●让步状语从句

(1)让步状语从句通常由although, though等连词引导。

(2)注意体会汉语和英语某些地方的不同,在英语中的although和but不能同时使用,但可以与yet连用。例如:Although he is a foreigner ,he likes China very much.

(3)in spite of +名词或动名词,表示“尽管”

(1)地点状语从句常常由where来引导。

●状语从句中的省略
