The main objective of technology is to simplify mankind’s daily life, but nowadays, some people find the technology does not always offer useful help to them. As a result, they hold an adverse perspective that the technology makes our life more complicated. Personally, I advocate the viewpoint that our life becomes complicated because of the development of technology.
Admittedly, the various high technological productions make our life and work convenient. Take the Internet as an example, the communication without limit of distance does benefit us and make it possible that two persons who are not familiar with each other can talk their common interests happily though they are in different countries. And the revolution of transport allows people live in one city work in another city, that is unimaginable in twenty years ago. As for the part of medicine, new technique and new machine provide an opportunity for doctors to save more lives.
However, we cannot only focus on one side of this issue, technology brings even more bad influences at the same time.
Firstly, as is known to all, now the Internet is not as pure as it used to be. Even worse, the Internet has became the tool of the offenders,
they use fake information to cheat people and get money by illegal way. What’s more, whether teenagers should surf the Internet is still debatable, because the Internet sometimes paly a role as the entrance of crime. In fact, many young people get into prison due to the positive information on the Internet and the ignorance of laws. That’s why more and more people consider the Internet as ‘the source of evil’.
Secondly, the innovation of transport causes lots of questions when it benefits us. Before the industrial revolution, human beings choose carts to be the main transport. At that time, the question of greenhouse effect does not exist, and the environment is better than today we live. It is true that the development of transport promotes the contact between countries, the international trade enriches the kinds of goods we can purchase, which improves our living standard to some extent. We should not ignore the pollution made by the advanced transport, with the environment ceaselessly deteriorating, governments of different countries have to spend a large amount of money dealing with the environment problem.
Lastly, the most important part in a person’s life is health. So everyone is willing to pay the fee of medicine even though the cost seems not reasonable. For example, a man gets sick and after a series
of physical inspection, he finds he is suffering a type of cancer. In the past, it is impossible to the cure the cancer, the patients who suffered cancer always choose to go back home and enjoy their rest of life in order to have an happy ending. But today, the advanced technology gives the man hope, is it good for the man? No, of course not, the machine can only maintain his basic demand of life, he has to stay on the bed in hospital for his rest of life, as a return, he may get two more years to live. Whatever happens in the end, the man or his family has to pay a huge amount of money, which means a family with happiness is destroyed by the ill and, the advanced technology.
In conclusion, the technology creates a new world and changes our mind completely, we can touch, we can smell, we can see the benefits we got from the development of technology. But undoubtedly, before the technology progresses to another higher level, the technology does make our life complicated.
