前言
在水的社会循环中,人们对饮用水、生活用水、工业用水和农业用水的水质都有相应的要求,当天然水源的水质不满足用水要求时,就要对水进行处理,使之符合用水的要求。
天然水源作为水的自然循环的一部分,其水质在不同水源的不同地段时不同的,在一年四季的自然循环中也是不断变化的,所以有必要研究作为水源的天然水的水质特点及变化规律,以便能正确地选择水处理方法和水处理工艺。
习惯以为,上述水处理只在给水处理厂进行。但从水的社会循环的角度看,给水处理的概念应涵盖从水源到输配水的全过程。例如,对水源的保护;从水处理角度进行取水构筑物的设置;为减少水中所含的泥砂量,宜从河流的表层取水;在湖泊和水库中选择适宜的取水深度,以减少水中的藻类含量;又例如,为防止给水处理厂出厂水的水质在配水过程中恶化,应进行水的化学稳定性和生物稳定性的处理。
从天然水体取水,而不对水体生态环境产生不良影响;对城市污水和工业废水进行处理,使其排入水体不会造成污染,从而实现水资源的可持续利用,称为水的良性社会循环。
水对于人类社会,虽然是不可替代的,却是可以再生的。水在城市用水过程中,不是被消耗了,即水量上不发生变化(理论上),而只是水质发生了变化,失去了部分使用功能。采用水处理的办法改变水质,使之无害化、资源化,特别是再生回用,就能实现水的良性循环,既减少了对水资源的需求,又减少对水环境的污染,一举两得,这对人类社会发展是有重大意义的。
