Since TV entered our daily life, people's entertainment lives become more and more colorful. By watching TV, we can know newest information, enjoy brilliant plays and films. However, a term, or a problem appeared at the same time---TV addiction, which, in my opinion, is a very strong desire to watch TV because people like it very much. People who have TV addiction can be called couch potatoes. They can keep sitting before TV for a long time, even forgetting eating, sleeping, even putting their works, their plans aside. How lamentable it is! We cannot deny that we really benefit a lot from TV, but at the same time, TV also bring us many harms. How on earth should we give a remark about TV? Different people have different opinions.
Some people hold the opinion that TV really brings a lot of convenience to us. TV provides an access for us to become award not only of other groups but also of their cultures, thus our horizons become broadened. With network news broadcast, we know more about country's policy and world circumstance. With plays and other variety programs, we get a lot of pleasure. Although nowadays, computer becomes more and more popular, as many people are concerned, computer cannot replace TV forever. Because the pleasure TV brings us is more familiar, especially when the whole family sit together to watch TV together. All in all, they think TV is very beneficial for us. While, others disagree with them, because there are a lot of TV addiction, for example, a lot of students cannot finish their homework because they cannot resist the temptation of TV plays; more crazily, many football fans often stay up to watch live broadcast. Because of this, they cannot work normally in the next day. They think TV is really harmful.
In my opinion, each coin has two sides. Generally speaking, TV is good for our life. We should take good advantage of it. However, if people become addicted to it, the benefit will become harm.

As I walked around the downtown the other day, I found people, with their fancy clothes and stylish hairdos ,appear too materialistic,which is not to my liking. Wasn't there a time when things were simpler and people were more humble?Once bogged down in private interest, one finds oneself blinded by the greed and selfishness. Advocating the traditional moral values about family and community is definitely necessary. Actually it has adopted by the Chinese government as a key policy to run the coounty by combining the rule of law with the rule of virtue ,which is the essence of Confucianism.
