For the development of a country, it is more important to spend money on education of very young children than to spend on universities.

Education plays an increasing fundamental role in our days. We tie the future of our country to the level of education standard and government is projecting to increase the funding for students. But there is a substantial divergence of opinion. Some say that the significance of educating our young children outweighs that of elder students and the government should elevate the investment on the former. In my opinion, spending more on universities is a great deal.

First, through the investment on university we can harvest an instant result on the improved employment rate. The USA is suffering the aftermath of economy crisis in 2008. Countless companies are shrinking their salary and cutting employees; highly educated graduates are anxious for hunting an ordinary job. Therefore the request of new job opportunity is increasing correspondingly. To fill the unemployment rate gap, government can invest more money to enhance the education level in the universities, whose teaching qualities link to the employment rate directly. For example, the university can make use of the money into the extension of library and purchase of more books, motivating more students to engage into library marathons. Or investing the money on the recruitment of senior professors, who can not only deliver more practical knowledge to students, but also use his/her strong personal network to recommend some excellent students to some positions.

Second, numerous scientific research achievements come from universities labs. Doing experiments is not so cost-efficient but brings many progressions to our lives and our society, which is closely related to everyone. So labs need more funding. For example, enjoying a good reputation in the domain of physics, Stanford University uses her linear accelerator, which is the largest in the world, to accomplish many researches. But starting up the machines needs electricity much enough to light up a town for a whole year. Is that worthy? Certainly it is. Seemingly not environmental-friendly at first sight, these researches in Stanford are exceedingly important; without them, the nuclear power cannot get its proper and safe use on generating electricity, which prohibits many trees from being cut down and cuts the potential carbon emissions invisibly. There is no doubt that the government should pay the bill, providing solid funding for universities to explore the science.

Admittedly, scientists are more mindful of the preliminary education for young kids. According to research, 5-10 year-old is the golden time to cultivate children’s intelligences. Kids are unconsciously influenced by environmental elements such as the sophisticated teaching facility. But we should take it with a grain of salt. Young children are prone to be distracted in multi-media classrooms because their brains are not mature enough to resist temptations of online games, which can be played secretly on the class. So, spending too much money on young children is merely an exercise in vain.

We need tohave different sources of news and information to know which one is the realone or who is telling the truth.

The ability of independent thinking, virtually symbolizes the [the去掉]intelligence, is treasured nowadays. Lazy modern people tend to be misled by some single-sourced news, because the same event can be reported in different versions which may either agitate public anger or reassure their anxiety. Therefore, limited information will encumber people to dig the truth. In my point, grasping varies sources of news are the cornerstone to explore and identify the reality.

We are in the maze, the seemingly shortcut to the truth may be the deliberate pitfall. To bury the truth or cover the crime, the government will control the public opinions and exert influences on people. [这里可以说take advantage of 就不用这么累赘地说两个短句了]So the sole source of news is not trustworthy. For example, in North Korea, numerous dissidents are being muzzled by the leader. Kim Jong Eun cuts the connection to the outside world and instills his extreme thought to citizens, making them believe that they are the “happiest man” [men] in the world. Under such totalitarianism, it is difficult for people to know their real life. But there are still some people who can secretly surf the Internet, knowing their life and the truth of their nation from CNN or BBC. Increasing number of citizens are escaping[加from] North Korea currently. That exemplifies how different sources of news help people to find the truth. 朝鲜的例子举得很不错] Although diverse sources of news may perplex people, they are the cornerstone for in depth truth exploring. [加连字符]One-sided news reports make it easy for North Korean to know the truth. On the contrary, in the countries with freedom of speech, it is grossly tough for people to identify the reality. Nonetheless, different sources of news provide different perspectives toward the same events. By comparison of the news, we can survive from the overwhelming information. For example, Reuters, Times and The Wall Street journals, they chose different point [复数] to report the Mh370 accidents. Finding the contradictions and common points in these reports, we can ensure that the plane has deviated its airline and the oil had been consumed up. But whether the plane exploded or

directly sank into the sea needs further information. [结合时事很好,而且也和前面一段有自然的衔接]

Admittedly, it is time-consuming to collect the information and analyze them. For example, in order to find the truth of WWII, historians just [just去掉] have to search not only the formal history but also countless unofficial history. But the project is worth conducting because the truth is all that we chase for our life. Conscientious people want to know whether their country was at fault for the war; many dead people urged for a fair judgment of their life. So we need abundant information to find the truth.

In sum, the more diversified sources of news we get the truth, the closer we are to the truth. [结尾不宜过于简洁]

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Physical exercises are much more important to elderly people than young people.

Physical exercises are undoubtedly of great importance for both the elderly and young people since they can provide the people with optimistic emotions and healthy bodies. Based on my own experience and personality, compared with the effects physical exercises have on the elderly, I think exercises are much more vital for young people.

To begin with, undoubtedly, physical exercise can assist young people to keep fit, which is tightly relevant to their performance on both their study and work. Yu Qiuyu, one of the most influential and greatest writers in China, has insightfully commented that, “Nothing is more important than a good body.” Only by having a healthy body can people put all their attention to the work they are doing,[加逗号] as once they get sick, it is difficult for them to concentrate on the work. I can think of no better illustration that people who are ill will probably ask for leave. Even if they are on duty, their working results might be less than satisfactory. Hence, in order to make better achievements without delay, it is important for young people to do some exercise to remain healthy.

Further lending credence to my position is that for young people, the more physical exercises they do, the higher working efficiency they can have. That is because not only can physical exercises offer young people healthy bodies, they can also

encourage young people to have a good mood. First, during the process of exercising, they can release all their emotions and pressure, and somehow get a temporary escape from the work and study. Second, they can do exercises in the locations such as beaches, which are far from the city. On the beach, they are able to watch the beautiful sea and feel the wind, which will make them feel comfortable both physically and mentally. With better mood, clearly, their working efficiency can be largely promoted as well.

Wh at’s more, no one can deny the fact in the contemporary society, young people, especially girls, care more about their shapes than elderly people do, so doing physical exercises is their best choice. I do admit that going on a diet is helpful for losing weight, but it will probably result in some bad consequences like dystrophia. Thus, doing exercises seem more effective for them. Apart from losing weight, they do not have to eat less during meals.

Based on the analysis above, we can hardly ignore the great influences physical exercises produce on young people’s growth. Therefore, I can safely draw the conclusion that exercises are much more essential for young people.

托福独立写作高分范文4 ● 绝对词型 185题库 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best https://www.360docs.net/doc/5714730134.html,e specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Obviously, in most cases the earliest teachers people have are their parents, and parents are generally most concerned about the development of their children. However, it is not completely true to say that parents are the best teachers. Parents may, nevertheless, help their children much more than do good teachers. Most parts of children education are virtually beyond teachers' reaches. It is parents that supplement. Psychology studies have shown us that parents' love sometimes has astonishingly magic power to their children. Forest Gump's mother is a good example. On the other hand, parents might do their children harm more than do bad teachers as well. The natures of those children whose parents have misbehaviors are often severely distorted. In reality, not all parents are good teachers. As normal individuals, some parents more or less have some bad habits. Even though parents almost instinctively devote themselves to cultivating their offspring, the outcome might turn out to be disappointment, for all children tend to unconsciously or subconsciously copy everything including bad ones from their parents. Another deficiency of parents as teachers is the fact that most parents are lack of common senses of education. All too often we observe some parents tend to pursue their cherished but failed dream by forcing their children to develop in a prearranged direction. Ironically, when their children do not follow the instructions, the children will be regarded as disobedient or allegedly rebellious. In fact, it is parents rather than their children that virtually disobey common senses. Moreover, some parents are qualified as good teachers, but not all of them are the best ones. When children are in the preliminary school, it is not surprising that parents are perhaps capable of teaching their children almost every subject even better than professional teachers in the school. But the situation will not last long. We live in a world where knowledge is accumulated by multiplying and at the same time becomes more and more specialized. Therefore, to be a professional in a certain field today takes much longer time than has ever been before. No parent is able to be professional in all fields, though they might be experts in one or more fields. Wise parents often release rather than charge their children as early as possible. They are aware of the possibility outside the family. In a word, it is rather superficial to simply say that parents are the best teachers.(403)

Are our kids becoming lazier and less creative, less imaginable than before as a consequence of highlyadvanced technology? My answer is no, and just the opposite, technology has apparently assisted our kids tobecome more creative. First and foremost, technology has provided children with easy access to scientific and liberal art resourceswhich is their best source of inspiration. For example, children could now easily gain access to academic databasesthrough iPad screen, read classical works on Kindle, or watch historic documents on Internet. These great worksare essentially helpful to arousing their curiosity and prepares them with key knowledge necessary for any creation. However, these wonderful equipments and facilities are never as handy in the past, when kids could only reachlimited resources in public libraries or schools. In this sense, technology has provided the possibility for children tobe more creative. Second, technology has equipped children with professional apparatus which could finally realize theirimagination. This takes form particularly as computer softwares and applications, such as Photoshop for creativegraphic design, Overture for easily composing a piece of music, 3DMax for building up a virtual world, etc.. Allthe software were never as handy as they are at present, and this would absolutely provides our children aneffective tool for realizing their creativity. Third, technology itself is a market place where creative ideas are economically encouraged. Steve Jobsearned millions of dollars a year for his unparallel creation, and Mark Zuckberg gained his reputation for thegenius social network. Therefore, technology has provided children the internal motive to develop their creativity. However, it is undeniable that technology might make children become lazier and be comfortable with whatis already available because everything are so convenient nowadays and there seems to be no way to improve them.Children lost in

GOOD 29 When you are assigned an important presentation for work or school, you prefer to work on it right away so that you can work on it a little bit every day, or wait until you have a good idea about the presentation Though novel ideas can help better assignments, I prefer to work on the presentation as soon as I am assigned it. First, the presentation cannot be done just by creativity, but by proper arrangement. A job plan, manageable, precise and rational, is not only the bed rock of completing but also the guarantee of time-saving. For instance, preparing the material for the topic, researching some knowledge in the textbooks and discussing the task with the other students in group are the things that you can do even when you do not have any inspiration. So redistributing your plan can avoid wasting your time waiting. Second, good idea is always late for your deadline, a regret that can be eliminated by right-away action. The more time you waste on planning and considering your presentation, the less time you will have to revise and complete your assignment. Take my brother Jim for an example. He is a freshman in university and quite into the first presentation in the opening of semester. Spending the last 4 days engaging in assembling the ideas, he, with barely nothing innovative, has no time typing a practicing so that he needs to stay up late the last night to catch up in time. As a result, he can not hand in the presentation when the de adline comes and he is “booed” by audiences. Last but not the least, instant preparation is the embryo of creative ideas, which can not be born without practical exercises. What’s more, only by preparing the work bit by bit can you have high motivation to finish the task because you do not need to be hurry. If you had been in a rush, you would have reduced your impetus to a standard of “just finishing”. All in all, all the evidence confirms undoubted conclusion that when people are assigned an important presentation for work or school, we should choose to work on it right away in order to work on it a little bit every day.

为了帮助大家高效备考托福,为大家带来托福TPO48独立写作题目文本+满分范文,希望 对大家备考有所帮助。 托福TPO48独立写作题目原文: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Because modern life is very complex, it is essential for young people to have the ability to plan and https://www.360docs.net/doc/5714730134.html,e specific reasons and examples to support your answer. 托福TPO48独立写作满分范文1: Increasingly sophisticated technology, explosive information and intricate international relationships all work together to complicate the modern life, which makes our modern people somewhat overwhelmed. Individuals whoever want to have a better control of one’s life must equip themselves with some essential skills or abilities. Planning and organizing, which embodies the skill of anticipating, influencing, and controlling, in my view, is becoming gradually important in coping with today’s complication especially for the young who are always the most passionate but also with less self-control. First of all, planning helps keep one on course in achieving goals and crystallize objectives. Young people always possess some grand dreams which may take years to accomplish. Planning ahead, on the one hand, could effectively put one on the right track thus prevent energy from being scattered or wasted. A survey conducted by experts from Oxford University shows that over 90% of elites and enterprisers had precise objects and made plans for decades later at very young age. Like Bill Gates, one of the most prominent persons I have ever seen, discontinued their studies since he was definite aware of what he should do in order to become the leader of IT field. On the other hand, plans, which are organized step by step, could turn the ultimate goals into several achievable ones. With achievable objective achieved one by one, the ultimate goal will finally be attained. Besides, planning and organizing help to promise one’s best performance in most occasions. Panning means trying to anticipate all the possibilities and arrange things in a scientific order. It clearly tells people what to do currently and what should do the next, which prevents disorder or chaos. Thus, people may feel assured and will be with less stress. For example, a student who sticks to a study plan is less likely to be nervous thus will be more likely to have better performance than those who crams for tests. Today youngsters are exposed with fierce competitions but also abundant opportunities. Good performance is key to hold these opportunities in hand. It is undeniable that our society changes at such a quick pace that we cannot plan everything in previous. But this by no means implies that the ability is not important. Without a plan, complex things will only get more complicated. Abraham Lincoln reportedly once said, “If I had 60 minutes to cut down a tree, I would spend 40 minutes sharpening the ax and 20 minutes cutting it down.” Planning is just like “sharpening the ax”, which will no doubt facilitate a task easy done. All in all, though the ability of planning and organizing may not be omnipotent for people

Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative. Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned from others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group ’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great leader is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstorm and exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village. Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other. Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrasedfrom John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do. 托福写作辅导:托福考试满分作文欣赏(2) Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. 为了帮助大家高效备考托福,为大家带来托福TPO45独立写作题目文本+满分范文,希望对大家备考有所帮助。 托福TPO45独立写作题目原文: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In the past, young people depended too much on their parents to make decisions for them; today young people are better able to make decisions about their own https://www.360docs.net/doc/5714730134.html,e specific reasons and examples to support your answer. 托福TPO45独立写作满分范文: With the development of society, our living habits have been changed greatly. One of the most significant changes is the issue of whom we young people depend on when making a decision. In the past, young people usually depended on their older family members, especially their parents. However, in contemporary society, we young adults tend to make choice on our own. Here are the reasons. Admittedly, in the past, the ways they acquired information, most of which come from experience, were limited. It was parents who are much more experienced than their children. In this case, they tended to listen to parents’ advice and let them to control determination. As we all know, over the several decades, parents made the decision for their children who they would marry with in China. At that time, girls had no chance to meet the young men with the same age. However, their parents had the permission to know their children’s future partners through various ways. Without doubt, it was a right choice to depend on their parents when making a decision in the past. However, we can get access to a great amount of information, which do good to decision making nowadays. Surfing on the internet, clicking on the mouse, news will display on your computer screen within seconds. What’s more, after educating, we have learnt knowledge in a systematic way, which enable us to understand ourselves and the world better. All of these create a good atmosphere for us young people to make decision on ourselves. According to a survey conducted by Peking University aiming to find out how students choose their majors, 80 percent of students depend on their own while less than 20% decided by their parents or teachers instead. Most students are independent nowadays. They would listen to their parents, but it is themselves who determine the final choice. Another important reason is that some of adults’ experience work less effectively on our generation because conditions change rapidly in the information age. In the past, it was less likely for youngsters to move out of their hometowns while we usually move from one place to another nowadays. So parents’ idea might not fit our situation any more. Consequently, we prefer to make a decision depend on our own experience. In sum, for the reasons I mentioned above, I totally agree that in contemporary society, we young adults are better able to make choice on our own. 以上是给大家整理的托福TPO45独立写作题目文本+满分范文,希望对你有所帮助!
