英语是一门语言类的学科，学习一门语言最重要的是如何去运用而不是去应付考试。在这一方面，我国的英语教育做的十分欠缺，因为现在很多学生学的都是哑巴英语，在考试中能够得到很高分数的学生，他却无法正常的外国人进行交流，多么悲哀啊!所以我们要重视起孩子的英语口语，单单依靠学校是不够的，还需要学生本身有提高英语口语的意识并且家长能够给予足够的重视。
因为我国学生在中考乃至高考的时候只有笔试没有口语考试，所以这就导致了我国学生从小就没有打好英语基础，口语的水平很低。这不单单是孩子的过失，更是老师的过失、学校的过失，其实在初中和高中的英语培养目标上，已经很明确的提出了要逐步提高孩子的口语水平，能够流利的和他人进行交流。
但是由于我国在考核学生英语水平的时候就忽略了英语口语的考核，就让老师、家长和学校忽略了对孩子英语口语的培养。但是进入大学以后，无论你是否是英语专业的学生，都要参加四六级英语的口语考试，这个口语考试的难度是很大的，对于我们从小没有接触过系统口语训练的学生来说，更是难上加难。这时候我们该怎么办呢?从基础做起已经来不及了，只能报培训班强化自己的英语口语，让自己在短时间内得到提升。
如今我国出国留学的学生越来越多，如果你没有一定的英语口语的基础，你独自一人去异国他乡生活将会是一件十分困难的事情。不仅你上课听讲会出现问题，就连你的日常生活也会遇到困难，所以大家一定要认清目前的形势，抓紧提高自己的英语口语，这样做也是对你未来的一个保障。
