Topic 2 Traveling It is exciting to visit different places. As you travel, you will see beautiful sceneries typical of the region. Besides, you can meet and make friends with people of different colors and races. Finally, you can get to know the customs and living habits of the local people. Today people are so fond of travelling that tourism has become one of the faster growing industries in most countries. The main reason why people travel is, perhaps, for pleasure. For example, having worked hard throughout the weekdays, people will find a widened trip to the nearby mountains or beaches to relax. For another example, spending an annual holiday travelling abroad is an especially satisfying experience for those who do not have much of an opportunity to be away from their homelands. When people return from their travel, they will generally feel fresh and energetic. Travelling is also one of the best means for learning. You may have read or heard about something but you can never get an accurate picture of it until you see it for yourself. Seeing is believing. Furthermore, if you are a careful observer, you can learn much during your travel about

the geography, biology, and history of the places you visit. No matter how well educated you are, there is always a lot for you to learn through travelling. The knowledge acquired from travel, as you will have found in your life, is no less valuable than that from any influential reference book.

Topic3 Job and Career A career is a long-life process whereas a job is what you do at a specific moment in your life. Your career may contain many jobs and job is the beginning of the career. The job may let you accumulate the precious experiences, and the career is established above those experiences. Nowadays, there is a burning question: job problems! The following reasons may account for this social phenomenon: many colleges open their doors wider and many firms need workers of comprehensive abilities to run the projects well. As a result, the gap between ideal and real is very big. How can we find a decent job? Confusion and anxiety are not benefit to a successful job search, we should adjust the mood positively for a variety of opportunities. Our government now is improving the employment situation, and we have a variety of channels to achieve our goals! We should also enhance our own competitiveness, while avoiding the present employment crisis. From my perspective, finding your favorite work and realizing

your value are important! If you are not interested in your job, you can rear your interest in your work! You should understand what you need and recognize the work that you will be engaged in and make career plan! Identifying your strengths and weaknesses is indispensable! That is all! Topic 4 Traffic and Transportation With the development of society and the improvement of people's living standards, more and more people have their own cars. However, it will also bring some negative effects. As we all know, more and more traffic accidents happen every now and then because of high traffic volume, lagging infrastructures such as inadequate and incompetent road designs, lack of meaningful driver education and testing and a system of traffic enforcement. Many bad and dangerous drivers are not skillful enough and irresponsible.

I think the best way to avoid traffic accidents is education for Drivers’ self-discipline and for pedestrians’ self-protection! Those measures, such as strict and effective official monitoring and management, strict rule implementation, severe punishment, are indispensable. As a driver, we should obey traffic rules all the time. Do not drive too fast in case of tailgating; do not use cell-phones during driving; stop

aggressive driving habits such as running the red light or sudden changing lane! If there were an accident, what would we do? First of all, you should stop your car and take some deep breaths to get calm, never hit-and-run. Second, keep yourself and others safe and report to the accident police and call your insurance company. It is important to take the emergency kit with you all the time in your car. So keeping safety in mind is cherishing our own life!

Topic 5 Interpersonal Relationship Interpersonal relationship is defined as a social relation established by people when they are in the process of production and life. Interpersonal relationship containing friendship, love and profession exists in almost everywhere, such as our schools’ life, our campus activities, and our companies, in short, it exists in our whole society life. This is what our mankind different with other animals. Interpersonal relationship which is the basic demand of our society can help you get a better understanding of yourself! It used as the criterion for social psychological health can help you reach self-realization and affirmation! Although in different places you will find different interpersonal relationships, they have one principle, you should obey certain rules to keep a good relationship with

other people and therefore enjoy the benefit in turn. Today our life is becoming better and better, but there is still a problem, that is how to improve interpersonal relationship? In my opinion, first we should respect others, as an old saying: if you want others to respect you, you need respect others first. Second, we shouldn’t be selfish. If we are selfish we can’t make a true friend. Third, we should listen to others’ opinion with an open mind and be ready to help others. At last we shouldn’t be inferiority; we need to be outgoing and friendly. Therefore, I am sure we can improve interpersonal relationship through these ways. That is all! Thanks for your attention!

Topic 6 Love and Marriage People defined love as: based on certain material conditions and the common ideal of life, two people in their heart form the most sincere admiration for each other, and eager to become his/her lifelong partner .It is the strongest, most stable and specific feelings. “L”－Loyal: Be loyal to your lover. “O”－Observant: It is the bridge of love, which can lead one to the depths of the soul of another. “V”－Valued: When you have dispute in something, you should respect his/her opinion or choice. “E”－Excuse: Forgive his\her shortcomings and mistakes which can make love longer.

People defined marriage as: the formal and public commitment of two people to spend the rest of their lives together. Love and marriage are closely related and promote each other. Marriage is built on the base of love. Only with the base of love can the marriage be happiness. Love is a prelude for marriage, and marriage is where love continues to grow. Before marriage, love is passionate. After marriage, love has changed gradually into a realistic one. Once married, the couple have to deal with numerous household chores and are disappointed to find the perfect beloved one. Love is a subjective personal emotion, whereas marriage is an objective legal union. However, starting a marriage requires a careful consideration. People should think it over that whether they are ready to perform their respective rights and obligations that laws and regulations call for. So, love needs attraction and marriage requires consideration.

Topic 7 House and Dwelling With more and more people rushing into cities, the contradiction between limited land resources and urbanization is so sharp that there are lots of problems behind this social phenomenon containing high price, large gap in housing conditions and forced demolition! What is more, there is a big bubble in China’s real estate which will burst

sooner or later! So I will rent a house after graduation because

it is cheap and convenient! Here, I have to talk about two hot words: ant tribe and naked weeding! Ant tribe means people live

in basement like ants. It is too common in first-tier cities such as Beijing and Shanghai! Naked weeding means a couple own

a marriage certificate but have no car, no weeding and no house! We also know a sitcom named naked weeding time played by Wenzhang and Yaodi. In this sitcom, they always get in trouble because of the economic situation! LiuYiyang is a perfect man loved by some girls, but it makes us think twice that naked weeding is feasible or not in this materialistic society! Because of these problems, our government should take some measures to solve them! Formulate related law and strengthen the supervision by public opinion are positive ways! I want to share a sentence with you, the sentence is that enjoying your own life is the most important no matter whether you have a house nor not, whether your house is big or small, whether your house

is in city or village! That is all! Thanks for your attention! Topic8 Past and Future Childhood is the happiest and easiest time I cherish most in my life. Children show you their true emotions and they know what’s compassion and what’s tolerance better than adults. In their world, all real thoughts are

presented. They may easily have different opinions with others, but they never understand what’s animosity. They enjoy making friends but they never think about making social communication net. Every child talks from the bottom of his heart without evil plans hidden and never intrigues against each other. Artists say childhood is the flower which is in bud. In the eyes of the dancers, childhood is the most beautiful melody. In the world of the poets, it’s clearly that childhood is the germinatio n of hope. Today we have high buildings and wider highways, but short temperaments and narrow points of views; we have higher income, but less morals; we have big houses, but small families; we have conquered the outer space, but not our inner space; we have more knowledge, but less judgment; we have much more food, but less nutrition; we have more medicines, but less health! Life is a chain of moments of enjoyment, not only about survival! It takes something from our hearts, and it never comes again. Topic 9 Fashion and life Fashion is a term commonly used to describe a style of clothing or the like chased by many people.

A fashion usually remains popular for a period of time and then is replaced by another fashion. Fashion is a term usually used in a positive sense, as a synonym for glamour, beauty and style. It is also applied to a prevailing mode of expression, but quite often applied to a personal mode of expression that may or may not be applied to all. Apart from the mainstream commercial fashion, we also have fashion influenced by a subculture. It is fashion from the fringes, which may often be more artistic than practical. Young people would easily accept fashionable things and like pursuing fashion. They are more sensitive to the changes in the fashion world and more willing to spend time and money on it than middle aged people and the elders. Regarding the middle aged people, some of them know something about fashion from TV programs, commercials and their children. Some people like fashionable things, but most of them have no time and do not want to spend too much money on it. Fashion is a person’s attitude towards life. Just as old saying goes, different people hold different views! Some people think fashion increases the economy of society and improves a person’s appearance, but others believe fashion is a waste of natural resource. So we should treat this social phenomenon rationally!

Topic 10 Chinese and Foreigners As we all know, there are so many differences between Chinese and foreigners! For example, the ways of taking care of children are different! In the US, children are more independent. They know what to be at an early age and plan carefully to achieve the goals. In China, Parents usually prepare everything for us! What we should do is to accept without any doubt which means respect. In China there’re usually many rules to tie down students, such as wearing uniform. But students in American schools have the freedom to choose what to wear. They are enjoying themselves on the way to success when we’re buried in the ocean of pap er to pass the college entrance exam! We can also understand differences from the movie cultural collisions: personal heroism is what foreigners pursue: but in China, unity is strength, persevering! Although the differences are existing, I think relationships between a Chinese and a foreigner should be friendly and equal in further development! How should foreigners and Chinese keep good relationship? Firstly, take the initiative to understand each other's living habits and to increase communications and cooperation, mutual benefits. Secondly, respect each other, understand each other to promote the common progress of the world. In a word, we are all living

in the same world, so we should make joint efforts on such questions in order to live in a harmony life with different skin people in different countries.
