关于青年志愿者服务的英语作文高中

关于青年志愿者服务的英语作文高中全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Big Sister the VolunteerMy big sister Polly is the best! She's in high school now and is involved in all sorts of awesome activities. But my favorite thing she does is volunteer work. Polly volunteers a few times a month and I always beg my mom to let me tag along so I can see what she does. It's just so cool!Polly's main volunteering gig is at the local animal shelter. She told me that when she was little like me, she went through a phase where she desperately wanted a puppy. Our parents said no since our apartment was too small. But Polly never lost her love for cute furry critters. At the shelter, she helps take care of the cats and dogs while they await their forever homes. I've gotten to see her scoop out litterboxes, give baths, brush fur, and best of all - play with the animals! The dogs always go crazy wanting cuddles and tummy rubs from Polly. She's just a total natural with critters. On Saturdays, she also volunteers for a program called "Tales for Tails" where kids like me can come read books to the shelter animals. Polly says it helps socialize and calm the animals while also letting children practice their reading skills in a fun, judgement-free environment. I've gone a few times and it's amazing how the dogs and cats will just sit and listen so intently as you read aloud. I like to do funny voices for different characters which makes them perk up their ears. It's adorable! But that's not all Polly does. One week per summer, she signs up for something called an "Alternate Break" through her high school. Basically, instead of going to the beach like some of her friends, she travels with a group to volunteer in another town or city somewhere in our state.Last year, they went to a small rural area to help build houses for low-income families. Polly said it was really hard work - hauling lumber, digging holes, hammering nails, and getting sweaty under the hot sun. But she loved knowing that by the end of the week, a couple more families would have simple but safe homes to live in. She made some great new friends on that trip too.The year before that, Polly's group went to a city and volunteered with an organization that provides free meals andother services to the homeless community. Every morning, she helped prepare hundreds of bag lunches with sandwiches, fruit, chips, and a bottle of water. Then they'd load up trucks and drive around distributing the lunches to outdoor spots where homeless folks tend to congregate. In the afternoons, Polly worked in a kitchen making big pots of hot soup, stew, and chili to serve for dinner at the organization's building. She said it was exhausting but rewarding work.I remember Polly telling me that serving food to those in need was very humbling. She met some people who had fallen on hard times due to job loss, medical issues, or other difficulties. But they were all so grateful and humble when receiving a simple meal. It made Polly re-think how privileged our own family is to always have food on the table and a roof over our heads. She realized that showing kindness to struggling strangers is so important. What inspires me most about Polly's volunteering, though, is how she does it without expecting anything in return. She's not getting paid and doesn't need to list it on college applications anymore since she's already been accepted to her dream school next year. Polly just simply enjoys helping out wherever and however she can.She says volunteering makes her feel good about herself and reminds her how blessed she is. Polly wants to use the advantages she's been given in life - like a good education, a loving family, and financial security - to assist those in need instead of taking those privileges for granted.I think that's such a mature outlook for a high school senior! I'll admit that when I'm Polly's age, I'll probably be more focused on things like getting my driver's license, going to prom, and picking a college major. But seeing Polly's example is teaching me from an early age that we should all try to make the world a little bit better in our own humble way.Maybe that means spending a Saturday helping rescue dogs find homes instead of playing video games all day. Or using my birthday money next year to buy supplies for underprivileged kids rather than blowing it all on myself. Or one day when I'm older, taking a vacation solely to volunteer and travel to places that need help rebuilding after natural disasters. The options are endless once you start looking for them!I know I'm still just a little kid with a lot of growing up to do. But I really look up to Polly and hope to be as generous with my time and talents as she is now. Who knows, maybe I'll become a big fan of volunteering too as I get older! For now though, I'mjust proud of my sister for being such an rockstar at serving her community. Polly is proof that young people have the power to create positive change in this world. I can't wait until I'm old enough to be as awesome of a volunteer as she is!篇2Being a Youth Volunteer is Awesome!Hi there! My name is Timmy and I'm in 8th grade. Today I want to tell you all about my experiences as a youth volunteer. It's been so much fun and I've learned a ton of cool stuff too!I first started volunteering a couple years ago when my mom signed me up to help out at our local animal shelter. I love animals, especially dogs, so I was really excited. At the shelter, I got to go into the dog kennels and play with the pups, give them treats, and take them out for walks. Seeing their happy, wagging tails whenever I came around made me feel great. The shelter workers said the dog interaction really helped the animals stay calmer and more adoptable. I was proud to be helping out in a small way. After that, I caught the volunteering bug! I started looking around for other opportunities in my community. Our school has a volunteering club that goes out and does different serviceprojects. One time we spent a Saturday morning picking up litter at a park near my house. It was hard work, but we had a team of probably 20 kids working together. By the end, the whole park looked clean and beautiful again. The local conservation group that organized it bought us all pizza afterwards as a thank you, which was awesome!Another cool volunteering experience I had was helping out at a food bank/soup kitchen downtown. My job was putting together bagged lunches with a sandwich, fruit, veggies, and a granola bar to hand out. It was an assembly line with a bunch of other kids volunteering. As the bagged lunches got made, volunteers would load them into bins that were then distributed to people in need around the city. We made thousands of lunches in just a few hours because everyone worked together so efficiently. Knowing that my small act of making some sandwiches could help fight hunger felt really meaningful. One of my favorite volunteering gigs though has been tutoring younger kids at my town's community center. I really enjoyed helping the 1st and 2nd graders practice their reading and math skills after school. The little kids were so excited to have a "cool middle schooler" helping them out. I'd read them stories, play educational games, and give them encouragementwhen they struggled. Seeing their confidence grow was amazing. One boy told me he didn't like reading at first because it was too hard, but by the end of the year he said reading was his favorite subject! Making a positive impact like that is so rewarding. There are tons of other ways to volunteer too that I haven't gotten to try yet. You can assist at hospitals or nursing homes by visiting with patients. Parks and nature centers often need help with trail maintenance or tree planting. Shelters need volunteers to organize donations of clothes and household goods. Libraries might want help re-shelving books or running kid's programs. The possibilities are endless!Volunteering is hands-down one of the best experiences I've had so far as a middle schooler. It gets me out into my community helping people and pets in need. I've made friends with other kids who like volunteering as much as I do. We have a ton of fun together while doing good deeds. Volunteering has also helped me figure out potential career interests - maybe I'll be a veterinarian, teacher, or work at a non-profit someday. The skills I've picked up through volunteering have been super valuable too. I've become a better public speaker from reading aloud to little kids. My communication abilities have grown from talking to all types of people. I've learned to work aspart of a team and developed more patience. Volunteering has also made me appreciate all that I have and how fortunate I am compared to others facing challenges. It's opened my eyes to important issues in our society like poverty, homelessness, and animal welfare.I truly believe that volunteering has made me a kinder, harder working, and more responsible person overall. It feels wonderful to freely give your time and energy to worthy causes. Seeing the gratitude and joy from people you've helped is the best feeling in the world. I may be just a kid, but I know that I'm making a positive difference. If you're a student who hasn't tried volunteering yet, I highly recommend you give it a shot! Check out volunteering websites to find opportunities near you. Or reach out to your school, church, local library or park district to ask how you can get involved. You don't have to volunteer a huge amount of time - every little bit of service helps. Join me in being one of the awesome youth volunteers out there making our world a little bit better!篇3My Experience as a Youth VolunteerHi there! My name is Emma and I'm a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School. Over the past couple of years, I've had some really cool opportunities to do volunteer work in my community. I wanted to share my experiences because volunteering has been super awesome and rewarding. It's also taught me a bunch of important life lessons that I think will help me a lot as I get older. It all started when I was in 5th grade. My mom is part of this local community group that organizes different service projects and events throughout the year. One day, she asked me if I wanted to help out with their big Thanksgiving food drive. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I thought it could be kind of fun to check it out.The food drive was held at our community center over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Families could drop off canned goods and non-perishable food items that would then get donated to the local food pantry. My job was really simple - I just had to stand by the collection bins, greet people as they arrived, and help them unload the food from their cars.At first, I kind of felt a little awkward about the whole thing. But after a little while, I started to realize how nice everyone was being and how generous they were with their donations. Peopleseemed genuinely grateful that I was there to help out. By the end of that first volunteer shift, I felt really good about myself for helping out with such an important cause. After that, I decided to keep volunteering whenever I could. I helped out at more food drives around the holidays and assisted with fundraising events for different charities. One of my favorite events was a charity walk to raise money for cancer research. Seeing all the people come together to participate was just so inspiring. Their dedication really motivated me to want to do more.Volunteering has given me the chance to gain all sorts of new skills too. For example, I've learned how to use spreadsheet software to track donations and volunteer hours. I've also gotten better at public speaking and communicating clearly when giving instructions to people. Those are abilities that I know will be really useful later on.But by far, the most valuable skill I've developed is understanding what it means to serve others. Through volunteering, I've met so many people from different backgrounds who are going through difficult challenges in life. Whether it's struggling with poverty, dealing with health issues, or any other hardship, it's been truly humbling to be reminded ofhow fortunate I am. Volunteering has made me appreciate the simple things I used to take for granted, like having a warm home and enough food on the table.More importantly though, volunteering has shown me the incredible impact that even small acts of kindness and generosity can have. I'll never forget this one time when we were serving meals at a local homeless shelter around Christmas. As I was handing out hot plates of food, one older man looked me square in the eyes, grabbed my hand, and sincerely thanked me for being there. In that moment, I realized that what I was doing truly mattered. It was such a simple act of service, but it brightened that man's day during a really difficult time of his life.Experiences like that have inspired me to want to keep giving back for the rest of my life. Volunteering makes me feel like I'm part of something bigger than myself. It connects me to my community in a very special way. Even though I'm still really young, I can already start making a positive difference in the world around me.Of course, volunteering isn't all just warm and fuzzy feelings. It can also be hard work sometimes! I've helped clean up parks and beaches where there was just tons of litter everywhere. On a few occasions, we've had to go out in not-so-great weather todo outdoor service projects. There's also a level of commitment required because people are counting on you to be there and follow through. But at the end of the day, the rewards of volunteering far outweigh any small inconveniences or hassles. Every time I volunteer, I learn something new about myself and grow as a person. I've become more caring, patient, and understanding of others. It's given me more confidence to try new things, take on challenges, and step outside my comfort zone. Most importantly though, volunteering gives me a profound sense of purpose. I'm using my time and energy to help create positive change, even if it's in a small way.As I look ahead to my future, I can't imagine a life without volunteering being a part of it in some capacity. It's a value that I'll carry with me forever thanks to the incredible impact it's already had on me at such a young age. For any of you who haven't tried volunteering yet, I really encourage you to go for it! Do some research to find local opportunities that fit your interests and availability. I promise, you won't regret it.At the end of the day, we're all part of the same human community on this planet. We all have a responsibility to look out for one another as best we can. Volunteering is a simple yetpowerful way to fulfill that responsibility while also developing yourself as a person. It's a total win-win! So what are you waiting for? There are tons of great organizations and causes out there that could use an extra set of helping hands. Your positive actions, no matter how small, really can change the world.。

关于青年志愿者服务的英语作文高中

关于青年志愿者服务的英语作文高中Youth Volunteers: Making a DifferenceHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about youth volunteers and why they are so awesome! You might be wondering - what exactly is a youth volunteer? Well, a youth volunteer is a young person who chooses to spend their free time helping others instead of just playing video games or watching TV. They volunteer their time and energy to make their community and the world a better place. There are youth volunteers of all ages - from little kids like me all the way up to teenagers. And you know what? We might be young, but we can do some really cool and important things as volunteers! One great way kids my age can volunteer is by participating in park/beach clean-ups. It's so much fun to get outside, run around, and pick up litter to keep our parks and beaches beautiful. My friends and I try to do this a few times a year and we always have a blast while doing something good for the environment.Older youth volunteers can do even more! I know a group of high school students who volunteer weekly at a food bank, sorting and packing up groceries to distribute to families in need. They say it's really hard work but they feel proud to help put food on people's tables.Another option for youth volunteering is tutoring and mentoring younger kids. There are programs where middle schoolers and high schoolers can go to elementary schools and help younger students who are struggling with subjects like reading and math. I actually had a teen tutor when I was in 2nd grade and he was so patient and helped me a lot!Youth volunteers also have opportunities to travel and help out in other communities and even countries. I have a friend whose older sister went on a volunteer trip to Central America one summer to help build houses for low-income families. Can you imagine - spending your summer vacation hammering nails and putting up walls? That's some serious hard work but she said it was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.Of course, volunteering isn't just about the work you do - it's about who you meet and the experiences you have. Through volunteering, you can make new friends, learn about different cultures and backgrounds, develop new skills, and gainconfidence. And the best part is getting that amazing feeling of making a positive impact, no matter how big or small.Adults are always saying things like "young people are the future" and "kids these days are so selfish and lazy." But us youth volunteers help prove them wrong! We show that kids and teens today do care about important causes and are willing to take action to create change. By volunteering our time and effort, we send a powerful message of compassion and social responsibility.I may only be 10 years old, but I already know the importance of being a youth volunteer. It teaches you to look outside of your own little world and think about others. It makes you appreciate what you have and motivates you to share your talents and blessings with those who are less fortunate. Most importantly, volunteering shows that kids like me can make a real and meaningful difference in our communities and the world. So what are you waiting for? Find a cause you care about and get out there! Pick up trash, pack up groceries, build houses, tutor little kids - the possibilities are endless for how we youth volunteers can lend a hand. Let's continue to prove that young people have the power to create positive change. Every effortcounts, no matter how big or small. We may be young, but our actions can shake up the world!。

Each nation has many good people who help to take care of others. These people we call
them volunteers.
On the Labor Day, a lot of volunteers got together to go to 眼光. During the day , they
planted trees with the olds , talked with the olds and listened to their problems.
The young volunteers companied the old men a whole day. Because of this, smiles appeared
on their faces. The old men became more talkative than before.
Through this activity, volunteers give the old men love .Furthermore, it makes the old men
know that they are not ignored by society and people around them. The most significant is that
volunteers spread love all over the world. volunteers not only teach everyone what love is all
about with their actions, but tells everyone by what they do that showing filial respect to all the
