怀特(E.B.White)的书改编拍摄的。 Charlotte's Web by E.B.White Chapter 1. Before Breakfast №.1 - It's very small and weak, and it will never amount to anything. (1)To add up in number or quantity: The purchases amounted to 50 dollars.(买东西总共花了50美元。) (2)To add up in import or effect: That plan will never amount to anything.(那个计划无关紧要。) (3)To be equivalent or tantamount: 等于,如同: 【例】accusations that amount to an indictment(等同于是起诉的控告) №.2 - "But it's unfair," cried Fern. "The pig couldn't help being born small, could it? If I had been very small at birth, would you have killed me?" Why do people look at something and straight

Friendship makes life shining This book is a very lovely story among the animals and people. Whatever happened in this story, the theme is always about the power, the beauty of love—the love in friendship, family. The followings are my own feelings and opinions about this book. 1.Sympathy is very important in education. Wilbur is a weakling pig and Fern’s father was to kill him. But Fern thought it’s unfair and insisted to keep Wilbur. Fern spent more and more time in the barn, her mother was disproval of it, but her father just chuckled about it. Being na?ve is a privilege for children. As parents, they should protect it and support their children’s sympathy. 2.Love develops love. Wilbur always treated others sincerely and he was willing to believe they were kind and this was a loving place. I think that’s because he was treated lovingly by Fern. Facts improved that children growing in a happy family tend to be positive, kind and friendly. Wilbur’s action also influenced other animals, which is obvious. 3.Being humble makes one terrific. In the book, Charlotte wove several words on her web for Wilbur: some pig, terrific, radiant, and at last, humble, which helps him win in the fair. Most of us want to be terrific,

Book Report of Charlotte’s web 1. About the author. Elwyn Brooks "E. B." White (July 11, 1899 - October 1, 1985) was an American writer, best known as the author of children's books Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little, and as the co-author of the widely used language guide The Elements of Style. E. B. White graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1921. He picked up the nickname "Andy" at Cornell, where tradition confers that moniker on any male student surnamed White, after Cornell co-founder Andrew Dickson White. While at Cornell, he worked as editor of The Cornell Daily Sun with classmate Allison Danzig who later became a sportswriter for The New York Times. White was also a member of the Quill and Dagger society and Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI). He wrote for The Seattle Times and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and worked for an advertising agency before returning to New York City in 1924. He published his first article in The New Yorker magazine in 1925, then joined the staff in 1927 and continued to contribute for six decades. In the late 1930s, White turned his hand to children's fiction on behalf of a niece, Janice Hart White. His first child's book,Stuart Little, was published in 1945, and Charlotte's Web appeared in 1952. White married Katharine Sergeant Angell in 1929. Angell was also an editor at The New Yorker, and the author (as Katharine White) of Onward and Upward in the Garden. They had a son, Joel White, a naval architect and boat builder, who owned Brooklin Boatyard in Brooklin, Maine. White died on October 1, 1985, at his farm home in North Brooklin, Maine. He was buried beside his wife at the Brooklin Cemetery. 2. Summary. This book is about a little girl, called Fern "The Pig Saver" Arable, who is an ordinary farm girl. One day, her father’s sow gave birth to some piglets, Fern's father discovered one of them was a runt and decided to kill it. However, Fern wanted to let it live. Therefore her father had no choice but to give it to Fern as a pet, and she named the runt Wilbur. He is hyperactive and always exploring new things. At first, he lived with Fern until he was about 5 weeks old. Then he was sold to the Zuckermans for 6 dollars. He was reasonably happy on the Zuckermans' farm. However, day after day, he was getting lonelier, and wept as he missed the times he had with Fern. Immediately after, a warm and soothing voice told him that she was going to be his friend. So the next day, he woke up and saw his new friend dangling in front of him: Charlotte the grey spider. Thereafter, they talked to each other and commented on each oth er’s personality to pass time. After an old sheep told him that he was going to be killed and eaten, he cried again. He did not want to die and Charlotte thought of an idea to save Wilbur from his fate. She spun some words on her web, so Wilbur would be famous, a famous pig would not be killed. Thanks to Charlotte’s great idea, Wilbur was not killed. However, in the end, Charlotte died at the carnival alone. Before that, Wilbur repaid Charlotte by bringing the sack of eggs she had laid before dying back from the carnival with him.

Reading after Charlotte's Web ——A friend in need is a friend in deed I once read a book named “Charlotte's Web ".It talks about a very moving story which is one of the most remarkablely beautiful memory in my childhood. This is the gist of the story.Pig Wilbur and the spider Charlotte live in so perfect accord with each other that they built sincere friendship. However, a bad news came like a bolt from the blue: Wilbur will be killed on the Christmas day! "You never die, I'll save you!"by Charlotte when Wilbur was wailing "I don't want to die!" To fulfill her promise, Charlotte devoted all her lifetime and asked no rewards, until the moment she died. After I had read the book,I was in contemplative mood. Only leaving the selfless love and pure kindness,Charlotte's own time was at an end. When this sort of emotion has already been lacked seriously in contemporary society, this story undoubtedly moves the readers. According to my point,we need such kind of friendship in our life,so we must learn from Charlotte. As they old saying goes”A friend in need is a friend in deed”.We should help our friends as much as we could when they needed.Let us go into action, let the world become especially fine.
