Last Saturday, our class visited the Museum of the Anti-Japanese War. When our school bus arrived at the Museum, we got off and entered in line. The moment we went into the exhibition room, we were attracted by the pictures and descriptions about the war on the wall. Some students took notes while others had a little discussion. We were shocked at the cruelty of the war. Then we gathered in another room and listened to an old soldier telling the stories about the war. Therefore, we had a better understanding of the history.

Before we left, we all came to the front of the museum and took a picture with the old soldier in memory of our visit. We were very glad to meet such a true hero.

We hope by visiting the museum more people can remember what happened in the war and treasure the peaceful life.

An Unforgettable Day

On September 3, a military parade was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory of World War II. Ten minutes before the big event, we seated ourselves in front of the TV, eager to watch the live broadcast.

Soon the parade started. Seeing the soldiers and military equipment proceed along Chang’an Street, past Tian’anmen Square, we couldn’t he lp cheering and applauding for our powerful country.

Then the roaring of military aircraft overhead caught our attention. We rushed to the balcony and took photos of the planes flying in formation. What an impressive scene!

I couldn’t wait to share my pict ures and feelings with friends on WeChat Moments. To my surprise, WeChat was already flooded with numerous pictures and comments expressing love for our motherland. What an unfo rgettable day!

Last week, some Australian students came to our school for a visit. As a volunteer, I joined in the activity. Early that day, we gave them a warm welcome at the school gate. Our Wonderful Little Production

Last week we held a production-making activity in our school.

On Monday afternoon, my classmates and I had a discussion and we decided to make a model airplane to take part in the activity. During the following days we made full preparations after class. First we did some design work. Every one of us put forward ideas on how to make our plane fly high and steadily. According to the design, we bought necessary materials and began to work on it. Although it was really a hard job, we all did it with great enthusiasm. Two days later, a beautiful model airplane was born. On Friday afternoon, we flew our model airplane on the playground. Many students came to watch with great interest and they all spoke highly of our work.

We were really satisfied and felt proud of ourselves. What an exciting experience!

Dear Jack,

Last week, our school organized a Traditional Culture Festival.Upon hearing this news, we were excited and decided to make Hanfu with newspapers. First, we surfed the Internet for the Hanfu’s original culture and different styles. With the information collected, we started to design our own Hanfu. After a couple of attempts, our design was finally created. Immediately, we got down to work. We cut the newspapers, stuck the pieces together and even colored it. Finally, when our show time came, I walked the runway wearing our elegant Hanfu and the audience cheered and even got onto their feet with wild applause.

This activity gave us a strong sense of achievement. More importantly, we gained a lot of pride in and knowledge about our traditional culture.

Last Saturday morning, I got up early and planned to search for information for my investigative study in the library.

I caught the first bus. There were only several people aboard and I was pleased to have a vacant seat. However, the bus got more and more crowded after a few stops. I found an old man standing beside me and I gave up my seat to him without hesitation. When I got off the bus, I saw a blind man waiting to cross the street, I immediately gave him a hand. At last, I arrived at the library and seeked out the information I needed.

I’m writing to share the story of celebrating my mother’s birthday last week. I love my mother very much, who is very kind and hardworking. As her birthday was drawing near, I was excited and determined to celebrate birthday for her.

However, I was really bothered about the birthday gift. “ Whether should it be a beautiful bag, a pair of fashionable shoes, or a home-made (DIY) birthday cake?” I thought. At last, I decided to make a birthday cake for her, since it could express my love most. In order to make a cake, I needed an oven, so I bought one through the Internet immediately. Having got the oven, I couldn’t wait to bake the cake according to the directions. After several times of trial and error, I eventually succeeded. On that special day, I successfully made a birthday cake and my mother was in for a surprise and praised me a lot.

With the delicious dishes and loving cake, my mother was rejoiced and all my family was enjoyed in the happy birthday. And I felt a sense of achievement.
