When I was a child, I didn't have hair on my head.

I liked to watch my friends play. I would join them now and then, but I preferred watching.

Every day, we would see an old man walking by our playground, carrying an umbrella. He had big ears and a bald head. The moment my friends saw him pass by, they would shout, "Hey, deaf and dumb, what's the time" They told me that he could neither hear nor speak.

It was early evening. I was standing at the gate of my house, when I saw the old man coming. I was alone. There were no friends around to shout the usual words of 'greeting'.

But how could I let this man walk by without saying anything So for the first time, I asked in a soft voice, "Hey, deaf and dumb, what's the time”

While Diane O'Neil was washing her clothes at a laundry shop, she knew she had to keep a close eye on her naughty grandson. She received a text message and looked down at her phone for seconds, but the next

thing she knew--Colin Lambert was gone. Looking around for the 18-month-old boy, she quickly noticed the youngster climbing inside of a claw machine(夹娃娃机).

With his feet hanging out of the door at the bottom of the machine, Colin kicked back when Mrs. O'Neill tried to grab his legs and made his way inside. He then sat among the soft toys.

Mrs. O'Neil dialed 911, but she quickly felt at ease, realizing that the youngster wasn't hurt. She told WBIR: 'My biggest fear that he was going to try and climb back over and try and get out because the piece of glass that keeps the toys in was broken. 'It was the funniest thing because he was the kid in the box. He was hitting the sides trying to find out how to get out.'

Mrs. O'Neil then called the boy's mother, who had been sleeping

after a long day at work. Fearing for her son, she asked if he was alright. Mrs. O'Neill sent her a photo of Colin on her cell phone and

she burst out laughing.

It is not the first time in recent months a child has been caught inside one of the machines. In April a little girl from Fort Lauderdale was able to climb into the claw machine and gain access to a pile of stuffed animals which she handed out to all who desired to claim a prize. One day, Mom told me about this cute puppy at the pet store. She kept saying that it was sad to see the poor little thing left alone for a week. He had three brothers, but they were all sold about a week ago. He needed to have someone to play with and to take care of him. After she told me that he looked like a blonde fox, I was sold. I called up the pet store to tell the owner I was going to buy the last poor puppy that afternoon.

He was a very tiny two-pound ball of fur when I bought him. Since he was small, I trained him to use a kitty litter box. When summer came, he was an outdoor trained puppy. I’ve taugh t him a lot of tricks. He knows how to shake paws, how to sit, to dance with music, to hide his eyes, and his most famous trick: to speak. He doesn’t bark. His speak is a wolf’s howl. Some days, he has a lot to say, and others, he’s quiet. It’s an impressive trick, which my sister enjoys showing off to everyone who visits.

He’s cutest when he sticks out his tongue, which is a sign that he’s happy. No matter he’s naughty or sweet, I love him all the same.
