We all know that China has the biggest population. But people in this country live quite differently. Recently, another difference between northerners and southerners became a hot one: the way they shop at markets.
People from southern China say they always buy what they need for just one or two meals. It is normal for them to buy half of a Chinese cabbage, two potatoes and 0.25 kilograms of beef at a time. However, one may be laughed at if he does this in the north. Instead, buying vegetables and meat enough for a week is usual, reported China Daily.
Also, you can buy a very small amount (量)of fruit, such as a single apple or pear, each time in the south. Shop owners even help you peel (削皮) and cut them. But hardly do shop owners in the north offer such service . And many fruits are sold in baskets and boxes.
The difference could be due to (归因于)the different climate. Food can be kept for a long time in the north, as it is usually cold and dry there. Many northerners have the habit of stocking up (储备) on food, especially for the long winter.
But the hot and wet weather in the south make southern Chinese buy just enough food for one meal or one day, or else the food may go bad.

My husband and I found a dog in a rural(乡村的)area. He tried to jump on our car.At that time we thought his
1. probably 2.was lying 3. minutes 4. don’t bite 5. us 6. to see 7. fatter 8. health 9. And 10. an
6.固定词组,take sb to do sth带某人去做某事,所以这里应该填动词不定式to see。
