※小贴士：专四大作文最关键之处在于两点：一是文章结构紧密，条理清晰，尤其是开头，中间段落过渡以及结尾要能抓住判卷老师的眼球，这就需要考生熟悉常用开头，过渡与结尾的经典句型和模式；其次是理由或原因的合理罗列，这需要考生掌握一些真题背后的公共原因或理由，真正考试时就可以信手拈来，而不至于紧张过度没了思路。
理由或原因需要二点的话，就常用on the one hand, on the other hand从个人，社会角度展开论证；而三点的话，一般用first of all, in addition, finall y∕last but not least从个人，社会和家庭朋友三角度分析原因。由于专四考试的特殊性，命题者一般会从社会进步，经济发展，环境保护，人与自然，人际交往和日常生活热点焦点事件等方向出题考察学生的英语思维与表达。基于这点，掌握一点量的所谓“公共原因和理由”就显得十分必要，比如有利于开阔眼界，增进友谊，家庭和睦，社会和谐，对经济的促进作用。

Will Tourism Bring Harm to the Environment? 2009 Nowadays,→tourism has become a very big business and even the major source of foreign exchange for some countries. Some people insist that we should spare no effort to promote tourism.﹋They believe that tourism contributes greatly to the economic growth.◎But I don’t see eye to eye with them and I insist that tourism brings harm to the environment in one way or another although it does play a part in prospering the economy.
I have two major reasons to support my view. On the one hand, in the course of exploring the tourism resources, tourism transportation, if planned poorly, can spoil scenery. For example, nearly all the trails in Mountain Hua, the most precipitous mountain in China, have been flanked with iron chains and other facilities for visitors to pass through, causing damages to the integrity of the tourism attraction. On the other hand, we can never fail to notice that scenic spots frequented by swarms of travelers are heavily polluted. Not all the tourists are aware of environmental protection and some of them litter here and there, step on the grass and even inscribe on the rocks or walls.
Therefore, we can not afford to ignore the negative effects tourism brings to the environment while we marvel at the huge income deriving from the tourist industry. 行文思路上，组织结构上，语言表达上。

On Choosing Friends
Some people like to choose those who are different from themselves while others prefer those who are similar to themselves. Either way has its point.
As we can see, similar friends mean having similar characters, sharing more likes and dislikes, thus, understanding each other becomes more easily. They chat, play, and do things together naturally and harmoniously. Therefore, they feel at ease together and everybody can have a good time. In addition, when in trouble, we try to count on similar friends for help in that the way they deal with difficulties may be more appropriate and comfortable to us.
On the other hand, if a person makes friends different from him, he gets chances to be mixed with different people and benefit from the contact with them. His friends may be different from him in character, occupation, social status, or political and religious beliefs. To make friends with them, he has to chat, play, or do together with them. In the process of doing these, he can learn a lot of things that he has never experienced by himself and he can also enjoy being with them if he knows them well.
To sum up, I think that it is a good idea for me to have both types of friends---some who are similar to me and some who are different from me. In this way,
I can have the best of both worlds.

Should Class Attendance Be Required?
Required class attendance is so common at colleges and universities that a great
many teachers and even students simply assume it is a good thing. In fact, required class attendance does more harm than good.
There are several fundamental causes that teachers should not required attendance. In the first place, rigid attendance policies do not benefit students’ studies. A case in point is that a student may have to give up a lecture which he finds vital to his studies simply because he dare not run the risk of being penalized for poor attendance in his course. In the second place, the lectures of some teachers are not always constructive.
A student should be allowed to decide for himself whether an in-class experience is worthwhile when his teacher merely repeats materials from the textbook or wastes class time by telling irrelevant stories. Finally and most importantly, there is no proven correlation between attendance and performance in a course. A student may never miss a single attendance in a course, but who knows whether or not he or she is just sitting there daydreaming all the time?
Required attendance may secure one hundred percent attendance for a course, but it does not make much sense.
四．专四写作五步骤
审题构思提纲写作检查
专四考试考生担心时间不够，经常出现作文跑题，写不完的现象。鉴于专四考试的特殊性，建议考生可以按以下步骤组织写作：
审题：拿到题目后，静下心理，仔细审题，多看几遍题目，清楚题目要求。把文章核心词和短语用下划线划出来，如果题目有生词的话，尽可能通过上下文推断意思。
构思：思考题目考的是什么方面的话题，应该从哪些方面展开。放开思路，在脑海里搜寻与题目相关的信息，例如一些相关的报道、故事和学过的课本材料，相关的词语和句型表达。
提纲：构思完成后，写一个中文或英文的简单清晰的框架结构，不需要完整句子，只需列出要到，清楚结构即可。
写作：在内容已经基本确定的情况下，把各个要点分段，需要的话可以有例子论证说明。然后用合适流畅的词语句子表达。此阶段注意：首句要经典，段落层次感明显，结尾简单明了及书写工整。
检查：检查文章中的语法、词汇、拼写和标点等是否正确；保持卷面整洁。
五．常见作文弊病及对策
1.无话可说难下笔
主要是由于考生平时很少看文章、缺乏阅读、很少构思造成的。其实纵观历年考题，基本考查的都是人们普遍关注的社会话题和热门话题。对于考生来说，平时要注意多阅读中英文报刊杂志，扩大知识面，多关注思考社会热点话题。中文的从内容上把握，学习行文思路；英文的从语言上学习，多积累地道的表达，尤其是一些常用短语的使用，而非单词。
2.有话可说不对题
有的考生文章字数挺多，但没有写到点子上，严重跑题。专四一般为提纲性
写作，要严格按照题目要求进行。平时练习时，要多拿历年真题练兵，熟悉要求、写作步骤，仔细分析范文，模仿练习。
2.文章结构混乱，缺少关联
这主要是由于没有紧扣题目要求导致。专四作文一般三段式写作，所以考生不应分段太少或太多，以免结构混乱。在论证论点时，要合理运用衔接手段，比如词汇的重复、同义反义、上下义、语义场和语法上的照应、省略、替代等。3.语言表达错误多
高分和低分的区别不在于内容和结构，其实在于语言上。低分作文会用词不当语法错误连篇累牍。考生应做到在灵活运用基本语法的基础上，多读，多写，多改。
4.词汇句式单一
用词贫乏，句式单一是英语学习者的通病。句式过于单一简单很难得高分。所以平时应多阅读文章、积累好句式表达，从阅读中提高写作。
5.时间把握不好
在保证质量的基础上，要能在规定时间内写完。一句话，卡时间多写多练。
六．作文高分策略
无论是英语专业学生还是非英语专业学生，作文往往是考试中的拦路虎，难以获得高分。模板也背了，基本语法也掌握了，句型也会使用了，可就是得不了高分数。

1.适当用不同句型结构表达语意，比如主动变被动，利于表现事实的真实客观。结尾时的we should pay great attention to可以换为great attention should be paid to.

2.善用插入语，无论是口语还是笔试作文，灵活使用插入语会文章更紧凑，起到某种修辞作用，如强调、过渡等。一般是把副词或连词等放在主语、动词或助动词后，两边加逗号隔开。如however, what’s more, actually, for example, I think, etc.
