A year ago August, Dave Fuss lost his job driving a truck for a small company in west Michigan. His wife, Gerrie, was still working in the local school cafeteria, but work for Dave was scarce, and the price of everything was rising. A couple of years ago, I learned this lesson. That day, I took a taxi to Grand Central Station. Barack Obama knows what it means when a family struggles. He knows what it means to want something more for your kids and grandkids.

Barack knows the American Dream because he has lived it... and he wants everyone in this country to have the same opportunity, no matter who we are, or where we're from, or what we look like, or who we love.
