形容词的分类和用法

Teaching Goals (教学目标)

1. Target languages: master the usage of the adjectives.

2. Ability goals: students can use the basic adjectives correctly.

Teaching procedures(教学过程)

1.Lead-in:

Students make several sentences by using some adjectives they learned before.

e.g. It is a big room. There is an old and energetic man over there. It is very kind of you.

2. Presentation

Students read the examples on the screen, and try to find out the functions of the adjectives in the sentences.

1).大部分形容词能作定语、表语或宾语补足语, 如:a beautiful park 一座美丽的公园

2).“定冠词the + 形容词”表示一类人或物,作“主语或宾语”,意思为“……的一种人”,“……的一类东西或事情”。如:

The new will take the place of the old.

The young are fond of sports.

3).有些形容词只能作表语如:ill, glad, asleep, afraid, alive (活着的),alone(单独的)

4).有些动词加-ed 和–ing都可构成形容词,加-ed的形容词表示“人感到如何”,加-ing的形容词则用来描写事物,如:

We were excited when we heard the exciting news.

5).有些名词加后缀可变成形容词,如:lovely, friendly, windy, careful, careless, wooden等

2. Give examples to the whole class and ask students to work in groups to learn the special ones:

a heavy black Chinese steel umbrella

a famous old English country house

几个并列的形容词作定语,其语序通常为:限定词(包括冠词、所有格、人称代词、指示代词、数词等)+观点词(品质、状态,即表示好、坏、美、丑等的词)+形状或样式词+大小、长短或高低词+年龄或新旧词+颜色词+产地或来源词+材料或种类词+用途词+名词。

3.Exercise

Students finish the exercises on the grammar book individually

Check the answers in groups and correct the wrongs.

The teacher gives the key points from the exercises after their discussion.

4. Summary

The teacher gives the summary of the whole class and asks the students to make some notes at the same time.

5. Homework

1. Finish the rest exercises on the grammar book.

2. Preview the Adverbs.

Teaching reflection(教学反思)

In this class, most of students can take part in the class actively and answer my questions. However, some students can’s totally concentrate on their study, on account that they may distracted by their equipment. Therefore I will put forward questions regularly for them to discuss to ensure their study quality.
