In choosing a friend, one should be very careful. A good friend can help you study. You can have fun together and make each other happy. Sometimes you will meet fair-weather friends. I look for certain qualities (品质)of character, especially understanding, honesty and reliability (可靠)

There is a fourth quality that makes a friend special. A special friend is someone with whom we can have fun. We should enjoy our lives, and we would enjoy our friendship. That is why I especially like friends who are fun to be with. A good friend likes the same things I like. We share experiences and learn from each other. A good friend has a good sense of humor, too. He likes to laugh with me. That is how we share in the joy of being friends. And I know that he is looking for the same quality in me.

One aim for this program is that t he students don?t need to carry textbooks any more. They can download math, science, social studies, and read textbooks on their iPads. Another one is that they can get free educational subjects to play in their free time!

Schools have set up a free Wi-Fi system just for the B. Y. O. T. program. Thank teachers for all their hard work to set this program up. I really think this program will go well in most schools and I also think the learning will be better than ever.

However, some schools will probably not allow this because they think that it will make kids mess around too much and they might break their iPads.

This program will let students have fun and learn at the same time. If you like your iPads and you like to read, school is getting started with reading with iPads. The first thing to remember about homework is that it needs to be done as soon as you get home from school. Since many parents do not give evening doses to help you sleep at night, the homework must be done first. If you have after-school activities, the homework should be done as soon as you get home. It is fine to allow for a snack break and also to allow for stretching breaks. Every kid of you really needs these little breaks.

Also, you should remember that it is your responsibility to do your homework. Next time you tend to depend on Mom and Dad for a roadmap, please try to struggle with it first, because it is good for you.

When you have questions, especially something about a science or a maths problem, don't always turn to your teacher! It is a good idea to struggle with them first and try to work them out. Sometimes, if this doesn?t work, look at the materials in the back of the book. They may guide you to pages and understanding everything completely.

At last, while doing homework, don?t be looking away but continue working. Setting time limits often helps with this. Different ages decide different fair amounts of time, 10-15 minutes is good for a child aged 6-8. A time of 20-30 minutes is about right for a child aged 9-12. Kids can achieve 30-45 minute intervals of study at age 13-15. This, of course, depends on your abilities to concentrate and stay on task.

( )1.The passage mainly tells children

A to do their homework quickly and properly

B to limit their time of doing homework

C not to turn to teachers when doing homework

Chuck Wall teaches management and human relations at Bakersfield College. He walked into Class One day and told his students that their homework was to perform one act of random (任意的)kindness. His students did not understand the homework and didn?t know what to do,but the professor would not answer their questions. He encouraged his students to work it out for themselves.

One week later, the students entered the classroom excited to share their stories. One student told of giving away blankets to the homeless. Another reported on helping a dog to find its owner, and another student had been trying to find a long lost friend. Students were energized (给予活力)by the homework assignment and wanted other people to be kind too. With the support of local businesses, the students made stickers to put on cars that invited people to do something kind for others. They sold the stickers and decided to donate the money to a center for the blind—not surprising, as Professor Wall is blind.

Since then, similar kindness activities have been started in schools around the world. Many schools organize a Random Acts of Kindness Week, around November 13th, to celebrate World Kindness Day. Some schools use each day of Random Acts of Kindness Week to perform a different kind act, such as making a new friend, helping someone, doing community service. or raising money for a charity. If learning is important to you,but not necessarily so,and if pleasure is what you want, these activities can be pleasant in their own way. Make sure it has go od lighting, the temperature is nice and you,re in a good chair. Or you can find some place that you can relax in without falling asleep, although there?s nothing wrong with asleep.

Next,be sure to shut off the TV, Internet, cell phone, radio or other music. Let reading be a quiet time. Mark a …… x”on your calendar every day you read, and try to keep on reading as long as possible.②A habit is much easier to form if it?s something you enjoy, not something you are made to do. My hobby is collecting stickers. It is also one of the most popular hobbies among children. Children can enjoy it because it is not an expensive hobby. 中考英语英语阅读理解精选附答案

中考英语英语阅读理解精选附答案 一、英语阅读理解专项练习试卷 1.阅读理解 Earlier this year, China achieved a new milestone (里程碑) in space research. On January 3, 2019, Chang'e-4 became the first lunar probe (月球探测器) in history to successfully land on the far side of the moon. The Earth's gravity (重力) slows the moon's rotation (自转), matching it to the speed of its orbit (公转). Therefore, the far side of the moon is almost "dark" and has never been seen. It's this sense of the unknown that makes the far side of the moon such an interesting place for scientific and space research. Being blown by solar (太阳的) winds, the far side may have the special minerals (矿物质). For this reason, Chang'e-4 will study the effect of solar winds on the lunar surface and any mineral found by the spacecraft. Chang'e-4 is also carrying flower seeds, potatoes and silkworm eggs to see whether life is possible on the moon. If it is, then the moon will become a possible choice for space travel in the future. However, research of the "dark" side isn't easy. As the far side is blocked(阻断) off from us, radio noise coming off Earth is also blocked. This is why China's relay satellite (中继卫星) Queqiao was sent up in May, 2018. Thanks to Queqiao, the communication problem between Earth and Chang'e-4 has been well solved. Power supply (电源供应) is also a challenge to the task. Chang'e-4 gets energy from the sun through its solar panels. As we know, a lunar day has the length (长度) of 28 Earth days. After Chang'e-4 was sent up on December 8, 2018, it took the probe over 20 days to orbit the moon to be in a position to be able to land in moon daylight and use its solar panels. Luckily, everything goes well, Chang'e-4 has worked on the "dark" side for over 5 months. It has sent back many photos of the far side of the moon and has been used to carry out some scientific experiments. The New York Times used the word "groundbreaking" to praise the task and wrote that "it will offer help to the history and development of the moon". (1)When was Chang'e-4 sent up? A. In May, 2018. B. On December 8, 2018. C. On January 3, 2019.
