各位评委,各位老师,大家好。我今天说课的题目是饭店英语前厅部的《客房预订》。下面我想先从课程大纲和教材两方面对本学科做一分析.

【课程大纲分析:】《饭店职业英语》是英语导游专业的一门必修专业课。中职饭店英语所选用的教材是东北师范大学出版的《饭店实用英语》一书。本教材主要是介绍饭店各部门的专业英语词汇和句子,通过听、说、阅读等训练,着重培养学生对饭店英语的听说和应用能力,使其能在工作岗位学以致用,为以后的发展奠定基础。

【教材分析:】

该教材选用的是东北师范大学出版的《饭店实用英语》一书。本教材根据涉外饭店服务工作的需要,用英语系统地介绍了饭店各个部门的工作,并详细地总结了服务中可能遇到的各种情形,通俗、易懂、实用. 非常适合中专学生使用。本书根据饭店的服务功能,共分为四大服务部门,分别为前厅服务,客房服务,餐饮服务和其他辅助服务,共十二个单元。

下面,我想说一下我的说课内容。它由五部分组成,分别为我对本节课所教内容的理解;我的教学理论、方法和教具;我的教学过程;板书设计和对本节课的课后总结。下面我将从第一部分开始谈起。

【教学内容】

本部分教学内容取自《饭店实用英语》的第一课,前厅服务的第一个重要职能,客房预订。饭店前厅服务主要有四大功能,分别为客房预订,登记入住,信息和问询服务,离店结账服务。所以客房预订作为第一个重要职能,它的重要性显而易见,是其他三个服务职能能够进行的基础,起着启下的作用。

【教学目标:】

1.知识目标:学生要牢记所有该课新单词,掌握和运用饭店情

景英语的功能句以及能比较熟练地运用饭店英语进行会话。

2.能力目标:通过情景设置,激发学生的模仿,表演能力。培

养学生实际语言交际的技能,能熟练运用英语应对饭店客房

预定的场景,具有充分的展示自我的能力。

3.情感目标:能在自如运用语言沟通的过程中,培养学生作为

服务人员的服务意识,职业素质,达到礼貌交际的效果。【教学重点、难点以及解决的方法:】

1.教学重点:做为前厅接待员,接待客人预订客房的电话

后,应该注意的四个步骤。这是知识技能需要达到的目

标。

2.教学难点:接待客人预订客房电话时,所用到的饭店英语功能句。只有学会了这些功能句,才能在接听电话时应对自如。学生根据实际情境需要真正开口讲英语。

解决重难点的方法:

1、课堂教学紧紧围绕重点问题来进行,教师要引导学生把理论学习与实际应用结合起来,这样能够帮助学生加深对所学知识的理解和记忆。

2、通过小组活动,理论联系实际,让学生在活动中体会和感受,调动学生学习本课程的积极性和主动性。在实践中巩固知识。

【学情分析及学习方法】

我们所针对的学生是刚从初中考上的中职一年级学生。一是学生的知识缺陷主要在于词汇量很少,英语水平较低。二是学生不善于经常使用英语去表达自己的思想和与人沟通。三是一些学生在课堂上不太活跃,不愿意主动参与到课堂教学活动中来,因为她们怕说错,做错,让别的同学笑话自己。针对这种情况,给学生提到的学法,一是要先去模仿,一些必要的功能句学说起来比较难,所以在教学中我先要求学生跟着磁带去模仿,先学最简单的功能句,然后在情景中训练,给他们一个轻松地环境,把主动权还给学生。二是鼓励学生多用英语表达自己,无论说的错与对,能张开口就是最大的进步,循序渐进的去做。三是根据学生的性格特点给他们搭档,让性格活泼的带动不爱说的参与课堂教学。

第二部分,我的教学理论、方法和教具。

【教学理论:】在处理本单元内容时,根据学生自身的情况,我采用了一下教学理论:

一是让学生作为课堂真正的主体,而老师只是作为引导者出现。英语是一门沟通工具,学生学他的目的就是为了用它。所以老师要把课堂还给学生。让她们多练习,不是说一节课都是老师在说,学生在听,那么学生永远学不会。二是把语言结构和语言功能相结合。三是让学生在学习语言的过程中获得与将来工作有关的道德教育。

【教学方法:】

为了充分发挥以学生为主体的课堂教学,并考虑到学生认知特点和年龄特征,对本课我主要采取了如下几种教法:

1.讲授法.运用录音机和VCD,播放与本课有关的对话,先让学生了解并熟悉客房预订的场景和过程,交给他们最基本的功能句。(原因。听录音是英语学习的重要方法,也是课堂教学的重要步骤。在听中可以感知,可以模仿。)

2.师生互动教学法。首先,让学生自己熟悉课文中与客房预定有关的对话,让他们自己找出作为前厅接待员,在接听要预订客房的客人电

话时自己要注意的四个步骤及它们的英语表达方式。这是我们本节课的重、难点。其次,给学生与客房预订有关的情景,让学生自己先去熟悉并练习用功能句去编写出自己的对话。师生完全可以根据当时的实际思路创造性地交流,(这种教法是实现语言知识向语言能力转变的必经之路。)

3. 情景创造法和角色表演法。在第二种教法的基础上,把教室设计成酒店前台的形式,让学生进行模拟实际场景的表演。让学生在轻松的氛围中学习英语。这是深化课堂教学的重要举措。把课堂充分的还给学生,老师只是作为一个引导者的身份出现。

4.任务型教学。把学生分组,每组给他们一个任务,先进行小组讨论,根据任务定出自己组的每个人的角色,每个人所应该用到的句型,让学生自己找出来,然后现场表演,进行小组PK,跳出最好的一组,选出五星级的服务员和客人,挑选出来的同学会有小礼物,平时成绩也会加分。而且会将每组同学的表演过程录制成视频短片,以供学生课后回顾交流。实践证明,每个同学在多媒体教学屏幕上看到自己的表现时,第一瞬间是兴奋,接着会去比较,然后想学好,表演好的兴趣会更加浓厚,这也是给学生的一种激励机制,鼓励她们学的更好。(这种教学方法对于中专的学生非常有必要,因为她们的年龄局限性,很多学生的自主学习能力较差,适当的激励机制可以鼓励学生向老师所指引的方向去发展。)

【教具:】

VCD. 录音机,多媒体

【教材处理:】根据学生的实际情况,加上对于重、难点的学习,本内容课时安排为2课时。

【教学过程:】

下面,我重点就本节课的教学过程做如下的介绍。本课分为5个环节。1.导入;2.对话演示;3.实践训练;4.巩固练习;5.作业(1)、导入新课

为了让学生能更直观,表面的进入到新课之中,我运用了图片导入法,由一张前厅部的图片和两个前厅接待员直接导入今天的主题:客房预订。(原因:中专学生更强调直观性,所以运用图片把她们引入今天的主题)

(2)、对话演示

首先,我会用VCD给学生展示一段与客房预定有关的英语小短片,这是《伦敦欢迎你》这套系列丛书的第二本的第三课“In a hotel”的节选,让学生先看看外国人进行客房预定的真实场景。然后用录音机播放本课的对话,让学生边听边模仿。尤其要注意语音语调。(听

录音和模仿说是学习一门语言最重要的方式,所以这一步骤非常重要)

(3)、实践训练

这儿用到的是情景教学法和任务型教学法。首先,让学生两人一组,先去模仿练习课文中的对话,然后引导学生找出作为前厅接待员,在接听客人预定客房的电话时应该注意到的四个步骤,再引导学生找出自己应该学说的功能句。老师在此时把步骤和功能句板书到黑板上,因为这是本节课的重难点,老师要突出给学生看。然后让学生根据功能句和课文对话,编写自己的有关客房预订的对话,上台来表演。学生的表演肯定会比较生涩,没关系,多鼓励,尽量让她们多练习我们今天的功能句。最后由老师制定任务,设计情景。把学生分为两人一组,根据指定的任务进行讨论,决定每个成员的角色,自己找自己应该用到的功能句,先做简短练习,然后课堂表演,进行组与组之间的PK,让学生自己做评委,评选出五星级的前厅接待员和客人,评选出最好的一个小组,让学生说明获胜小组和个人的优点在哪。挑选出来的同学会有小礼物,平时成绩也会加分。而且会将每组同学的表演过程录制成视频短片,以供学生课后回顾交流。实践证明,每个同学在多媒体教学屏幕上看到自己的表现时,第一瞬间是兴奋,接着会去比较,然后想学好,表演好的兴趣会更加浓厚,这也是给学生的一种激励机制,鼓励她们学的更好。这种教学方法对于中专的学生非常有必要,因为她们的年龄局限性,很多学生的自主学习能力较差,适当的激励机制可以鼓励学生向老师所指引的方向去发展。最后由老师对每组同学的表现做一个总结评论。指出下次应该注意那些方面。以此来激发学生的学习兴趣。(目的:语言是一种沟通工具,学的目的最终是为了用,把课堂还给学生,让她们能最终熟练自如的驾驭这门语言,把语言知识最终转化为语言能力)

(4)、巩固练习

让学生填写对话,加深所学的重、难点。(目的:对我们本节课所学知识的复习。)

(5)、作业训练

根据所学内容,布置作业,分书面和口头两种。(目的:书面的作业要强调学生的知识目标,让她们一是能扩充自己的词汇量,二是对功能句的记忆会更深刻。口头作业要求学生能提升自己的能力目标和情感目标,要学会应对饭店客房预订场景的需求,要学会礼貌对待顾客,微笑对待客人,要记住作为服务人员应该注意的礼节。)【板书设计:】

本节课的板书设计主要分为两大部分,左边的是教学重点,客房预订中的四个步骤,右边的是教学难点,学生应该掌握的功能句。这样学生在模仿,编写对话时,可以一目了然,有助于学生掌握本节课的重难点。

【考核办法】

因为饭店英语主要是强调学生的实际应用能力,所以学期末的考核评估办法我采用的是两种,一是口头表达方法,让学生自由组合,根据所学过的饭店服务英语的四个主要服务部门,设计一个饭店服务的场景,来编写对话并且表演出来,老师对其表演做出录音留底。二是书面考试方法,主要考察学生对学过的饭店英语的专业英语词汇和各种功能句的理解记忆力,两种方法各占50%。

【总结】

这节课是学生能否接受这门必修课的重点,大多数学生只在初中学了三年的英语,词汇量很少,而且很多学生对于英语比较排斥,觉得太难,所以如果老师还是不改变教学方式,不考虑学生的实际情况,那这门课从一开始就有可能失败。我觉得先改变学生的思想,让她们自己在模仿的基础上, 觉得其实学英语并不如想象的那么难,那么枯燥无味,而且这节课重点在于学生,老师只是一个引导者,让学生觉得自己才是主宰者。有一个轻松愉快的学习氛围,相信大多数学生能很快融入进来。缺陷我觉得在于大多数学生要一时改变不喜欢说英语,用英语与人沟通的习惯还是有一定的困难,只能采用多鼓励的方式让学生参与到课堂中来。

Hello, everyone. Today , I’m going to talk about my plan for teaching of Hotel English , and I use the first part of the front desk services----Room Reservation as my example.

First, I’d like to say something about the teaching content s. It is made up of five are my understanding of this lesson; My teaching methods, theories and aids;My teaching procedures;my

blackboard design and the summary of this I will talk about my first part.

Part 1 My understanding of this lesson

First,the analysis of the teaching material:

This lesson is the first unit of the book. ,It is also the first important function of the front desk services. There are four important functions in the front desk services. They are room reservation, check in, mail and information service, check out. Since roon reservation is the first part of the front desk services, so the importance of it is obvious. With it, the other functions can be continued. So it is the connection part of the following three studying this unit, Students can improve their oral English ability, learn more functional sentences about the hotel services. They can be familiar with the real situation of the hotel services. Reach the aim of communicating with the guest in flunt the same time, The students should receive some moral education. Let the students learn how to treat the guest in a courtesy way, let them improve their service quality and achieve the effect of communicative manners.

Second,the aims of this lesson are:

1. Knowledge aim: To remember the new words of this lesson. Grasp the functional sentences of room reservation and can use them to make their own dialogues.

2. ability aim :After the situation –creating, stimulate the students imitation and action ability, cultivate the students real communiction ability. Improve the students ability to deal with the real situation in English.

3. emotion aim:Let the students learn how to treat the guest in a courtesy way, let them improve their service quality and achieve the effect of communicative manners.

Third, the focus and difficulties are:

The important point is the four procedures to deal with a room reservation. This is the knowledge will the students grasp the four steps, they can be familiar with the real situation, the other two aims can be reached.

The difficult point is the functional sentences and the difficulty to let the students open their mouth to practice them. the

functional sentences is the base of this lesson. With them, the situation can be completed. The students can improve their speaking and communicating ability. The three aims can be reached. Another difficulty is most students are shy to open their mouth to speak english, so it is also a difficult point. Something about the Students:

1. The students came from the milldle school. Most of them only learned three years of English, they are lack of vocabulary.

2. They don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others.

3. Some Students are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes.

Part 2 My teaching theories, methods and aids

Before dealing with this lesson, according to the students own condition. I’ll do my best to carry out the following theories: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director English is a communicating tool, the students learn it just for using it,so the teacher will return the class to the students. let them practice more;Combine the language structures with the language functions; Let the students receive some moral education which relate to their future jobs while they are learning the English language.

Part 3Then teaching procedures:

According to the real condition of the have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading, especially speaking ability.

Step 1 lead in. In order to let the students get a direct impression. I used a picture of front desk to be my lead-in part.

First let the students know the front desk service, then the receptionist, then our today’s topic: room reservation. (purpose: Arouse the students interest of studying this new to the age of the students, the direct feeling sense is more attractive.)

Step2 Presentation. In this part. First I will use VCD to let the students see a short movie which has the real situation about room reservation, Here I choose the third lesson of” London welcome you” (Book II). Thus the students can have a direct touch with the real situation. Then let the students listen to the dialogue of the text, Here I will show the new words and the functional sentences to the students. Of course, this is the important points of this class. So I will write them down in the blackboard. (Purpose: listening and imitating are the basic ways to study a foreign languange. According to the fact that most of the students lack of vocabulary, writing them down on the blackboard is a must)

Step3 Practice. In this part, first I will let two students as a group, they need to imitate the dialogue of the text, then let them practice according to different situation, do the

role-playing job. Last, I will divide the students into six groups, each group have six students. Give each group a task, let them first discuss the task ,then finish the task, six groups will give us a PK. We will choose the winner group, the five –star receptionist ,the five-star will get a small gift and a high mark on their daily grades. (purpose: This is the way to change the language knowledge to the ability knowledge. Return the class to the students, let them practice more, according to the students age and interest, a suitable encourage measure can arouse the students interest to study this subject.)

Step 4 Consolidation. Show the students a short dialogue, let them have a revision about the difficult points and the important points of this class. (Purpose: A revision to the important and difficult points of this lesson. )

Step 5 Homework. According to what we have studied, assigned homework to the students, including oral practice and writing. (purpose: Writing assignment is the stress to the knowledge aim, For one part, the students can enlarge their vocabulary, for the other, it is also the stress of the important and difficult points.

Oral assignment requires the students can improve their ability aim and emotion aim, let them learn to deal with the situation about room reservation,To learn to treat the guest in a polite way, to learn to treat the guest in a smiling face,to remember the etiquette as a service personnel should note .

Part 4 Blackboard design

In the center part, I will write down the useful terms related to this lesson, the left part is the important points of this lesson, the four steps to deal with a guest who wants to reserve a room at our hotel. The right part is the difficult points of this lesson, the functional sentences of this lesson.(purpose: Write down the important and difficult points on the blackboard can help the students grasp them easily, In my opinion, the blackboard des ign can reflect the teacher’s ability of mastering the text and leading the students to master the text easily.

I want to make the design inductive, instructive and artistic.) Part 5. Summary:

This class is very important for the students, it can decide the fate of this required course. Most students only studied English for three years, they are lack of vocabulary, some of the students don’t want to learn English because they find it difficult for them. So the first step is to change the students idea about English, show them very simple functional sentences, let them to imitate, let them to be the master of the class, give them a relaxed atmosphere to study it, according to their age, using a simple encourage measure, let the students love the subject, that is my purpose of this class. The defect points is most of the students lack the ability to communicate with others in English, they are afraid of opening their mouth to speak English, that is the difficult point I will solve in the following classes.
