Everyone needs friends. We all like to feel close to someone. It is nice to have a friend to talk, laugh, and do things with. Surely, there is time when we need to be alone. We don't always want people around. But we would feel lonely if we never had a friend.

Friends play an important part in our lives, and although we may think that friendship comes only too naturally, we often don’t clearly understand how to make friends. While we get on well with a number of people, we are usually friends with only a very few--- for example, the average among students is about 6 per person.
