Section A 1a—2c (第1课时)

【学习目标】:

1.记住词汇--- taller, shorter, thinner, longer, calmer, wilder, heavier, funnier, smarter, quieter, more outgoing, more athletic, more serious, than

2.学习语法结构---- S + be + adj.比较级+than+被比较对象。

3.了解并初步运用形容词的比较级,能简单地描述人物外表和个性的差异。【学习重点】:

1.重点词汇和短语popular, be good at, schoolwork, make sb. laugh

2.语法结构---S + be + adj.比较级+than+被比较对象, as….as

3. 比较级的构成及用法

【学习过程】:

一、自主学习,整体感知

1. 教师先用所学的形容词描述外貌和性格特征, 然后进行比较, 引出本单元的主要句子结构“S + be + ad j.比较级+than+被比较对象”。注意先引出单音节形容词比较级, 再引出双音节和多音节形容词比较级。如: Look at the pictures of the twins Tom and Tim. They look the same. But there are some differences between them too. Can you find them? Yes, Tom is taller than Tim. Or Tim is shorter than Tom.

2. 根据例句, 教师引导学生归纳形容词的比较级的构成形式。

二、合作交流,文本探究

1. 根据课本图片完成对话

A: Is that Tara?

B: No, it isn’t. It’s Tina. Tina is shorter than Tara.

A: Is Tom smarter than Sam?

B: No, Sam is smarter than Tom.

2. 听力训练1b.听第一遍,了解全文内容注意比较级的部分.听第二遍,将答案填写在空格里。

3.Workpair 1c

4. 听力训练2a,2b.让学生先写出方框中各词的比较级,然后听,以检测正误。

5.让学生分小组,归纳形容词的比较级构成的语法规则。然后各小组向全班陈述。

6.完成2c:看图找不同。让学生在具体的句子中练习形容词比较级的用法。
