A story about honesty (20)

I once tried to cheat in a test, but I didn’t notice this was seen by my friend. After class, she came and told me about that. I felt nervous and upset because I thought she would tell the teacher and I would get punishment anyway. To my surprise, she didn’t tell anyone, instead, she only asked me to promise not to cheat again. I finally realized the importance of honesty and I felt sorry about what I had done. I am sure I will become an honest person and never cheat again in the future.

A story about robot making (20)

Once I was asked to take part in a robot race. It was such a difficult thing for me to make a robot at that time. I started to make a plan and picked out the available materials. I had to make them together all by myself. It seemed to be impossible. Some of my friends came towards me when I had no idea. They gave me a lot of helpful advice so that I knew how to make the robot soon. In the end, I got the first prize with the perfect robot. After that, I realized the importance of working together with others.

Recently, I have read a story which happened during the Second World War. A German boy happened to see his teacher in prison and after being allowed, he went there every day to have lessons. Several months later the boy was killed when trying to destroy an oil rig which belonged to German army. A couple of days later, his father found the map in the boy’s pocket. The father immediately went to tell the American army, taking the risk of being killed without hesitation. Americans attacked these places and found a large number of chemical weapons. And the map, which was drawn by the teacher, helped a lot. It was the three people’s courage that saved millions of people’s lives.

When I was young, I was very shy. But my teacher asked me to take part in a speech competition. As for me, it was almost impossible to make a speech in public. I told myself to keep calm and I practised it again and again. When it was my time, I did it prefectly. From then on, I had the courage to deal with any problems. Because I know nothing is impossible if you have the courage to challenge it and put your heart into it.
