小议学习英语语法的重要性 也许大家已经注意到我们的英语课堂教学及英语测试发生了一些变化。纵观各级英语公开课、观摩课、优质课,与我们大多数教师平时的讲课方式不同。这些课程,多数淡化甚至不进行语法学习,而是或唱或跳,或游戏或表演,一节课热热闹闹,气氛非常活跃。再者,当前的各级各类英语测试,单项语法选择题明显减少,而完形填空、阅读理解、书面表达等题型分值增加且难度加大。这些变化对于从教多年的我触动很大,令我陷入深深的反思中。难道在课堂教学中真的要丢弃语法学习吗? 其实,我认为这种现象是目前在我国英语教学界提倡的“淡化语法”所支配的结果。一些人认为语法条文是一些死的教条,不富于变化,强化语法学习势必导致我们思想僵化,学习被动,影响创造力的发挥。所以,是否淡化或放弃语法学习,目前已经成为判断一节课是否达标的标准,这也是导致一些教师放弃语法教学的根本原因。 然而,我却认为学习语法知识对英语学习有着事半功倍的作用,尤其是在没有英语作为母语的学习环境中。众所周知,语法是人们长期以来从语言中总结提炼出来的语言规律。规范语言,让人们正确地使用语言,这就是语法的作用。
