Bently Nevada 3500

Bently Nevada 3500

Description3500 Internal Barriers are intrinsically safe interfaces thatprovide explosion protection for transducer systemsconnected directly to the 3500 Machinery Protection System. The internal barriers are fully compatible with the 3500 Systemand provide a convenient and cost-effective solution forinstalling all types of transducer systems within a hazardousarea.Unlike external barriers, 3500 Internal Barriers are an integral part of the3500 System and will not degrade the system's performance. We offer Bently Nevada transducer systems withcomprehensive approvals for hazardous area installations. Thetransducer systems are matched to those of the 3500 InternalBarriers. See "Compatible Monitors & Transducers" on page 6.Each component complies both individually and as part of asystem with the safety requirements of North American andinternational standards. H ence, you don't have to referenceindividual certificates to verify the compatibility betweencomponents.Standard and internal barrier monitors can reside within thesame 3500 rack. You can upgrade standard monitors b yreplacing existing I/O modules with those that contain internalbarriers.3500/04Internal BarriersDatasheetBently Nevada Machinery Condition MonitoringInstallation GuidelinesThe internal barriers for a 3500 rack are incorporated in special Monitor I/O Modules. These barriers provide explosion protection for transducer systems that are connected to the 3500 system. A n intrinsically safe (IS) earthing module provides the IS earth connection through the 3500 system backplane. The IS Earth Module requires a dedicated I/O module position and precludes the use of this monitor position for other 3500 System modules. T his limits a standard 19-inch rack to 13 monitor positions. F urthermore, a number of installation options are not available when internal barriers are installed in a 3500 rack.New Rack InstallationsThe same rack can contain both internal barrier and standard I/O module types without compromising the separation between hazardous and safe area field wiring. The External Termination option is not available for I/O modules with internal barriers because hazardous area approvals do not allow the useof intrinsically safe wiring within a multi-cored cable assembly.Monitors that contain Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) rack options cannot use internal barrierI/O modules since connecting a transducer to multiple I/O module inputs will compromisethe integrity of the IS system.A rack that contains any internal barrier module must have a 3500/04-01 IS Earthing Module to provide the Barrier Module IS earth connection.I/O Module PositioningInternal barrier I/O modules have an increased depth over that of standard barrier I/O modules. Consider the rack position with respect to adjacent modules to ensure that you can easily access the I/O modules during maintenance. Internal barrier I/O and IS Earthing modules can occupy any general-purpose rack position and can be adjacent to standard I/O module types without compromising the 50 mm (2 in) physical separation requirement between safe and hazardous area field wiring.Follow these guidelines when positioning I/O modules:l Group all internal barrier I/O modules in adjacent rack positions to simplify theinstallation.l Place the IS Earthing Module in a rack position that provides easy access forroutine online maintenance.l Consider the IS Earthing Module'spositioning relative to adjacent internalbarrier I/O modules and cabinetbulkheads. If you plan to install standard I/O modules or the IS Earthing Module between a pair of internal barrier I/O m odules, allow a minimum of two rack positions so that you can easily access the standard I/O or IS Earthing Module online without disturbing the adjacent I/O modules.Upgrading a 3500 RackTo upgrade a 3500 rack with standard I/O modules to a rack containing one or more internal barrier I/O modules, replace the standard I/O modules with the appropriate internal barrier modules. You can order theIS Earthing Module separately. See "Ordering Information" on page 6. for more information. The IS Earthing Module must be installed in adedicated monitor position.Revision 2.3 or later of 3500 Rack Configuration software is required to enable the use of internal barriers with the following monitor types:l3500/25l3500/40l3500/42l3500/50l3500/60l3500/61l3500/62l3500/70l3500/72The following firmware revisions are required:No firmware revisions are required for the following monitors:l3500/40Ml3500/42Ml3500/70Ml3500/72M Cabinet and Panel InstallationsThe internal barrier I/O modules add approximately 50 mm (2 in) to the depth of the rack to provide the 50 mm (2 in) physical separation between safe and hazardous area field wiring. H ence, a standard rack with internal barrier modules will not fit into a 400 mm cabinet. The bulkhead rack version is available for installations that require this cabinet type. A standard rack with internal barrier modules will fit comfortably in a 600 mm cabinet and the 3500/06 Weatherproof Housing. We recommend the following installation guidelines for the internal barriers within a cabinet or panel:l The positioning of the hazardous and safe area connectors dictates installationsroute the hazardous area field wiringabove the 3500 rack and safe area wiringbelow the 3500 Rack.l Installations should carefully route the safe area wiring from the bulkheadversion along the top of the 3500 rack tomaintain the 50 mm (2 in) separationbetween safe and hazardous area wiring. When multiple racks are installed within the same cabinet, hazardous area and safe area wiring can share the same cable trays as long as a separator is physically insulating the wires from one another.Specifications Physical Information Internal Barrier I/O ModuleDimensions (Height x Width x Depth)241.3 mm x 24.4 mm x 163.1 mm(9.50 in. x 0.96 in. x 6.42 in.)Weight0.46 kg (1.01 lb) Internal Barrier Earthing ModuleDimensions (Height x Width x Depth)241 mm x 24.4 mm x 103.1 mm(9.50 in. x 0.96 in. x 4.06 in.)Weight0.201 kg (0.443 lb.) 3500 62进程变量监控器说明书

DescriptionThe 3500/62 Process Variable Monitor is a 6-channel monitorfor processing machine critical parameters that meritcontinuous monitoring, such as pressures, flows, temperatures, and levels. The monitor accepts +4 to +20 mAcurrent inputs or any proportional voltage inputs between -10Vdc and +10 Vdc. It conditions these signals and comparesthe conditioned signals to user-programmable alarmsetpoints. The 3500/62 monitor:l Continuously compares monitored parametersagainst configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms formachinery protection.l Provides essential machine information for bothoperations and maintenance personnel. You can program the 3500/62 using the 3500 RackConfiguration Software to perform either current or voltagemeasurements. The 3500/62 offers I/O modules for threesignal input scenarios: +/-10 Volts DC, isolated 4-20 mA, or 4-20 mA with Intrinsically Safe zener barriers. The Internal BarrierI/O provides external power input terminals to provideintrinsically safe power to the 4-20 mA transducersWhen used in a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR)configuration, you must install Process Variable Monitorsadjacent to each other in groups of three. When used in thisconfiguration, the monitor employs two types of voting toensure accurate operation and to avoid loss of machineryprotection due to single-point failures.Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) Units are no longeravailable for purchase.3500/62Process Variable Monitor DatasheetBently Nevada Machinery Condition Monitoring141541Rev.KSpecificationsInputsOutputsSignal ConditioningSpecified at +25 °C (+77 °F). Full-scale range foreach channel is set in the field via 3500Configuration Software. No calibration isrequired.Accuracy Within ±0.33% of full-scale typical,±1% maximum.Full Scale Range Maximum 20,000 units mapped overthe input signal span. Minimuminput signal span for voltage input is2 volts.AlarmsAlarm SetpointsUser can set Alert and Danger setpoints for thevalue measured by the monitor. Alarms areadjustable and can normally be set from 0 to100% of full-scale for each measured value. Theexception is when the full-scale range exceedsthe range of the sensor in which case thesetpoint will be limited to the range of thesensor. Accuracy of alarms is to within 0.13% ofthe desired value. The Process Variable Monitorhas both under and over alarm setpoints.Alarm Time DelaysUser can use software to set alarm delays asfollows:Alert From 1 to 60 seconds in 1 secondintervals.DangerFrom 1 to 60 seconds in 0.5 secondintervals or to the minimum alarmtime delay. You can also set the Danger time delay at amillisecond interval that varies from 270 to 810milliseconds, depending on the number of activechannels. The millisecond danger interval isdetermined as follows:270ms minimum time + (90ms x number of activechannels)As more channels are used, the alarm time delayincreases. The configuration software willindicate the minimum alarm time delay basedon the channel loading.Proportional ValuesProportional values are Process Variable measurements used to monitor the machine. The Process Variable Monitor returns current or voltage proportional values in a variety of different units that are configurable.

3500 25 Enhanced Keyphasor

DescriptionThe 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor Module is a half-height,two-channel module used to provide Keyphasor signals tothe monitor modules in a 3500 rack. The module receivesinput signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups andconverts the signals to digital Keyphasor signals that indicatewhen the Keyphasor mark on the shaft coincides with theKeyphasor transducer. The 3500 Machinery ProtectionSystem can accept up to four Keyphasor signals for normalconfiguration and up to eight Keyphasor signals in a pairedconfiguration.Keyphasor signal is a once-per-turn or multiple-event-per-turn pulse from a rotating shaft or gearused to provide a precise timing measurement. Thisallows 3500 monitor modules and externaldiagnostic equipment to measure shaft rotativespeed and vector parameters such as 1X vibrationamplitude and phase. The Enhanced Keyphasor Module is an improved 3500system module. It offers expanded Keyphasor signalprocessing capabilities over the previous design whilemaintaining complete downward-compatibility in terms ofform, fit and function with existing Keyphasor modules for usein legacy systems. The Keyphasor module, PWA 125792-01, iscompletely replaced by the updated 149369-01 module. When a system Keyphasor input is required for Triple ModularRedundant (TMR) applications, the 3500 system shouldemploy two Keyphasor modules. In this configuration, themodules work in parallel to provide both a primary andsecondary Keyphasor signal to the other modules in the rack. 3500/25Enhanced Keyphasor Module DatasheetBently Nevada Machinery Condition Monitoring141532Rev.UA system with more than four Keyphasor inputs may use a paired configuration provided there are no more than four primary Keyphasor input signals. A paired configuration requires two consecutive monitoring positions in either the upper/lower or both half-slot positions. Four Keyphasor modules will accept four primary and four backup input channels and provide four output channels (one per module). A configuration of two paired and one non-paired (three Keyphasor modules total) is also possible. In such a configuration, the user may configure the one non-paired Keyphasor (order either two 2-channel or one 1-channel and one 2-channel option)The Isolated Keyphasor I/O module is designed for applications where the Keyphasor signals are tied in parallel to multiple devices and require isolation from other systems, such as a control system. The Isolated I/O module was created specifically for Magnetic Pickup applications but is compatible with and will provide isolation for Proximitor* applications as long as an external power supply is provided. The intent of this I/O module was primarily to measure shaft speed and not phase. The module can provide phase measurements, but this I/O introduces a slightly higher phase shift than the Non-Isolated I/O version. Figure 1 shows the amount of phase shift that the Isolated I/O modules will add at different machine speeds.Enhanced product features include generation of once-per-turn event signals from multi-event-per-turn inputs, field-upgradeable firmware, and asset management data reporting.Specifications InputsPowerConsumption 3.2 Watts typicalSignal Each Keyphasor Module accepts up to two transducer signals from proximity probe transducers or magnetic pickups. The input signal range is +0.8 V to -21.0 V (NonIsolated I/O modules) or +5V to -11V (Isolated I/O modules). Signals exceeding this range are limited internally by the module.
