1. WHAT IS VISUAL CERTEXAM SUITE?

Visual CertExam Suite is a test engine designed specifically for
certification exam preparation. It allows you to create, edit and
take practice exams in an environment very similar to the real exam.
Visual CertExam Suite includes two applications:
Visual CertExam Designer allows you to create and edit your own
professional practice exams. It is designed, first of all, for
authors involved in practice exam development. The application
supports most of the question types used in certification exams
and allows you to work on an exam using the intuitive user
interface. Besides, the question preview feature lets the author see
exactly how the question will appear during the examination.
Visual CertExam Manager is designed for taking exams created with
Visual CertExam Designer. The application interface provides the
most realistic simulation of the real certification exam. Flexible
examination mode settings (which can be password-protected from
unauthorized change) make it possible to use Visual CertExam Manager
not only for self-preparation, but also for giving practice exams
to students in classrooms.
Visual CertExam Suite features:
- The most realistic certification exam simulation.
- You can work with most of the question types used in certification
exams (Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blank, Select and Place, Point
and Shot, Hot Area, Create a Tree, Build List and Reorder, Drop
and Connect).
- Ability to create case study based exams.
- The question preview feature allows the author see exactly how a
question will appear during an examination.
- Supports question text formatting, including bullets, numbering
and alignment.
- All exam data (including images) is stored in a single file that
simplifies copying and distribution of created exams.
- Printing and print preview of exam files.
- Supports the most popular image formats: GIF and JPEG.
- The Import Wizard lets automatically create exam files from
existing text files or RTF-documents with questions.
- Ability to work in a local
network using file sharing.
- You can group questions into sections based on exam topics.
- Each exam file can contain multiple instances of an exam (Exam A,
Exam B, Exam C and so on).
- You can set a password for opening an exam file in Visual CertExam
Designer to prevent unauthorized copying, editing and printing of
the exam data.
- You can restrict the ability to start an exam by setting a
password.
- Score history tracking.
- Doesn't require the installation of additional software.

2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

In order to run Visual CertExam Suite, your system must meet these
specifications:
- An IBM PC or compatible that meets the minimum hardware
requirements for your version of Microsoft Windows.
- Microsoft Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP or later version.
- A mouse or other pointing device.
- For printed output, a Windows-supported printer that can print
bitmaps. (This includes most of the laser, dot matrix and ink jet
printers that Windows supports.)

3. SETUP AND CONFIGURATION

3.1 Installation Instructions
1. Double-click the file "visual_certexam_suite_setup.exe".
2. Follow the instructions given by the setup wizard for correct
installation of the product.
3.2 Installed Files
The Visual CertExam Suite setup program copies the following files
to your computer during installation:
designer.exe Visual CertExam Designer executable
manager.exe Visual CertExam Manager executable
VCESHelp.chm HTML Help file for Visual CertExam Suite
VCESHelp.hlp WinHelp file for Visual CertExam Suite
pos.dll Library file for working with Windows Calculator
readme.txt This file
license.txt End-user license agreement
history.dat File for saving score history
Samples\*.* Sample exams and source files for import
3.3 Uninstall Instructions
If after installing Visual CertExam Suite, you find it necessary to
remove the software from your computer, perform the following steps:
1. Run the Windows Control Panel.
2. Open the Add/Remove Programs applet from Control Panel.
3. Select Visual CertExam Suite 1.9 from the list of applications
that can uninstalled by Windows.
4. Click on the Add/Remove button to uninstall Visual CertExam
Suite.

4. GETTING HELP

4.1 Using Help
Visual CertExam Suite Help system is compatible with the Windows
Help subsystems. The help file contains all of th
e information
you'll need to use Visual CertExam Suite.
To access Visual CertExam Suite Help, select Help from the menu bar,
then Contents from the drop-down menu.
To get a quick overview of Visual CertExam Suite, select Quick Start
from the Help menu.
4.2 Technical Support
If you have a problem with Visual CertExam Suite, please contact us

available for both registered and unregistered users. Please provide
