【句式点拨】

此句中使用了“find sb/sth +现在分词”的结构,表示“发现……正……”,speaking 在句中作宾语补足语,表主动进行。作宾补的可以是形容词、名词、介词短语、现在分词和过去分词。

[温馨提示]

(1)当该结构中宾语是oneself 时,常表示主语“不知不觉发现自己……”。

(2)find 后面所跟不定式作宾补时一般是“to be +adj./n.”结构, to be 往往省略, 普通的实义动词不能用于该结构。 <练习>

(2)suffer用作不及物动词时,常与介词from连用,意为“受……折磨;受……之苦,患……病”,其后的名词多表示非常具体的不幸或痛苦,如:suffer from a bad cold/headaches/heart trouble/overwork/floods/droughts/a natural disaster。
