Explore some ancient ruins as well as contemporary art at these underwater museums. Most of these can be seen by taking tours in glass-bottomed boats.

Baia Underwater Park, Italy

Most people know about Pompeii, the Roman city, but few know about Baia which was about three times the size of Pompeii. While Pompeii was covered in volcanic ash, Baia was abandoned in the 8th century and then hidden underwater. Today it can best be explored by divers. Museo Subacuático de Arte (MUSA), Mexico

This underwater contemporary art museum has over 500 permanent sculptures in the waters surrounding three cities in Mexico—Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Punta Nizuc. The goal of the museum is to show the interaction between art and science. All the artworks are made from special materials that will promote coral life and are fixed to the seabed. Visitors may see the art through glass bottomed boat tours and diving routes.

Museo Atlántico Lanzarote, Spain

Just opened in 2016, the Museo Atlántico Lanzarote was inspired by MUSA in Mexico and is the first underwater contemporary art museum in Europe. The museum aims to bring attention to environmental and climate change issues as well as create a new habitat for the Canary Islands. Diving instructors lead detailed tours of the nearly 300 sculptures.

Shipwreck Trail, Florida Keys

Divers can explore a series of historic shipwrecks in the Florida Keys. The oldest shipwreck is the San Pedro, which left Havana, Cuba bound for Spain in 1733. It got caught in a hurricane and sank because it didn't have enough time to return to the port. The youngest shipwreck is the Thunderbolt, built during World War II. It was donated to the Florida Keys Artificial Reef Association in1986.

Last year, my oldest son Matthew went off to college. Things at home were not as “busy” as they used to be. We still had o ur 15-year-old Gabriel with us, but we missed having Matthew around. My wife soon had a crazy idea.“Let's get a dog,”she told me.

I wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea, but agreed. I mean, what better way to replace a kid that has gone off to college than to get a dog?

When we got to the animal shelter, it seemed like every dog was a pit bull (比特犬). I’d had many bad experiences with pit bulls as a child, so I didn't want to take one of them home with me. I expected him to get mad, but he didn't. I knew that this dog had never felt love before, and he was enjoying every bit of the love I could give him in that moment. Tears began

to stream down my face because I felt everything that this poor creature was feeling right then. He just wanted to be loved; he just wanted a home and a family.

It's been a year since we took the dog home, and our lives have been changed forever. Now, his favorite thing to do is give us kisses with his giant tongue every morning. He is always there to greet us when we come home with a huge smile. He's shown us more love than any other living creature on Earth ever had before. And every time I look into his eyes, I see love, compassion and gratitude—things I never thought that a pit bull was capable of feeling.

Yelp, the San Francisco Internet company that makes reviews of restaurants and other businesses across alarge part of America, is getting into the food delivery business.

Today, the company has announced that it has agreed to acquire Eat24, a food company that delivers food to homes on behalf of partner restaurants. Yelp is paying

$134 million for the company—$75 million in cash and the rest in stock. Eat24 works with 20,000 restaurants in more than 1,500 cities all over the U.S.

On Yelp's reviews site, you can find new restaurants to suit your tastes, and now that the company is acquiring Eat24, the idea is that it will also let you take the next step: order food to your door.

“If you're looking at a restaurant, you want to be able to book that restaurant,” Yelp co-founder and CEO Jeremy said in a Tuesday interview. “If we can integrate(融入) that into the Yelp experience, it makes the site much better.”

The move is just one way that some of Internet's most recognizable names are branching into online food delivery to improve their existing business. Last August, payments company Square bought Caviar, a high-end quick food delivery service. And that same month, Uber tested a fast food delivery service called UberFRESH, which aimed to deliver meals from local restaurants to customers in less than 10 minutes.

In each case, food delivery can provide an added source of income, and it can also help these companies push the use of their existing services. The market for food delivery is hardly small, and mobile technologies can speed up the process, potentially expanding the business even further.

In modern society there is a great deal of argument about competition. Some value it highly, believing that it is responsible for social progress and prosperity. Others say

that competition is bad; that it sets one person against another; that it leads to unfriendly relationship between people.

I have taught many children who held the belief that their self-worth relied（依赖）on how well they performed at tennis and other skills.
