中考要点解析____”Say”出区别

汉语”说”在英语表达中一般有四种:say ,speak,tell and talk,它们之间既有

联系又有区别,既可以单独使用,也可以互相转换,在历届中考中都占有一席之

地,是考察的重点,我分别从以下几点进行分析.

1. say,及物动词,表示说话,如:he says:I’m going to Canada for vocation. 而在宾语从句中它要变成say to,如:He said to me he was going to Canada for vocation.而这里的said to 也可以替换成tell 的过去时told, He told me he was going to Canada for vocation.由它组成的短语有say hello to sb 对...说你好,say goodbye to sb 对...说再见.

2. speak,及物动词或不及物动词,(1)作及物动词时一般表示说某种语言, 如:speak English= say it in English,例如,Can you speak English?你会说英语吗? 也可以替换为Can you say it in English?(2)作不及物动词时可用作:speak to sb, 对...说, 如: Don’t speak to the child with severity.不要用严厉的口气对孩子说话;Speak with sb 和...说,如: I only just spoke with her. 我刚刚才和她说过话。

除此之外,它还可以用于打电话用语中,如:Who is speaking?This is John speaking 等.

3. tell,及物动词一般表示”告诉”,tell sb to do sth 告诉某人做某事,tell sb not to do sth 告诉某人不要做某事.如:The teacher tells him to get to school on time.老师告诉他要准时到达学校.The policeman told the boys not to play soccer in the street.警察告诉这些男孩子不要在大街上踢足球. 除此之外,它还可以表示讲

述,如:tell a story 讲故事, tell a lie 说谎等.
