[对高中英语教师课堂话语量的观察与思考] 高中英语课堂用语 [对高中英语教师课堂话语量的观察与思考] 高中英语课堂用语 发布时间:2019-07-20 03:48:37 影响了:人 一、问题的提出随着《普通高中英语课程标准(实验)》的实施,新课程改革在我国已全面铺开,本研究以译林版《牛津高中英语》教材为媒介进行调研。此教材包括五个必修模块和六个选修模块,基本词汇量为3 600,加上一些词组、短语和惯用法累计达4 500左右,几乎是新课改前的两倍词汇量。教师的备课与信息检索负担明显加大,其中Task、Project 板块超出了不少教师的知识储备和知能范围,以致很多任课教师对新教材随意删减或更换板块内容。同时,新教材侧重英语知识与技能在运用中的习得,对老师的教与学生的学提出了更高的要求。目前,很多高中学校是两年内学完全部课程,高二暑假便进入第一轮复习,因此,为了追赶教学进度,课堂教学又回到了教师“一言堂”的现状,教师再次牢牢地控制着课堂话语权,学生只是充当课堂记录员或听众。那么,教师能否通过对各板块以及校本教材等教学资源的科学整合,在额定的时间内顺利完成新课程任务?教师课堂话语量与教学效益之间究竟有什么关联呢?课堂内教师与学生的话语量应该保持怎样的比率才合理呢?本研究拟以教师课堂话语量为切入点,对课堂教学效益与教师话语量的联系进行实践调研和评估。二、研究设计1.研究问题的界定“教师话语量”(the amount of the teachers’discourse in class)指教师为了顺利完成某一教学任务进行语言交际的有意义的话语总量。它包括教师的课堂导入、讲授新课、课堂指令/活动组织、解释、评价、总结和作业布置等。“高效课堂”(highly effective teaching in class)狭义地讲叫最佳课堂教学效益,从广义的角度讲,高效课堂教学是指师生遵循教学活动客观规律,以最优速度、效益和效率促进学生在知识与技能、过程与方法、情感态度与价值观“三维目标”上获得协调、可持续的进步和发展,高效实现预期教学目标而组织实施的教学活动。[1]近来,一些学者进一步提出了对它的再界定,即:“高效课堂教学”是一种现代教学理念,以学生发展为主旨,强调以科学理论为指导,关注教学的高效性,提倡教学方式的多样化,实现教与学的统一。[2] 2.研究对象湖南省耒阳市二中58位高中英语教师、湖南省各地区教研活动中的32位英语授课教师共计90位。通过观摩课、赛课、示范课和常规课等形式对这90位教师的各种课型的话语量进行调查统计。 3.研究方法本研究主要采取调查研究法、数据统计法、文献研究法、个案分析法、行动研究法、经验总结法。通过授课、评课、课后反思等方式对教师课堂话语量进行研究和统计,并且与他们近十年的教学效果的相关数据进行对比研究,探寻科学合理的课堂师生语量比率,追求课堂教学效益最大化,把话语权充分下放给学生,使学生成为课堂学习的真正主人。 4.研究路线数据统计(教师语量与教学效果数据统计、各种课型语量结构统计)→数据分析(分析语量与教学效果的关系,研究各种课型的语量结构)→研究结果(理论形成)→教学启示(理论指导实践)三、数据分析与研究结果1.数据来源(1)课堂实录:利用电子监控录像,统计师生话语量;平时听课时利用手机、手表等工具对师生话语量进行统计。(2)访谈:对学生和老师进行访谈,了解哪些教师课堂容量大、哪些教师教学效益好等等。(3)资料收集:收集各年级、教务处的各种教学效益考核资料。2.师生课堂话语量数据统计教师话语主要由以下几个板块组成:导入、讲授新课、课堂指令/活动组织、解释、评价、总结和作业布置。学生话语主要包括:思考、回答问题、课堂训练(包括朗读、做调查研究、表演等)、记录等。表1、表2是近几年湖南省各地区32堂教改观摩课和近50堂常规课(《牛津高中英语》版教材)的话语量统计。统计得出学生平均话语量占64%,教师话语量占36%。以上观摩课均属各地区的样板课,通常是由学校备课小组按照新课改精神精心设计,并反复试教的产物。从上述数据以及授课现场发现,新课改从理论到实践均具有较好的操作性和可
