Children love to play. Playing is how they grow and learn. But for some children, the idea of simple, joyful playtime can seem very far away. These boys and girls may look different from others, and not be able to move around as others do.

A center called Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for Uganda, also known as CoRSU, is working hard to change that. It is bringing together doctors, volunteers and donations from around the world. It?s the first and only center for treating disabled children in U ganda. CoRSU treats patients from all over Uganda, and nearby countries, including South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Cango.

In CoRUS, there are areas where doctors can treat patients. There?s also therapy rooms（治疗室）, housing and even a primary school. Therapy can last from a few days to a few months.

The workers at CoRSU say they feel very good about their work. Moses Dennis Kaweesa is one of them. He makes man-made body parts. He became interested in it because he grew up with a family member who had lost a leg. Mr. Kaweesa says children learn to walk and even run quickly on man-made legs. The smiles and happiness of the children give him courage every day. CoRUS receives no money from the Uganda government. It depends on donations. Most of the money comes from foreign countries. CoRSU can make a little money by providing medical services for the neighborhoods near the center.

Rio De Janeiro- China won women?s volleyball gold. The “Iron Hammer” Lang Ping w aved and smiled. After a while, she walked around the floor watching China?s championship opponent from Serbia.
