairs.

Step three: Listening.

First, get students to look at the picture in 2a again and listen to the tape once. Second, listen to it again and finish 2a.

Third, look at the box in 2a and listen to the tape the third time, finish 2b.

Fourth, listen again and repeat it sentence by sentence.

Finally, get students to ask and answer in pairs about the conversation.

Step four: pairwork.

In this step, I’ll get the students to look at the picture above again and read the short conversation. And I’ll write them on the blackboard. Now get the student to make their own conversations in pairs with What, where, how, when and be going to.

Step five: grammar focus.

This step the students should master some grammar rules. But we must get the students to conclude the rules by them selves by some practice. First of all, I’ll ask them to read through all this part. Then I give them some exercises to do. In the end, the students give the conclusion.

Step six: consolidation.

In this step, the students will do some exercises to consolidate what they learnt in the lesson.

The last step: homework.

I’ll give students the following homework: first, remember the new words and expressions learned today. Second, make conversations according to the blackboard. Third, preview the next lesson.

This period is mainly about how to read. According to the contents of this part, I design the following teaching aims of this period:

The first, the students can read and spell these new words: grow, grow up, programmer and so on.

The second, the students can read and understand the diary.

The third, the students are able to write a diary or a short passage.

And here is the teaching importance: The students can understand the short passage and can ask and answer about it.

The teaching difficulties are the students are able to use “be going to ” to talk about their future.

In this class I’ll use these teaching aids: a tape-recorder, some pictures and a computer.

According to these, I’ll teach this class using the following teaching steps:

Step one: revision.

This step is used for consolidating what the students learned last class. In this class I will use some pictures on the screen to get the students to revise the words and the patterns of “be going to do sth.” First show them the pictures and get students to talk about them using the words and expressions they learned. Second ask them to make their own conversations with What are you going to be when you grow up? How are you going to do that? Where is Cheng Han going to move?

Step two: New words and expressions.

How to teach the new words is very important and difficult. We can use many ways to teach them. I will use three steps to do this.

Then get the students to read it more carefully and underline the things that she is going to do(课本内容要求). Third, the students read the passage loudly and find out some main points(板书文中的知识点). At last get the students to try to retell it with the given key words.

Step five: pairwork.

In this step, the students will finish 3b and read the short conversations in it. Then get the student to make their own conversations in pairs.

Step six: groupwork

In this step, the students will finish the chart and then do it in groups. After doing this I will tell the students to write a short report and ask some of them to read theirs before class.

Step seven: consolidation

In this step, the students will do some exercises to consolidate what they learnt in the lesson.

The last step: homework.

I’ll give students the following homework: first, remember the new words and expressions learned today. Second, make conversations according to the blackboard. Third, preview the next lesson.

Ask some pair to act out their conversation before.

In the end, give them some exercises about patterns.
