题名一般为名词短语,注意修饰词的顺序,一般不用冠词。实

词首字母大写,虚词一律小写,众所周知的缩略语可用于题名,如CAD、ERP等;

题目其原则是准确、简练、清晰。它要求用最简洁、恰当的词组反映论文的主题,题目应包括文章的主要关键词中、英文题目在内容上应一致,特别是专业术语在翻译时一定要准确无误,符合英语习惯,而不能按汉语顺序逐字对译。

摘要:本文讨论了基于数据库的润滑油过程实时故障诊断专家系统的研究与实现。对于该系统的体系结构、知识库结构、推理机的设计以及内存数据库的实现进行了详细介绍。尤其是讨论了一种新的推理路径选择策略-前提排序策略。在润滑油生产过程的实际应用表明,该系统能够及时、迅速对故障作出响应,满足了生产需求。

Abstract this paper presents an expert system for real-time fault diagnosis of chemical processes. The system structure, a structure of knowledge base and a design of inference machine as well as an implementation of memory database are discussed in detail. A new strategy of selection of reasoning route-a sort strategy of antecedent as well as a selection strategy of rules of

memory database is presented. To take a lubrication processes for example, a diagnose process of the system has been discussed. The application of the system to the lubrication process has been shown that it has responded with the process fault immediately and satisfied requirement of a production.

A 英文题目一般是中文题目的翻译,内容与中文题目要求一致,但不等于说词语一一对应。英文题目既要完整准确地表达中文题目的意义,又要符合英文习惯,主题目与副题目间用冒号或破折号隔开;翻译力求简明扼要,许多文题常有“…的研究”、“…一瞥”、“漫谈…”、“试论…”“浅说…”、“…初探”等词,英译时不要,这样,既符合英语惯例又可使文题更加简洁、醒目。

B 以短语为主,尤以名词短语最常见,即由一个或若干个并列的名词加上必要的修饰语构成,一般没有谓语成分,如:Evolution of Quality Analysis for Liquid Propellant。冠词可用可不用时均不用。缩略语只有得到本专业或相邻专业科技人员的公知公用,在题目中才能使用,否则不宜使用。

C 避免使用不常见或不规范的符号,如化学式、上下角标、特殊符号(数字符号、希腊字母等)、公式、不常用的专业术语和非英语词汇(包括拉丁语)等。有些期刊还特别规定题目中不得使用专利名、原料或仪器的公司名、特殊商业标记或商标等。

D题目英文字母的大小写,一般遵循以下原则:实词首字母大写;连词、冠词及少于4个字母的介词小写,如:in,on,of,for,by,and,the,a等,但这些词位于题目(包括主题目和副题目)中首词或最后一词,其首字母应大写;介词字母多于4个(含4个)时,首字母大写,如:With,About等;连字符连接的词需要首字母大写时,除了连字符前面的大写外,连字符后面的词如是名词、专有形容词或其他同等重要的词也必须首字母大写,如:Preparation of Polyurethane Hot-Melt Adhesive。

E 在题目准确、简练、清晰的原则下,题目字数越少越好,一般可在10

个词以内,不宜超15个词。

Abstract

An expert system for real-time fault diagnosis of chemical processes is presented in this paper. The system architecture, the knowledge base, and the design of the inference machine are discussed in detail. A new strategy is presented for selection of reasoning route ?a sorting strategy of antecedent. The lubricating oil refining process is taken as the industrial implementation case. A diagnose system has been developed. The application of the system to the lubricating oil process has shown that it responds with the process faults immediately and satisfies requirement of the production.

1.Introduction

Nowadays chemical processes have become more and more complicated. Structure of the control system tends to be complicated and large size. When abnormal situations occur, the control system sends out alert signals. It is difficult for operators to analyze the cause of abnormal situation and obtain a reasonable suggestion for treatment. Therefore, how to monitor the process in real time, diagnose a fault promptly, and analyze the cause[1] of the faults is a critically significant for a safe, effective and long period run of the chemical processes.

There are numerous measurement variables in chemical processes[2].Precise mathematical model is difficultly to be built. It is better solution that the rule-based expert system in the fault diagnosis of chemical processes (Qian, 2005a). The application of the expert system of fault diagnosis for the polyethylene installation has been developed (Yang, 1998). Other expert system for real-time fault diagnosis of complex chemical processes is applied to the fluid catalytic cracking unit (Qian, 2003b).

In this work, an expert system of real-time fault diagnosis for the lubricating oil refining processes is developed(Yu, 2003). The structure of the expert system, the knowledge base and the design of inference machine is represented in details. 3. Introduction:

A. 如何指出当前研究的不足并有目的地引导出自己研究的重要性?

在叙述前人成果之后,用However来引导不足,提出一种新方法或新方向。

如:However, little information(little attention/little work/little data/little research……)(or few studies/few investigations/few researchers/few attempts……)(or no/none of these studies……)has(have)been done on(focused on/attempted to/conducted/investigated/studied(with respect to))。

如:Previous research (studies, records) has (have) failed to consider/ ignored/ misinterpreted/ neglected to/overestimated, underestimated/misleaded. thus, these previus results are inconclisive, misleading, unsatisfactory, questionable, controversial. Uncertainties (discrepancies) still exist……

研究方法和方向与前人一样时,可通过以下方式强调自己工作:However, data is still scarc e(rare, less accurate)or there is still dearth of……We need to(aim to, have to) provide more documents(data, records, studies, increase the dataset). Further studies are still necessary(essential)……

绝对不能全面否定前人的成果。这是对前人工作最起码的尊重,英文叫做给别人的工作credits.所以文章不要出现非常negative的评价,比如

Their results are wrong,

very questionable,

have no commensence, etc.

遇到这类情况,可以婉转地提出:

Their studies may be more reasonable if they had……considered this situation.

Their results could be better convinced if they……Or

Their conclusion may remain some uncertanties.

强调自己研究的重要性,一般还要在However之前介绍与自己研究问题相反或相关的问题。比如:(1)时间问题;(2)研究手段问题;(3)研究区域问题;(4)不确定性;(5)提出自己的假设来验证。

如果你研究的问题在时间上比较新,你可大量提及时间较老问题的研究及重要性,然后(However)表明“对时间尺度比较新的问题研究不足”;

如果你的是一种新的研究手段或研究方向,你可提出当前流行的方法及其物质性质,然后(However)说对你所研究的方向方法研究甚少;

如果研究涉及区域问题,就先总结相邻区域或其它区域的研究,然后(However)强调这一区域的研究不足;虽然前人对某一问题研究很多,但目前有两种或更多种观点,这种uncertanties或ambiguities值得进一步澄清;

如果自己的研究是全是新的,没有前人的工作可对比,你就可以自信地说“根据假设提出的过程,存在这种可能的结果,本文就是要证实这种结果”等等。We aim to test the feasibility (reliability) of the……It is hoped that the question will be resolved (fall away) with our proposed method (approach).

B. 圈定自己的研究范围:

introduction内容。如果处理不好,reviewer会提出严厉的建议,比如你没有考虑某种可能性,某种研究手段等。为减少这种争论,前言的结尾就必须明确提出本文研究的范围:(1)时间尺度;(2) 研究区域等。

如涉及较长的时序,你可明确提出本文只关心某一特定时间范围的问题,We preliminarily focus on the older (younger)……

如有两种时间尺度(long-term and short term),你可说两者都重要,但是本文只涉及其中一种。

研究区域的问题,和时间问题一样,也需明确提出你只关心某一特定区域!
