Which word change the world ?

Good Morning,Ladies and Gentlmen,

I was deeply in thought at the first sight of this topic. What on earth could the word be ? What kind of world do we build? when I listen to the radio about World Championships in Athletics held in South Korea. It occures to me that changing the world in positively is sports.

Just thinking it over, what can get all over the world together, what can let people with different skin colour arrive to the same place for the same goal, What can make war even cease in order to make way for it .Keep thinking , Look back to history, there is just one event, It is for sake of sport ,It is the Olympic Games.I cannot help but to recollect :Is this the charming aspect of sport ? Is this the essence of the Olympic Spirit

Sport is not only a competition, but it is a way to challenge oneself. It shows us how to participate in something that is bigger than ourselves, and teaches us how to be a team and how demonstrate respect for teammates and opponents. It helps us learn how to win with respect and lose with grace. On top of this ,Sports can not only strengthen our bodies and lift up our spirits, but also significantly improve the human qualities, thus playing an important role in boosting progress and harmony of the world. We have to admit that sport has the power to change the world and it has changed. Take Olympic Games for example., It's one of the few times that the World tries to get together peacefully .No matter who we are, where we come from; no matter what we look like or which religion we believe in,If we try with hard work, discipline and dedication, we can make it.Because we have the united standard ——fairness .

Sports have changed the world, a more peaceful, harmonious and better

world .

篇一:百篇著名英文演讲 奥巴马纪念曼德拉 the president: at his trial in 1964, nelson mandela closed his statement from the dock saying, i have fought against white domination, and i have fought against black domination. i have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. it is an ideal which i hope to live for and to achieve. but if needs be, it is an ideal for which i am prepared to die. and nelson mandela lived for that ideal, and he made it real. he achieved more than could be expected of any man. today, he has gone home. and we have lost one of the most influential, courageous, and profoundly good human beings that any of us will share time with on this earth. he no longer belongs to us -- he belongs to the ages. to the people of south africa, we draw strength from the example of renewal, and reconciliation, and resilience that you made real. a free south africa at peace with itself -- thats an example to the world, and thats madibas legacy to the nation he loved. we will not likely see the likes of nelson mandela again. so it falls to us as best we can to forward the example that he set: to make decisions guided not by hate, but by love; to never discount the difference that one person can make; to strive for a future that is worthy of his sacrifice.

(examples).but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture. only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture the answer is definitely no. what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us. at last i’d like to share a famouse saying of gandhi with all of you ,that is:if you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.” 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua university announced that we should reject 10个医生宣布,我们应该拒绝入侵的西方节日, the invasion of western holidays, because they regard western holidays as an challenge 因为他们认为西方节日作为一种挑战我们的传统节日和文化。 against our traditional festivals and culture. frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with them. indeed, we should never neglect坦白地说,我不完全同意他们,的确,我们不应该忽视甚至抛弃 or even discard our traditional festivals. as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid 我们的传统节日。 traditions. but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture. there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on有明显的原因为什么一些西方节日在中国非常受欢迎 the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are 一方面,一些我们中国人没有的西方节日是合理,有意义的。 reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day. on the other 比如,父亲节和愚人节。另一方面,普遍全球化使西方文化在中 hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china.

my chinese dream 我的中国梦 i am very glad to stand here to give thier a short speech.today my topic is that the youth are the future of motherland 很高兴站在这里做这篇短小的演讲,我演讲的主题是青年是祖国的未来。 so what?s my chinese dream ? finally i will announce. we had learned a lot of knowledge and understood a lot of truth in the book. we had a basic concept to our country at that time. we know that our country is full of sunshine , and we are the future of our country, and our dreams are to be the hope of our motherland. 而好多我们亲爱的祖国委以重任培养的青年学生们变得轻浮、急躁, 更别提什么梦想,什么中国梦了? are we sick, or is our dear motherland sick? 到底是我们病了,还是我们亲爱的祖国病了? i dont want to talk about the construction of our country politics, and also speak impassioned speech on the diaoyu island event .i just want to appeal young people, showing the side of youth, good and confidence.we must learn to organize our own thoughts, correct our own concept, and change our direction to the right side in future life. china dream actually lies in our young generation, especially of the intellectuals.

At every stage of our lives we make decisions that will profoundly influence the lives of the people we're going to become, and then when we become those people, we're not always thrilled with the decisions we made. So young people pay good money to get tattoos removed that teenagers paid good money to get. Middle-aged people rushed to divorce people who young adults rushed to marry. Older adults work hard to lose what middle-aged adults worked hard to gain. On and on and on. The question is, as a psychologist, that fascinates me is, why do we make decisions that our future selves so often regret? Now, I think one of the reasons -- I'll try to convince you today — is that we have a fundamental misconception about the power of time. Every one of you knows that the rate of change slows over the human lifespan, that your children seem to change by the minute but your parents seem to change by the year. But what is the name of this magical point in life where change suddenly goes from a gallop to a crawl? Is it teenage years? Is it middle age? Is it old age? The answer, it turns out, for most people, is now, wherever now happens to be. What I want to convince you today is that all of us are walking around with an illusion, an illusion that history, our personal history, has just come to an end, that we have just recently become the people that we were always meant to be and will be for the rest of our lives. Let me give you some data to back up that claim. So here's a study of change in people's personal values over time. Here's three values. Everybody here holds all of them, but you probably know that as you grow, as you age, the balance of these values shifts. So how does it do so? Well, we asked thousands of people. We asked half of them to predict for us how much their values would change in the next 10 years, and the others to tell us how

this is the text of earl spencers tribute to his sister at her funeral. there is some very deep, powerful and heartfelt sentiment. would that those at whom it is aimed would take heed. the versions posted on several news services had minor errors. this is precisely as it was deliverd. i stand before you today the representative of a family in grief, in a country in mourning before a world in shock. we are all united not only in our desire to pay our respects to diana but rather in our need to do so. for such was her extraordinary appeal that the tens of millions of people taking part in this service all over the world via television and radio who never actually met her, feel that they, too, lost someone close to them in the early hours of sunday morning. it is a more remarkable tribute to diana than i can ever hope to offer her today. today is our chance to say thank you for the way you brightened our lives, even though god granted you but half a life. we will all feel cheated, always, that you were taken from us so young and yet we must learn to be grateful that you came along at all. only now you are gone do we truly appreciate what we are now without and we want you to know that life without you is very, very difficult. we have all despaired at our loss over the past week and only the strength of the message you gave us through your years of giving has afforded us the strength to move forward. there is a temptation to rush to canonize your memory. there is no need to do so. you stand tall enough as a human being of unique qualities not to need to be seen as a saint. indeed to sanctify your memory would be to miss out on the very core of your being, your wonderfully mischievous sense of humor with the laugh that bent you double, your joy for life transmitted wherever you took your smile, and the sparkle in those unforgettable eyes, your boundless energy which you could barely contain. but your greatest gift was your intuition, and it was a gift you used wisely. this is what underpinned all your wonderful attributes. and if we look to analyze what it was about you that had such a wide appeal, we find it in your instinctive feel for what was really important in all our lives. without your god-given sensitivity, we would be immersed in greater ignorance at the anguish of aids and hiv sufferers, the plight of the homeless, the isolation of lepers, the random destruction of land mines. diana explained to me once that it was her innermost feelings of suffering that made it possible for her to connect with her constituency of the rejected. the world sensed this part of her character and cherished her for her
