Customer 1:Oh, I’m so hungry. I’d like to try some real Chinese cuisine. What would you recommend, waiter?

Customer 2:Well, it depends. You see, there are eight famous Chinese cuisines: for instance, the Sichuan cuisine, the hunan cuisine ，the fujian cuisine and so on.

Customer 1:sichuan cuisine and hunan cuisine might be too hot for me.

Customer 2:Then there’s the guangdong cuisine，and the Jiangsu cuisine. Most southerners like them.

再有是粤菜和江苏菜。大多南方人都爱吃。

Customer 1: What about any special，like the zhejiang cuisine?

有什么特别的吗？比如浙江风味菜吗？

Customer 2: There’s a well-know dish called Dongpo Meat.

浙江这里有一道著名的菜叫东坡肉

Customer 1: Oh, yes. I’ve heard a lot about it. I’d like very much to try it. Where can I find it?啊，对了，听过多次了。我很想试一试。在哪儿能吃到呢

Customer 2: You can find it in most restaurants, but the best place is certainly water resource Restaurant.

Waiter：Of course.This dish was named after Su Dongpo, a great poet of the Northern Song Dynasty,who created it when he was an official in Hangzhou. It is said that, when he was in charge of the drainage work for the West Lake, Su Dongpo rewarded workers with stewed pork in soy sauce, and people later named it Dongpo Meat, to commemorate this gifted and generous poet.

当然，东坡肉是因苏东坡而命名的，苏东坡是南宋著名的诗人，他在杭州为官的时候创造了东坡肉。当他负责西湖的排水系统建设的时候，他用蘸在酱油里的炖肉来犒劳工匠，人们为了纪念这位有天赋又很慷慨的诗人，就把这道菜命名为东坡肉。
