摘要英语是一种包容性极强的语言，在人类使用英语的两千多年历史中，英语不断与其他语言发生碰撞、融合。在此过程中，汉语和英语也发生了相互渗透的现象。本文将从语音相近及社会原因的角度出发，对英语中由粤语发音衍生而来的英语词汇这一现象进行探讨，简要分析粤语对英语的影响力极其原因。

0 引言

谈到英语中的粤语译词现象，我们不得不引出一个概念--语言接触。语言接触，是一个语言学研究的现象，发生在不同语言系统相互互动或影响之时。当不同语言的说话者密切接触时，这种接触会影响至少一种语言，并带来语音、语法、语义或其它等等社会语言学形式的变化。民族之间的贸易往来，文化交流，移民杂居，战争征服等各种形态的接触，都会引起语言的接触。

许多英语学习者一定碰到过这样的情况：英语中会看到一些从其它语言“借”来的单词，如表示“海啸”的tsunami，表示“再见”的ciao，及表示“朋友”的amigo，这三个已经被收录在伟氏大学（学院）词典》中的单词分别来自日语、意大利语及西班牙语。可见英语正受到各种语言潜移默化的影响。作为汉语方言之一的粤语，使用者集中在粤港地区。近20多年来粤语地区飞速发展的经济给粤语和英语直接接触提供了很好的机会，同样这两种语言之间
