What can you find from the right column in the grammar box? Yes, we find that “i” disappears in the “What’s and name’s” and “a” disappears in “I’m”. This is called contractions. (了解缩略形式What is=What’s ,I am = I’m等)。

3. On the blackboard, make a two-column chart of the pronouns. Have students fill in the correct form of the verb to be. Have students copy the chart into their notebooks.
