当初升的朝霞绽放着耀眼的灿烂，清爽的晨风摇曳着曼妙的舞姿，当勤劳的人们又开始一天的奔波忙碌时，在古老的大运河与繁忙的京津公路东岸，在邮政大楼和“天房四季”小区（原天津师大杨村校区）的身边，有一所书声朗朗、生机盎然的学校，这就是天津市武清区杨村第四小学。
一、办学性质天津市武清区杨村第四小学是武清区一所全日制国办小学，也是全区第一所国办小学。
学校位于武清区雍阳东道5号，占地面积16859平方米，建筑面积6567平方米。
设有六个年级，26个教学班，在校学生1300人。
另设一个附属幼儿园，在校幼儿102人。
多年来，学校坚定实施素质教育，积极推进课程改革，在稳定中求发展，在进取中求创新，已实现义务教育现代化。
近五年来，学校不断强化校园管理，坚持以德育为先，教学发展为本，以体卫艺特长发展为特色，在发展中已取得一些喜人的成绩。
二、基本情况杨村第四小学是一所历史悠久的百年老校。
始建于1912年，学校的前身是中华民国元年（1912）杨村乡绅民众创立的三义庙学堂。
民国二年（1913），按照直隶省政府“学堂改学校”的通令，杨村三义庙学堂改称为三义庙学校。
新中国成立后， 1955年改为“河北杨师附属小学”，1960年附设初中班，1961年改为“天津市十年制实验学校”，文革中改名“东方红战校”，1968年中小学分家，正式定名为“杨村第四小学”，沿袭至今。
其间，1987年改为教育局直属国办小学。
过去的杨村第四小学，规模不大，面积较小，教职工、学生人数不多，几间民房一字排开围成了一个小四合院，教学设施简陋，教学环境较差。
承各级领导悉心关怀，蒙几代贤达栉风沐雨，经数届师生发愤图强，而今的杨村第四小学已经焕然一新。
学校硬件设施齐全，达到天津市现代化建设标准。
装有信息技术教室、图书阅览室、美术教室、音乐教室、书法教室、科学实验室。
学校拥有多媒体设备24套，计算机165台，能满足信息技术与学科教学整合的要求，学校图书室藏书44000余册，能满足学生的多方面阅读需求。

校徽中间的图案为字母“F”，是英文单词“First”的第一个字母，象征着开发区一中争创第一的精神，背景颜色为蓝色和绿色，象征广阔与希望，寓含着在开发区这片沃土上开创美好未来。
