Grammar

(一)一般现在时: 找处下列句中一般现在时相应的用法。

1. We usually get up at 5:30 every morning. ___________

5 The train arrives at five past eight and leaves at ten past eight. ___________

A 表示特征，能力或现在的情况或状态。

B 时间、条件、方式及让步状语从句中的谓语动词是将来的动作或状态时，用一般

现在时表示。

C表示普遍真理，事实，也用于格言中。

D 表示习惯性,或经常发生的动作,常与频率副词连用，如often, usually,always,

sometimes, seldom, every day (week, year, night), once a week等

E表示已经计划、安排好了或时间表上所安排，并且一定要做的事情。用于这种句型的动词主要是瞬间动词：come, go, leave, arrive, begin, start, stop, close, open 等。

(二)现在进行时：找处下列句中现在进行时相应的用法。

1. The kettle is boiling. Shall I make tea?

2. He is meeting the manager tomorrow. ___

3. Jim is always coming late for class.

A 现在进行时就是表示现在（说话瞬间）正在进行或发生的动作,时间状语主要有

now；Look!或listen！

B: 表示现阶段但不一定是发生在讲话时的一个动作.

C: 表示某个按最近的计划或安排将要进行的动作。多与将来的时间连用。常见动词有:arrive, begin, come ,go ,leave,start,return,等。

D: 动作动词的进行时与always, forever, constantly, frequently, continually,all the time

等连用,表示反复的动作,含有抱怨，赞叹，厌倦等感情色彩。

( 三) 以后缀–ed结尾的形容词

–ed结尾的形容词，常用来表示―特征‖和―状态‖通常用于说明句中主语（人）的情绪

变化，常译为―某人感到……的‖，在句中作表语、定语、补语或状语。

原则上，-ed 形容词通常直接用于说明人，若修饰事物，则多为look(神态), appearance(外貌), cry(哭声), face(表情), voice(声音), mood(情绪) 等显示某人的

情感状况的名词。如

amazed / bored / embarrassed / interested / surprised / worried / excited / delighted, Pleased /disappointed 等。

(1)I’m interested in interesting people. 我对有趣的人感兴趣。（表语）

(2）He had a pleased smile on his face. 他脸上露出了满意的微笑。定语）

（3）He was worried about his worrying son.他为他令人担忧的儿子感到担忧。（表语）

(4）His behaviour at the party made us disappointed.他在晚会上的表现使我们感到很

失望。

（5）His parents knew he passed the exam ,surprised and happy.（状语）

（6）He had a pleased smile on his face. 他脸上露出了满意的微笑。（定语）

（7）He told me the news in a very excited voice. 他声音很激动地告诉了我这个消息。（定语）

(四)-ing 结尾的形容词

-ing 结尾的形容词，主要用于说明事物，表示事物的性质或特征，若用它们说明人，则表示此人具有此性质或特征。通常译为―令人……的‖，如：

interesting / amazing / boring / embarrassing / surprising / worrying / exciting等。比较并体会以下句子(1)He is frightened. 他很害怕(2) He is frightening. 他很吓人。
