Situation 1

In a writing class the teacher gives the students a topic to write after some warm-up exercises, and then writes notes and instructions on the blackboard to make sure that the students understand what they are supposed to do. During the time the students are working, the teacher sits at his desk and marks previous assignments. A girl raises her hand, but the teacher doesn’t see her. “Mr. Yang, I have a question please.” she has to call out.

Problem: The teacher gives a topic to students but not telling the skills of the writing . At the same time, he doesn’t play the teacher’s role correctly.He didn’t pay attention to students’reaction. It is wrong to sit his desk.

Ways:The teacher should play the teacher’s role. At the same time,the teacher should pay more attention to students’ reaction. Also he should walk through the classroom and and help students solve the problems.

Situation 2

Near the end of a 45-minute listening and speaking class, the students are practicing role-play in pairs. They start this activity about 10 minutes later than the scheduled time, so that when time is up, the students are still in the middle of their conversation. In order to finish the class on time, the teacher has to ask the students to stop talking and conclude the activity hastily.

Problem: The teacher didn’t follow the scheduled time .The teacher didn’t play role correctly.. At the same time, he doesn’t help the students to control the time.

Ways:When the teacher teaches a lesson , the teacher should prepare a complicated

lesson plan of 45 minutes and follow it .
