1．邀请信是邀请亲朋好友或知名人士、专家等参加某项活动时所发的邀约性书信。在国际交往以及日常的各种社交活动中，这类书信使用广泛。

2．一般邀请信具有简短、热情的特点。格式一般为：

(1)说明与收信人的相关性与写作意图；

(2)具体交代情景：包括受邀请的人，邀请朋友干什么、地点以及具体的时间等内容。并且强调为什么邀请收信人而不是别的朋友；

(3)表示期待朋友的回复。
