成都-Chengdu

成都，简称蓉，四川省省会，副省级市，特大城市。1993年被国务院确定为西南地区的科技、商贸、金融中心和交通、通讯枢纽。2015年11月26日，经国务院批复，被定位为国家重要的高新技术产业基地、商贸物流中心和综合交通枢纽，西部地区重要的中心城市。2016年5月，经国务院同意，国家发改委和住建部联合印发《成渝城市群发展规划》指导文件，文件中将成都定位为国家中心城市。

Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, also named as Rong, is a deputy provincial city and mega-cities of China. It has been determined to be science and technology, trade and financial center and transportation and communications hub of Southwest China in 1993 by the State Council. On November 26, 2015, with the approval of State Council, Chengdu has been positioned as the country's major high-tech industrial base, logistics center and transportation hub, as well as the important center city in middle-western region of China.

In May 2016, with the consent of the State Council, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Housing and Urban jointly issued the "Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration Development Planning" guidance document, which decides to position Chengdu as a national central city.

成都是中国五大战区之一的西部战区司令部驻地、中西部地区世界500强企业数量最多(271家)、设立外国领事馆数量最多(15个)、开通国际航线数量最多(85条)的城市、也是联合国教科文组织确定的世界美食之都。

Chengdu is the base of western China theater headquarters which is one of five theater headquarters in China. Until now, 271 out of world-top 500 multination enterprises has established branches in Chengdu, the most in middle-west area and 15 foreign countries choose to set up consulates here. Currently, Chengdu has opened 85 international airway routes. AndUnited Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has named Chengdu as the world's Food & Delights capital.

成都位于四川盆地西部，成都平原腹地，境内地势平坦、河网纵横、物产丰富、农业发达，自古就有“天府之国”的美誉。成都市下辖锦江区等10区5县和5县级市。2015年末，成都全市建成区面积1006.7平方公里，常住人口1572.8万人。

Chengdu is located in the western of Sichuan Basin, the hinterland of Chengdu Plain with flat

terrain, river network, rich products and agricultural development in its territory. Since ancient times, Chengdu enjoys a reputation as the land of abundance with 10 districts, 5 counties and 5 county-level city under its jurisdiction. By the end of 2015, Chengdu has built-up an area of 1006.7 square kilometers and a resident population of 15.728 million.

Chengdu city was built around the fifth century BC and in Western Han Dynasty it has become one of China's six major cities. During the Three Kingdoms period it was the capital of Shu Kingdom. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Chengdu people jointly issued the world's earliest paper money named as …Jiaozi? and the gov ernment established the world's first deposit management bank “Jiaoziwu”.
