短文改错训练

（1）As students, all of us will be faced a problem after passed the college entrance examination. Should we choose a good major and a good university first? Here are some different ideas. Some more prefer to choose a major first so they can learn that they are interested in. In this way they can put their hearts into study and got their favorite jobs in the future. Other believe that the environment is important to one’s develop and that graduates from key universities are more likely to find good jobs. As long as I’m concerned, the best choice is a good university if we can’t obtain all. (2) I think that travelling is a good way to learning about the world. And I like very much. There are many kinds of transport to choose of when travelling. We may neither take a plane, a train, a bus, a car, a bike, a ship or even take a trip on feet. As for me, I prefer to ride a bike. There are a good many advantages of travelling by a bike. I suppose it is not only cheaply, but also help us take exercise. Compare with other forms of transport, riding a bike causes little pollution, and is better for the environment.

（3）My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport. We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish. It is such great hotel that I would recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.

（4）One day I happened to find the chatting room on my QQ, there people were chatting in English. I try to chat with some of them. To my surprised, I found the oral English of some junior students was better than me. I asked them for advice and they told me to practise more on QQ. But every day after that I would spend one hour practise my oral English on QQ. Day by day I learned from many useful words and expressions. With time went by, I found that I could even communicate some college

students freely.

（5）Today is Tom’s 70th birthday, but there is anybody with him. He feels very disappointing. His sons didn’t care for him on this special day. Although the cakes are very delicious, but he doesn’t want to touch it. He just wants his children come and see him. Nowadays, many young people are so busy and independent which they seldom visit their parents. But blood is thick than water. Our dear parents brought us up for a lot of difficulty. Thus, we should and must bring happy to them when they become old.

（6）It is three years now since I graduate from No. 1 High School. Last Sunday, the class that I was on held a get-together, which took us a long time prepare. It was indeed not easy to get in the touch with everybody and set a well time for all of us. We all enjoyed this precious day greatly, remember the time we spent together and the people they were familiar with. It was a pity which some of us were not present as they had gone abroad for further studies. But they called back or sent greeting card from different places.

（7）It was Monday. Li Ming was the first come to the classroom. When he came into his seat, therefore, he found his bench was broken. Seen there was nobody around, he decided to change it with Wang Gang’s, and so he did. After a while, Wang Gang came. When he saw a broken bench, he carried it out of the cla ssroom. Li Ming didn’t know how he was going to do. So Li Ming came out of and found that Wang Gang has begun to repair the broken bench. Li Ming’s face turned redly. He said with Wang Gang, “Let’s repair them together. ”

（8）I like eating fruit and vegetables what are of great benefit to our healthy. Not only do they prevent us from falling into ill, but they help us lose weight. I used to hate vegetables, but follow the doctor’s advice, I gradually kicked the bad habit. Just as an old saying going, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away. ”However, there are still many children dislike fruit and vegetables. On contrary, influenced by this or that kind of advertisement, many were crazy about junk food. Consequently, they become weaker and weaker instead of getting strong. In my opinion, we must take action to change them.

（9）As the saying go, treat others as you would like to be treated. If we want to be treated well, and we should treat others well too.

Two years before, I was admitted to a high school. I felt proudly and superior. Therefore, I always looked down upon my classmates who turned for me in their studies. One day, Tom asked me help him work out a math problem. I glanced at it, and said, “So easy, what foolish you are! ”On hear it, he said angrily,“I won’t ask you again. ”I was shocking. Only then did I realize why I was so unpopular with my classmate. From then on, I tried to treat them equally and helped them with all my heart.

（10）Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr Yang. He and I used to living next to each other for many years. About half a year ago, the order came that the old building, along with many other similar ones, was going to be pulled down to make rooms for a main street. So I had to move apart. Mr Yang now lives in the suburbs near a beautiful park. His new apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to the downtown area. Therefore, Mr Yang doesn’t seem to worry about the long distance. He says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in the future.

（11）I first met Li Ming at a friend birthday party five years ago. Then I invited Li Ming over in my place. We listen to my CDs together and soon became best friends. Three years ago, Li Ming’s parents invited I to spend two wonderful week in Qingdao with them during the summer holiday. Li Ming and I loved walking along the beautifully beaches there. Last year I was ill but had to stay in the hospital for a week. Li Ming came see me every day. Then his parents changed jobs and they moved to another city. Since then we haven’t seen each other much. But we’ve kept write to each other.

（12）Recently, I noticed something unpleasantly in our school. Some students littered freely while the cleaners took pains sweep the floor. To fight so bad behavior, our class hold a meeting on the theme of“To care about our environment, start from ourselves”. We discussed heated before we agreed on one solution. From the next day on, we were divided into group to collect rubbish on every morning before class. Our

deeds won high praise for our teacher. He said they served as an example for the students to help keep the school clean. We also felt that meaningful to shoulder our responsibility for the environment around us.

（13）I came to London in February because some reason. It spent me a long time to find the job I am doing now. At first, I helped in my friend’s restaurant and he offered me food and a place to live in it. At night, I would search the Internet for jobs. One day, I receive a phone call from a Chinese school in London, but they asked me to have an interview. They were very satisfied with my performance that they decided to give me the jobs then. Since then, I have been working as a Chinese teacher in a school. The job isn’t well-paid and the campus isn’t nicely. But I like the experience of staying with children and answer their questions.

（14）I went shopping with my wife. We had a lot of things to buy them. We drive to the center of the city and stopped our car in front of the shop. An hour late, we came back to the car. And it was strange that we couldn’t open the door. So we asked a policeman for help. He was glad to help us. After a few minute, he got the door opened. Just then a man came up and shouted angrily, “How are you doing with my car? ”We were surprising and went to see number of the car. What do you think we do then? We had to speak sorry to the man again and again.

（15）When I walked into the classroom, the teacher was handing in the tests. I was feeling very nervous. I had studied at all at the weekend as I had thought it would be easy test. I went through the test for many times but I could only answer three out from the twenty questions. I did not want to fail the exam. Then, I put my book under my desk, opening it and started looking for the answer. The teacher wasn't looking at me, but I copied something. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder! The teacher caught me cheating. I don't know what to say. Luckily, the teacher did not punish for cheating but instead gave me a second chance.
