英语小说翻译过程中存在的问题及对策

【摘要】背景知识掌握不准确、语法转换存在不足、表达方式上考虑不周，是英语小说翻译过程中存在的主要问题。加深对背景知识的了解，做好语法方面的转换，在表达方式的选择上多下功夫，是我们应对小说翻译过程中出现问题的策略。
【关键词】英语小说翻译成因问题及对策
在阅读英语小说的汉语翻译版本时，常常会遇到语言拗口，或者表达方式难以接受的情况。之所以出现这一问题，其主要原因是在英语小说翻译中，没有处理好英语与汉语的关系，同时对英语语法和表达方式把握不准确，导致了英语小说在翻译过程还存在一定的问题。为了有效解决英语小说翻译问题，并不断提高英语小说翻译水平，我们不但要认真分析英语小说翻译中存在的现实问题，同时还要认真分析问题的成因，应结合英语小说翻译实际制定具体的应对策略，保证英语小说翻译能够尽善尽美。
一、英语小说翻译过程中存在的主要问题
1.背景知识掌握不准确。英语小说在写作过程中，许多小说中的故事和语言都有着显著的历史背景和文化背景，如果对这些背景知识掌握不准确的话，在具体的翻译过程中，就会出现只翻译出字面意思，而忽略了作者的独特用心，导致读者无法真正了解小说的内容。
同时，由于对英语小说创作背景缺乏足够的了解，导致了英语小说在翻译过程中会遇到一定的障碍，在个别段落和词组的翻译中，会出现明显错误，严重的会产生与小说意思相反的歧义，对小说的翻译准确性造成了较大的影响。
2.语法转换方面存在不足。在英语小说翻译过程中，英语语法与汉语语法存在较大差异，按照英语语法翻译出来的句子，如果不经过正确的转化，将会增加理解难度，使读者不能一下子理解小说所要表达的内容，对英语小说的翻译质量会产生非常不利的影响。
同时，英语小说在语法使用上也比较复杂，有些作者会有特定的语法使用习惯，在翻译过程中如果不注重把握这一特点，就会在语法转换方面出现问题，最直接的影响就是会影响小说的翻译质量，使读者在阅读过程中不能明白作者所想表达的意思。
3.表达方式上考虑不周。在英语小说中，所采用的表达方式都是符合英语国家人习惯的，无论是语法还是词语的应用，都以英语国家大众为准。在英语小说的翻译过程中，只有认识到表达方式上的差异，才能做好英语小说翻译工作。

从形合与意合辩证法角度观古诗翻译策略 (潘静20084033042 英语师范三班) 摘要：形合( hypotaxis ) 和意合（parataxis）是英语和汉语篇章组织的常用手段，也是英汉两种语言的重要区别所在。本文提出应当运用哲学中的辩证法原理看待语言中的形合与意合，真正做到学术研究全面、客观、严谨以及科学。一方面，要重视句子及其以下层面的语言特点：英语侧重形合，汉语侧重意合；另一方面，更要研究英汉语的意合与形合在句子层面以上（段落、篇章）所具备的不同作用：英语篇章使用词汇手段等意合组织方式，而汉语篇章中则采用重复和骈偶等形合手段【1】。本文利用对《枫桥夜泊》这首古诗的英译研究分析，强调辩证地、动态地看待英汉语中的形意合问题，改进汉语古诗翻译策略，使译作体现并契合原诗作者的思想与内容，使译作读者明白并理解原诗的内涵与文化。 关键词：形合意合辩证法古诗翻译 Abstract: The very common means of English and Chinese discourse are hypotactic and paratactic, as well as the important differences. This paper argues that hypotaxis and parataxis in a language should be researched in a dialectic way. Only in this way, can academic research become more complete and objective. On the one hand, our attention should be paid to the characteristics of English and Chinese sentences and structures below the sentences leve l–English is more hypotactic while Chinese is more paratactic. On the other hand, it is very important and necessary to study the different functions of hypotactic and paratactic structures at the level of paragraphs in the two languages. Lexically paratactic structures are often found in English paragraphs, and hypotactic structures in the form of repetition and parallelism are frequently employed in Chinese. The author attaches the high importance to research languages in a dialectic way by the analysis of Mooring at night by Maple Bridge. So that we can find some strategies about the poem translation and make the successful exchange of two kinds of people with various background. The shadow turned to the base to watch her; the hall witnessed numerous bumping into each other and in that corner the light from the lamp opposite the door caught the white curve of her neck, lit up her hair that rested there and, falling, lit up the hand upon the railing. What a magic feeling! But as you gradually sank in this dramatic journey, the inexplicable confusion and loneliness began to kidnap you. You found that you were not only the idle but also the weirdo nobody understands including yourself. Her name was like a summons to all your foolish body and her words and gestures were like fingers running upon the wires. With this confused adoration, sometimes even an unnoticeable movement or sentence would annihilate the sunshine and the hesitation between “do” or “do not” always brought heavy rain. Asking help seems to be of no sense because adults were going to acting lightly even sometimes with contempt. So the only way is to lie on the floor in a dark evening murmuring her name. I believe that sex or the thoughts about sex must accompany though there is no such description between the lines. And this kind of confusion and loneliness cannot be removed until she refuses which is sure to leave the unbearable pain for you to learn from, or luckily, accepts, which means you are going to exploring the sealed world together. Then the epiphany for love seems to be accomplished. No one can bypass the enlightenment of love to achieve the epiphany. And only by experiencing the sweetest emotion and the most endurable torture at the same time can people really get to know the original taste of love.

英语文学翻译与文化差异的处理 摘要：随着我国改革开放工作的深入开展，在今后的社会发展中，经济全球化、政治经济一体化或文化的多元化发展已经成为一种的必然的发展趋势。英语作为当前世界中应用广泛的语言，国内文化如何和英语文化进行交流就逐渐成为当前需要研究的重要问题之一。在我国发展中，中美文化差异主要体现在英语文学翻译上，这主要是由于双方在文化差异和日常生活习惯上存在明显不同。笔者对如何将英语文学翻译和文化差异的处理进行有效改善展开详细论述，希望对这项工作的开展起到更大的帮助作用。 关键词：英语文学翻译；文化差异；处理 在世界文学作品发展史上，英语文学作为重要的组成环节，不仅为人们描绘丰富的文学世界，同时还在文学作品中充分表达人物情感或是背环境，在情感与艺术的融合过程中，作品自身所具备的特征将得到十分有效的展现。所以，适当的阅读英语文学作品，不仅在很大程度上提升自身的文学素养，同时还将强化自身的审美能力。但由于我们所处语言环境与英语为母语国家不同，在生活习惯和文化发展中存在显著差异。因此，在对文学作品进行翻译的过程中，经常出现本意的扭曲或是不正确的表达，严重制约了文化交流的发展。期望在今后的发展过程中将英语文学翻译和文化差异进行良好融合，笔者将这一问题展开详细研究，希望对这项工作的开展起到更大的帮助作用。 １．翻译的内涵 本文所说的翻译，指的是将原本表达的含义用自己的语言对其进行表达。虽然说起来感觉很简单，但要想准确地进行翻译却是十分不易的。因为语言本身就是文化在发展中和社会发展形态的结合，因此我们在实际翻译环节中还应该站在文化和社会角度上对语言含义进行理解。在当前的英译汉翻译工作中，需要对英语和汉语两种不同的语言进行有效对比，从而更准确的掌握英语和汉语的特点。如英汉翻译工作中出现困难，就需要进一步加强对英汉文化的掌握，从而更有效的解决语言问题，这也是一项十分重要的环节。美国一名著名翻译家认为，翻译过程中出现差错的原因并不一定是用词不当，有可能是在翻译环节中不能对文学作品的内涵进行掌握。所以，在翻译工作中，需要对中文和英文的语言文化差异进行对比，这也是当前英语文学翻译中的主要困难。 ２．英语文学翻译中对文化差异进行正确处理的重要性 在对英语文学知识进行翻译的工作中，由于中英文之间存在十分明显的文化差异，所以也将对译文产生直接性影响。如果在此环节中不能对文化差异进行有效地处理，必然会对英语文学作品的翻译质贵造成影响，最终也将无法获取良好的翻译效果。因此我们在翻译环节中更应该采取正确的翻译方式，通过这种方式更好地对英语文学翻译环节中存在的差异进行处理，进一步提升英文翻译的准确性。文化因素在文学翮译过程中的影响十分重要。因此在不同文化和民族的交流工作中，不仅需要对语言进行理解，还应该加强对文化内涵的掌握。只有将不同的文化差异进行理解，我们才能在语言发展中更有效地解决问题，有效地降低翻译难度。
