My Travel Plan

Hello, everyone! The holiday is coming and I plan to travel to Xian with my parents because there are many famous and old buildings there. We decide to go there by train, because we can open the window, and see many interesting things on our way .We can also walk around in the train and choose delicious food. What's more, maybe I can make some new friends in the train as well. I like traveling by train, although it will take us a little more time, about 20 hours.

I'm sure we are going to have a good trip!

My Hometown—Dalian

My hometown is Dalian. It’s very wonderful and it’s in the east of Bo Sea. So the weather her e is very nice, not very cold in winter and not very hot in summer. Dalian has lots of places of interest, such as Xinghai Square and the Discovery land. Xinghai Square is the biggest square in Asia. It produces fresh air and beautiful views for visitors. The Discovery land is an exciting world. You can play games and see all kinds of shows there. I think Dalian is the most beautiful city in China, although it isn’t the biggest city in China. I’m proud of it.

Many people that have been to Australia often say that Australia has more beaches than any other country-about 7000! So it's not surprising that it has one of the most famous beaches in the world, called Bondi Beach. It's one of the most beautiful beaches that I've ever seen. This is a huge,

wide, sandy beach that is very popular for water sports and swimming. It's a great place to visit and to spend some time in. It's easy to get to by bus or train from the centre of Sydney. The hotel that we stayed in was right on the beach. It was perfect!

But there’s more to see and do in Liverpoo1．At the Walker Art Gallery you can see the best art in the North of England．If you like modern art，the place to visit is the Tate Gallery．But above all, it’s the friendly and welcoming people of Liverpool who make this a city you should visit when you come to Great Britain．

I just visited the Forest Zoo last week. It’s in my home town--Dalian. It is more than 70 square kilometers.

No matter what seasons are, there are many visitors from all over the world to come here. It’s famous for not only the rare animals, but also some exhibition halls especially the rainforest museum. With many kinds of trees, it is enjoyable to breathe the fresh air.

I went there on a sunny day with my family. It was too hot to stay outside for a long time. So we sat under a tree and ate some snack. When we came back home, the sun was hidden behind the clouds and it got cool. What a funny day!

I’m looking forward to going there next time.

We're spending some time off with Lingling's uncle in Hunan Province, and I'm having a wonderful time here in Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area. It's very large, about 390 square kilometres, and it's a magic land of mountains, forests and rivers. It's famous for the strange shape of its tall rock. Some people think they look like soldiers, and other think they look like animals.

One of my earliest and most unforgettable experiences was the day my father took me to see my first football match. I was nine years old and crazy about football. All my friends at schools had been to see their favourite teams but I had never been to see a live(现场的) game.

We drove in the car for hours, it seemed. I did not know where we were going and I finally fell asleep in the car. The next thing I knew my father was shaking me awake and telling me to get out. I found myself outside a tall round building and from behind wall I could hear a huge noise.

We walked around the corner and I saw the largest number of people I had ever seen, all pushing their way through huge iron gates into the building---a football stadium.

The next two hours passed like a dream. I watched the players kick and shoot the ball, and I shouted and cheered along with the other people near me. When one of the Chester players kicked a goal, we all cheered. That was the only score of the game. Our team had won.

I was so excited that on Monday morning I couldn’t stop telling everyone what had happened. It was an unforgettable experience. And even today I’m still the fan of Chester City Football Club!

My Hero

I think in my heart, my parents are the real heroes and they really influence me.

During my life, my parents always stand beside me and help me to face all kinds of things. When I have difficulties in study, I always ask my parents for help. They will explain them for me patiently. When I meet something in life I can’t solve, my parents always encourage me to face the problems and never give up. Their spirits influence me and teach me how to get along with others. They often tell me that nothing is impossible if I put my heart into it, if I work harder, everything will be done well. From this, I become confident and brave and get the key to success.

My parents are the true heroes in my heart. They teach me to face the difficulties in life together.

Lisa has always been fat. She wanted to lose weight, not only because she wanted to look more beautiful and healthy, but also because it would make life easier.

For example, it was difficult for Lisa to find ready-made clothes. She had to ask a tailor (裁缝) to make clothes that were large enough. In school, she needed a special chair that was bigger and stronger than other chairs. If she went for a walk, she got tired very quickly.

She was also unhappy about the way people treated her sometimes. “People look at me and even make fun of me. It’s true that I’m fat, but I don’t think people should treat me differently. I can’t enjoy having dinner with my friends because I’m afraid of getting fatter.”

Sometimes when Lisa was feeling sad, she didn’t want to speak to anyone.

But now things are quite different. Last month her classmates were preparing for the School Art Week. Someone advised Lisa to play the lead role (主演) of the proud Queen who was tall and fat. Lisa agreed and practiced a lot. Soon after the play, Lisa became a star! She did so well that everybody remembered the proud Queen. She even won the first prize in the end.

Now Lisa doesn’t worry about being fat any more. She believes in the English saying “Every dog has its day.”

一模

I have always loved to have English lessons. Here are three main reasons that make me enjoy them.

First, I have a kind, patient English teacher and she is always ready to help me with my English. Second, the English lessons are interesting—we don’t just learn for exams. I remember singing the latest English songs, reporting news in English with my partner and acting an English play. I’ve benefited a lot from these activities. Above all, it is English itself that makes me love the lessons. It’s a useful language and I can use it wherever I go.

I love English lessons from the bottom of my heart and I will treasure each lesson I have.

I really like the English lessons and I think everyone in my class feel the same.

Our English lessons are full of fun and surprises. The teacher is experienced and humorous. She always provides lots of foreign news, movies and jokes for us. In this way, she makes our lessons more like an adventure—a chance to know about foreign culture and traditions.

We can improve our skills in class. That’s another reason why I like the English lessons. The teacher often uses a reading pen in the class so that we can speak English beautifully. She also gives professional suggestions on reading and writing.

I feel thankful to have such fantastic English lessons and I’m sure I will always love them.

I’m a lucky girl who has lots of friends at school. We have had much fun together and we’ve even shared some difficult times. But can you believe that there was a time when I was very lonely and had no friends at all?

It was the first autumn of my junior high school. I was so shy that I was afraid to talk to others. As a result, no one liked to play with me during the break. I always sat in my seat alone and I felt my heart break.

One day I decided to change the situation and make some friends. I tried my best to greet them with a big smile in the morning and I joined them when they played games. To my surprise, they were more friendly than I had expected. Day by day, I’ve become closer to everyone in my class. I’m not feeling lonely at all.

Now I understand that the world is what you think it is. Smile at it and it will surely smile back.

Everyone has problems but we must face them. To be honest, I used to be a “coward”, and it was my biggest problem.

It was a hot summer and we were on a trip to the countryside. When we went down a mountain, we were stopped by a river. “We must go across the wooden bridge,”said the guide. Everyone followed his words and went across the bridge, except me. I looked down to the rough river, unable to move. “Come on! You can do it!” Mum shouted. I thought for a while and took a deep breath. Then I walked out my first step. Though my legs were trembling, I reached the other side at last. My mum held me in her arms with tears in her eyes. At that moment, I knew there was nothing to be afraid of.

For me, that wooden bridge is not only a bridge, but also a road which helps me to solve my problem and leads me to courage.

To be honest, there was a time when I was a real “coward”—I was even afraid to stay in a dark room alone. Last summer holiday, I decided to challenge myself and the situation has been changed totally.

One day, I asked my mum to take me to a wooden bridge which I was afraid to go across before. But I nearly regretted at once when we reached there—the river was rough and the bridge was trembling. Mum encouraged me to go across it, but I was unable to move. After a while, I took a deep breath and walked out my first step. Though my heart was beating very fast, I walked to the other side safely. When my mum hugged me with tears in her eyes, I knew I wouldn’t be afraid of anything any more.

After that holiday, everyone was surprised at my change. I have learnt an important tip: Difficulty looks harder than it actually is. So be brave!

Holiday is a good chance for teenagers to improve themselves. During the last winter holiday, I decided to improve my handwriting.

There was a time when my handwriting was ugly and dirty. So I made up my mind to practice it in the holiday. I made a strict plan for myself. I bought a writing book and practiced many pages every day. I also borrowed my friend’s beautiful notebook so that I could learn from it. I tried my best to do it well. Day by day, my handwriting got better and better. Hard work paid off! In a writing competition at the start of the new term, my beautiful handwriting made all my teachers and classmates surprised!

We can do many meaningful things during the holidays, and my experience tells me that success comes from hard work. Never give up and we’ll succeed.
